  1. Please excuse, however I'm sure chief will find the correct thread for this. I've just read Ardern has found 940 million dollars per fortnight to help/assist AKL business's through the next wee bit. I'm sorry I just can't take this in........NZ doesn't have the economy to find that kind of money, the lady must be printing money, it had to come, but she must be, unless it's a misprint in todays NZ Herald....can someone help me out, how on earth can you ever ever repay all these payments, your great grandchildren will be paying this off.......I know they found 75 million to bail out an insolvent racing business run by lunatics, but for Gods sake.
  2. Isn't that a prerequisite with racing administration and/or directors? Knowing SFS about racing and horses, look at Saundry, ''do you gallop them every morning''..........or words to that effect? And he wasn't the only one, John Allen and the shot-put queen of the buffet, knew pig shit about our caper and it showed.
  3. K4 fine, so from now on you have to watch every staff member 24/7 or it will cost you.....
  4. He boasted once he was a farmer, crops or stock I wonder, the only time I saw him he had hands like a baby's arse, maybe he hired farmers to farm......that'd work.
  5. I think you may have, you could have reversed perhaps, missing of course the innocents [if there are any]........useless bastard he was.
  6. Iv'e only got two words to say.....=Nathan Guy! Did you ever spot this no-hoper at your local meeting NM?
  7. Bjorn's staff disqualified. Bjorn goes up today, probably cop a fine for not being at the pool Raceday to watch his foreman supervise his staff.......or school them up on what not to do with a poly pipe.......this is unbelievable .
  8. I don't know, deflection can be terrific if it goes between 3rd and 4th slip and down to the fence for a 4!
  9. 2nd up syndrome? The Rat has an uphill straight, hope she pulled up ok.
  10. At least that narrows down the field a bit GoJ, I hear Ned Kelly has put his hand up for the job, but me thinks he might be over qualified!
  11. She'll win better races than that! Note, Murtoa is bush, look at the track, good winter going and a great sole of grass, if Bernie and the boys had their way, it would be closed down......Note, Peter Moody and Linda Meech used to travel their for a raid and education many years ago, some very good horses started their careers on that Murtoa track.
  12. Isn't that just lovely? A business that owes ASB how much? Had to be bailed out by the Gov, it makes Bernie Madoff look like Mother Teresa.
  13. Don't know Freda other than there are 'witnesses'? 3 inc the foreman go up today and Bjorn tomorrow.
  14. Of course this is alleged, Baker apparently wasn't present when this allegedly occurred, so why is he being charged? Kim Waugh wasn't present either. None of this makes sense, No wonder Doc Chapman walked away from training, we will soon need CC cameras in every corner....and swimming pools!
  15. Bjorn the baker charged with cruelty along with some of his staff, it dates back to AUG, Kim Waugh copped a fine, a slap on the wrist so lets see what happens to Baker Jnr if the charges are proved.
  16. He was a substantial firmer to boot!.......how good is that, a plunge horse at 12!
  17. Well, that track today is a joke. I'm sitting K3 km away and the kickback is in my eyes......FFS
  18. My pick this far out is Anamoe, race morning is the catalyst, if it's pouring [and it can] I may switch.
  19. Not around the Valley they're not, breakfast with the stars used to be a highlight, the 'bright' punters were there in force, and if they galloped well, well they raced well......
  20. I think HR is a jock, trainer, owner, breaker, breeder, and form technician.....or all the above.
  21. Chief, 3 of my first 4 runners at the Valley won, the other a 2yo Braquer ran 2nd to my old Boss's horse Sister Angela......my horse's were all vastly different, Pabulum a rangy, gangly old Kiwi staying type got around the Valley like he'd been there all his life, liked Caulfield too where hew was listed placed, the other two Nemonic and Agathist were having their first runs at the Valley and won easily.......Pat Hyland, Garry Clarke and Glen Darrington [Colin Hayes apprentice] were the pilots and all had amazing success riding the Valley, it's tricky. yes, but the good jocks knew where and when to go at the Valley, as does Jamie Kah nowadays at Caulfield ......IMO she rides that track better than anyone. At both tracks the pressure goes on about the 700, there is a top straight at Caulfield and you need to get going if you are back a bit about the 800 and if the favoured horses are in on the fence you by going around them cause a panic inside and often it's too late for those jocks riding too pretty.......same at the Valley, if you go before the school and wind up you'll often catch the pretty riders napping, and C Williams swoops pretty well there, as did Dwayne Dunn at his peak.....anyway, that my take, I offer it as I see it.....
  22. I'll back you chief, 1st time at Caulfield, tread warily, it can bring even the best undone, IMO it's the dog leg syndrome, and the rise going up the back......but many have done their dough backing a good thing going 1st time at the 'Heath'.
  23. I think you were a lot different to Taranaki back then, the first barrier trials I rode in were at Fielding when I transferred my apprenticeship to Jim Didham......he'd saddle them up, bring them up to the mounting yard, I'd ride em, he'd have another one ready...we trialed about 9 I think, I lost count of how many won...Holiday Wynn, Four Leaf, Hyperbole, were winners and the only ones I remember......and they all came to Australia and won, Four Leaf should have won the Melbourne Cup he was slaughtered by Midge and Jim never spoke to him for ages....he won the CB Fisher plate [Now the Sundown Classic] at his next start with Wayne Trealor on.......I can remember all this years ago but can't remember what I had for dinner last night...FFS.
