  1. A neighbour of ours is a young lass, a trainee nurse at The University Hosp, she wants a family one day, did her due diligence, decided not to be vaxed, took advice from a resident at the Hospital, her boyfriend too, he doesn't want to be firing blanks in a few years, she doesn't want be infertile........disputable, you betcha, probable maybe, possible, definitely.....Thalidimide is always in the back of the mind.
  2. FYI......TAB.COM.AU the fields for today only have jocks listed, no trainers......the nails are waiting at the coffin for the hammer.
  3. I can't argue the case there Freda as I'm not au fait with the NZ constitution, here on the mainland however there is no way any court can uphold the mandatory dictate by employers or Gov for that matter as it's against our constitution and health and safety edicts also, any employer that pulls that trick is actually breaking the law....it's law, so WTF were they thinking, they are wasting everyones time and their money as costs would be awarded against them. Having said that RVL are full of like minded people as you have in Petone, so that in itself says a lot.
  4. Well, firstly the owners association should hit them with a suit and then the trainers, the jocks are too weak to do anything, and the TA are weak as piss as well, so, what happens next? Giles is the Oz equivalent of Bernard, so one lawyer should be enough, the Poms pulled the plug quick smart when they realised what was coming, the Vic's might not be that smart, Giles is a Pom that bolted so you'd think he'd have the smarts, but no apparently.......Oh well, we'll enjoy the gunfight from north of the border, let's see.
  5. He's a smart little bugger eh? spotted a heap of fuckwits and took the piss......and gets paid for it.......George 1. Fuckwits 0
  6. Fauchi's two flatmates lap dog and the out of work vet are venting I see. One has distemper the other rabies and it's time the vet put them down. Sad he's got an underlying condition, one's been lying for ages. Is the Vet for real? His sycophant followers must be on an incentive from the dross house, maybe a free beer with every jab you get, no jab no service eh........oh well, home brew's gunna go gangbusters.
  7. He keeps failing upwards......there are a few of those.
  8. Molloys tag should read....''Fully vaccinated and free to a good home''.
  9. Oh Jesus shoot me......what has happened to the world.
  10. And Boris, The born again fuckwit, has advocated 12 to 15yo can overturn their parents decision on vax.......= I'm 12 and want to be vaccinated so get f##ked Mum and Dad.......yea right......that'll work Boris.
  11. Well it was tongue in cheek.......suffice to say......Thalidomide......remember that, those that don't, just google it.
  12. I bet you wont be saying that is a few years when your old fella falls off.
  13. See, if that happened here he can sue.....your laws are different I believe.....sadly.
  14. And of course should they refuse as my lawyer mate says........I'll sue you.........restrction of trade for a starter, impinging on my human rights as a second, and discrimination on medical/religeous/other grounds........they've made this up on the back of a napkin.....it's happened before.
  15. What happens when the inevitable arises.........I'll take the vaccine if you sign this form saying you take full responsibility if I get sick and die..........FFS!
  16. Total stupidity and wankism.......I have a lawyer friend, he's a litigation expert who says this is a potential minefield.......there will be claims galore here, it will make the lawyers richer.
  17. For a few years I lived in a room no bigger than a horse box, in that room was 2 bunks.........M R Campbell, J W Walker and L G Ace occupied that room with me, Grant was a kid and still went to school after track work, we were taught by the best, a hard bastard but the best........the difference being, the apprentice system is inherently wrong now, blokes and Sheilas that can't ride a gallop or in fact ride a horse are allowed to apprentice these kids......those allowing that mostly wouldn't know how to ride either, and if they did would fall off if the horse farted........unless there is an adoption of the South African system re an academy with great tutors or, an encouragement to recruit from pony club by incentivised [financially] experienced trainers like Freda and her ilk, any decent rider will bolt NZ as surely Hazel will. The talent is there, it is, but it needs to be nurtured......by the right people, sadly the leadership from Petone is damning and they are incompetent, so, what to do.......I don't live there, doesn't mean I don't care........
  18. One of my biggest regrets whilst training at Flemington was I never got to have a long conversation with the late great Mr Les Carlyon. I was lucky enough to have met and chatted several times to the late great Bert Lillye who was Les's contemporary in SYD. I used to drive a St George cab in the early 70's and got to drive Bert home to Sutherland down in the Shire, he spoke in glowing terms of Les, and to this day I rue an opportunity missed. His writing is evocative, it takes you there, and few journalists/Authors can do that........
  19. Post of the season!....nah, ....year!
  20. Or sending you pvt messages calling you much worse!
  21. He's good at all right, I was guilty of presumption as he told the press he was giving training away to concentrate on the stud, he doesn't have the runners he used to and Richard Litt has a number of their horses now. BTW, he proved his competence when travelling his horses, Dubai and Newmarket, a while ago now however Alverta looked amazing in the mounting yard at Newmarket, My missus waded in each way and got 15 quid the place, She would never have beaten SSB that day but young Messara proved he had the goods alright. If he chose to go training big time he would challenge all those numbers trainers and their concrete factories in town.....IMO.
  22. Ortensia was a freak KITK, so too Alverta, albeit not a gr winner she placed in the July Cup, Paul scaled back, he's only a train a few at that place and while it's a show place, remember there are only small numbers trained on it, you put 500 a morning on it and watch what happens, Hayes INC at Euroa in VIC have one, they have huge numbers and it works for them, but they have brilliant grass tracks as well, Hayes horses used to go well at Pakenham and Ballarat AWT as they were used to those tracks, so the horses had a distinct advantage over those that went to the track from conventional training centres, results since have stabilised........just wait, the tracks will break up like Geelong did, and the inevitable will happen.
  23. I know the pro-ride at WFarm has it's critics Freda, many trainers wont trial on it, pacework yes but avoid any quick stuff. There is a synthetic going in here on the coast, Lee Freedman and John Moore are used to such tracks from their ASIA days, but it's divided opinions in QLD.......I keep going back to Toowoomba as an example, the trainers and then the punters wouldn't have a bar of it.......we have dozens of sand tracks in the bush and many red dirt, maidens can run 1-8 for 12oo on the dirt, places like Gympie on their heavy sand they can't break 1-12........climate dictates here, there was never a need for an AWT at Toowoomba, their lovely grass track proves that, I'm still remembering that lovely Riccarton from my days there in the 70's, those hectic gallop mornings with so many horses up on the grasses there, WTF happened? lunatics running the show, it should be a showplace, sorry for the rant, it's a passion wasted.....you are still there making the best of what the fools have left you, I just hope your lovely horses handle their 'new' surface and that somehow the grass track is resurrected and gets through to next year......
