Well Forbs might scoff at Allstars there lol... but since they have won 6 of the past 8 Nz Cups (and ran 2nd in the other 2) I can look no further than number one . A previous Cup winner and current Auckland Cup champion over the 3200m stand , to be driven by near the best driver in the world ???? No need to look any further ... I just stopped at One . Should get a gun trip from there . Onya Nat !!

(harness) Hey and Mr Waller(best in the world Gallops) has been winning the Caulfield Cup and Derby too, and doesn't always need JMac ? the ex-pat young kiwi Mickey Dee taking the HUGE plums . Always followed him as is a great little jockey. Hey good to see you put the 'reverse' moz on her .!! a nice win. Sheree winning the 1st race at Ashburton just now with a 40-1 shot. Dexter not the first from the great kiwi families, after the young Herlihy and the young Wolfendon to abandon the kiwi shores for big careers in the states. One young Purdon (Nathan) doing fabulously well in Aus . and the other one Michael just won a feature trot a minute ago with Mystic Max. Give him more horses I say. It's in the blood to Win !!!

Just had a look to see who did best tonight with their teams. If we had 2nd round. DAVIS is the star with his girl Sarah O'Reilly getting The Bloss home first in the trot tonight, and Carter Dalgety also getting Krug up off 40m behind handicap (that is impressive) , plus 4 second placings too, so the 'Juniors' Team wi n comprehensively tonight. 🏆🥇💰 Mikey running 2nd with Team 'Williams'. Tim with a lot of placings tonight. The Horseman and Unhinged with a couple of wins each for their teams were in next. Followed by the Galah with a Blair Orange Win and Hunter with a Robbie Close Win and Ranga with the outsider driven by his man Morrison also saluting. then Gammalite a couple of Sam Ottley 2nds First round winner Chief Stipe had No Northerners to Cheer home tonight. Zac Butcher got 4th a couple of times to give him 4 pts for the NorthIsland team. **Blackie a Big Fat Zero (Zip, nought, 000 ) with 'Marky Boy' sitting back in a recliner chair somewhere , not turning up.💣 Stitched up again Blackie ????😄😉

Yes that was a made up lot of rubbish. The 'Expert' selectors here on the racing shows were saying all along "That's the Best Draw for him" etc .absolute Tripe. I thought working across was the worst possible result draw for him (or any horse) in a high pressure Top class horse race where Eduardo was always gunna be on the pace. always looked 'posted' . Very happy for the winner though , as NS did have his glory day last year in it, (as well as Royal Ascot bless him) so always great to see New Excited Owners and connections take the win. Willow did very well too, rode GIGA KICK a treat and gave up a Caulfield Cup ride to do it.

A great exhibition of driving last night . by all the stables. Many favoured runners using the benefit of stablemates to advantage. All AmericanLover -BD Joe combo. Republican Party got nice trip courtesy of Invitation Only. Sinbad-Sherlock. The Halberg - Southern Diamond combo was excellent. Akuta- Franco Mac. 4 Quinellas right there amongst that lot. Best staying performance ? probably Don't Stop Dreaming ? 2nd from the bad alley draw. Best Performance ? Muscle Mountain !! put him in the Interdominion surely? He'd win It easy.

Things happen quickly. The photos above look like those farms have high areas. I'm surprised they still show horses in the water. walk them up to the house maybe? Happens in Nz too. Friend of mine Andy Neal a good harness trainer lost 12 horses once training at Blenheim which gets flooding up there by Nelson at times. I had photos of 4 horse legs sticking out of the water upside down, as they tangled in the wire fences and flipped over trying to swim to safety. heart breaking stuff. Shifting a large amount of horses in a short time is No Easy Task. and making the call to do it in the first place is difficult. Every rain event is slightly different. been a lot in Oz this year too.
