  1. Not surprising that Endresz, is debating a swab validity lol. that's just chicken feed to him. He would be thinking a race-horse swab should be easy to overturn , based on his history of fighting things in court. He has fought court battles for years over company directorships, embezzelments and assorted things to do with taxes, an received long bans from company directorship, Bankrupcy issues to clear debt and Government has been chasing him for years , He keeps the large bulk of assets hidden in trust funds to keep himself afloat and gambling away his 'gains' from his failed share market enterprises . Here's just a snippet of his past from the financial review. (Some people have No respect for laws/rules/swabs 🙄) Endresz, 54, has spent a sizeable portion of his adult life under banning orders obtained by ASIC. He was born in Sydney after his father Jozsef emigrated from Hungary. The family moved to Albury, from where the young Endresz carved out a career as a corporate gadfly in the 1980s, on the edge of deals with Alan Bond, Joe Gutnick and John Elliott. He's not a shy man. He speaks volubly of the great injustices done to him, dating all the way back to 1990, when the ASX suspended his Emu Hill Gold Mines NL after he launched a bizarre $7.5 million rights issue, half of which would go into a lottery with $3.75 million paid as prizes to 12 lucky shareholders. He called it Emu Lotto. Three years later Endresz made history as the first Australian to be convicted of market manipulation, for ramping the share price of Emu Hill (now renamed CTC Resources NL) before it was delisted.
  2. Track record by about second for Luke McCarthy and DON HUGO. 1.50 for the 2300m. the Eureka winner is now the Interdominion Champion. Congratulations Luke McCarthy, Australia's best horseman and finally wins the Biggest Race . Drove an Outstanding race that even Mark Purdon probably couldn't of bettered. fantastic Win. MINSTREL 2nd for his NZ owners so the kiwis got some consolation as bridesmaids. Also Brad Hewitt clean Sweeping the Trot Interdom series with The Locomotive , and winning by lengths easy. Both those 2 look like they will be hard to beat here in July at Albion in the next Interdominion? . (It's switching to a mid year date) Definitely No Excuse for the kiwi's Not to turn up.
  3. Cheers mate . I just got home and ready to check out the 2 Interdominion titles shortly. The kiwis have won the first 4 races I see !! excellent stuff. My pick for the Pacing Grand Final unfortunately just winning the Consolation this time round. CantFindaBettorman that I had a picture of earlier in this thread. shame he didn't quite make the GF.. TACT McLoed winning for Mark Jones and Sam Thornley. MIKI PINS , the next big thing for Bootsey and Grimson. NZ bred horses broke 1.50 barrier already last month. yet another Grimson miracle. and of course THE FALCON , now winning in 1.50 for Grimson too. Dramatic improvement on his NZ form. Grimson keeping a share in that one himself to race with Boots. Should win quite a few. 'MUFASA' ran 2nd exactly a year ago TABman to JUST BELIEVE in the last Inter trot Final TABman. could improve one place this time ? Looks like THE LOCOMOTIVE has been going like a Train old mate 😁🚂🚂 could be too hard to beat with Brad Hewitt getting him going exceptionally well.
  4. Brodster , you'd be surprised how much 'stuff' hits you in the face while you're in a race, The dust sheets are very small these days for aerodynamics but surprisingly the main thing that hits you is the horses sweat. it's coming off them at a great rate straight in your face on occasion. I have no problem with Natalie Rasmussen and Kate Gath and some of the other young ladies that have a great veil sort of set up they've used for years to protect their airways. But tell this Rory Bloke , to suck it up mate, and take it like a man , and just run with the goggles 😆🤣. bit of sweat up his nostrils won't hurt him. saves putting any salt on his fish and chips too. 😁
  5. One problem NZ racing has is the deliberate fanning all over the track looking for the best lane as they turn for home in races, at a large amount of the tracks too. Resulting in horses changing direction (not keeping a straight line) all over the course. No one is trying to hurt each other. just finish first. the whole idea of the Game. In Australia they keep a much better line. but incidents happen still in the heat of battle. some of the worlds best in Hugh Bowman and Tommy Berry served long suspensions and fellow jockeys Adkins and Avdulla were very seriously injured and their mounts were destroyed in 2 sad incidents the past few years in Sydney. Thankfully the 2 jocks survived and Hugh and Tommy did 6 week suspensions for interference , the same as Denby Tait in the very sad Ashburton incident. Horses race tight at times and things can happen very quickly. I feel very sad for Megan Taylor , getting killed in a sport we all love, but no need for the coroner to pursue things. The nature of the work is 'great risk' and authorities had given the 6 week suspension , for home straight interference and taken the rules course of action as best applied. almost 2 years to the day that Megan passed. Nothing else can be achieved. (by coroner) Just remember a fine young lady doing something she loved. RIP Megan. condolences to her family and friends.
  6. An interesting bit of History for you Mr Galah. (and anyone interested) for a small bit of trot trivia. Ex-pat kiwi Brent Lilley did win the Interdominion Grand Final about 20 years ago , with GAME BID. while he was a NZ based Trainer. catch driven by Gavin Lang as Anthony Butt who had won the Heat with Game Bid was also winning with his brothers horse defending Champion Take A Moment (the GF winner at Brisbane the year before) , but he finished down the track on this occasion . might have galloped. Game Bid defeated the Raging hot favourite LA COOCARACHA who was caught 3 wide for about 3 laps off the 25m Handicap back Mark at Harold Park. I think Kerryn Manning was only defeated once with her in the 12 months up to them she had been driving it. She had won 10 straight. was a Huge run. So this year Brent (now based in Victoria for many years) is Training the Nz owned mare Queen Elida , and looks set to be probably conquered by THE LOCOMOTIVE as you suggest above . The Locomotive is a foal of the very mare Brent defeated in 'La Coocaracha' in a NSW Grand Final 2 decades ago. He's on a winning streak of 7 straight too. 😅 La Coocaracha has left several good winners including big Great Southern Star winner 'Dance Craze'. Perhaps Brent can Hope to once again Upset the Hot favourite with his star 'Queen Elida' ? and once again push the La Coocaracha family back into 2nd place like he did 20 odd years ago? . 😆 chance of a history repeat ?
  7. Well the finals are ready to Go. Luke McCarthy powered away with Don Hugo to win another Heat . The Eureka Winner looks poised to give the Champion harness man of Australia his first Interdominion Win in his 2 decade career as a trainer, and 11 attempts. NZ owned Minstrel and another good double heat winner last night Captain's Knock are both on the 2nd row. Gives DON HUGO a Huge advantage. from the 3 Alley. INTER DOMINION FINAL BARRIER DRAWS PACERS Front row: Jilliby Nitro ($9), Dangerous ($4.60), Don Hugo ($2.60), My Moonlite Dream ($16), Curly James ($12), Terry ($81), Jimartee ($101), Nerano ($26). Back row: Captain Knock ($5.50), Max Delight ($18), Minstrel ($5.50), Petes Said So ($51). Emergencies: Cantfindabettorman old mate 'Cantfinda betterhorse' didn't make the field. went very average last night sadly. DON HUGO powers away with his heat , after sitting 3 wide first half then working to the lead. He is going like a train at the moment. here he is striding away from the field easy as.
  8. Good Luck today at Geraldine. with the Rock Lobster. the B52's would be loving it. You can Only admire the dedication of all those folk at Diamonds and Nigel down on the beach at 6am today. Putting in the hard yards while we just get up for breakfast and watch replays lol😅. A brilliant early Beach Report by Nigel on Facebook unhinged just now, and wonderful pictures of the horses working up the beach. Fantastic effort Nigel. 🏆. champion effort. And what a Great win by Gavin Smith last night in a Group 1 , beating Merlin and DSD , so got an interview there with Nigel as he returned from the 'surf' lol, to congratulate him on that great drive and win in the Christian Cullen Classic last night. Is great to see a young guy getting a Big win like that , and credits from Nigel. well done to both. NZ setting such a Very high standard of harness action yet again. KEAYANG Zahara not too shabby for Oz either .
  9. We have a QLD right wing Senator 'Fish and Chip lady' in Queensland and she is the most unpopular person I've ever seen . Keeps giving 'everyone' curry All the time. I guess you can't mix good tucker and politics and expect to get away with it. Can we Export her to you ? She is even trying curry on the fish and chips lately 😎.
  10. It's just because of the starting points really. That was an old track at Bathurst and the corner comes up on them quick. Saturday night they will be at Menangle , (where they should of had All the Heats) and they can stride out well. To avoid the '3 wide issue' of a horse squeezed at the first corner they put the mile start out to 1660m decades ago here at Albion , so nearly everytime now they have made a decision and only 2 deep first corner and in formation Very Quickly every race . At a mile there was still a lot of that Sqeezing and 'Encroaching ' that you mentioned , and incidents all the time. Auckland Alexandra is even better and put it out to 1700m to avoid trouble. Bathurst ran them 1730m Wednesday night , but the corner just too close for these fast horses. there was tightening in the pacers races too first corner. Should of just been at Menangle and avoided all that . Next 3 Interdominions are at Brisbane each July for 3 years. Excellent !!! winter holiday's for all the BOAY harness folk? and don't forget to bring your horses .
  11. I think that young fella was kicking up in the centre there too much Mr Galah. I can see what you're saying with Queen Elida bearing down on them 3 wide and coming in, but the champion driver (Cam 'the-swayzee' Hart) drawn the pole was Never Ever gunna hand up to anyone but Queen Elida in that trot. Young Will Rixon is only 23 years old and showed his inexperience by being a Cam Hart/Chris Alford Sandwich. he should of backed off to third, and kept trotting on that Keayang Trotter. It probably won't make the Grand Final now. A harsh lesson for the young bloke there.
  12. 2nd Round completed at Bathurst Last night. Alas there was some driving rain during the program. But it slowed them down none. Luke McCarthy the most impressive with DON HUGO . He won the richest race in the country in September The Eureka and a $1,000,000 in one go as well. DON HUGO Might just add the Interdom Final to that Tally shortly too. MINSTREL broke up, with a gear Malfunction . so no points for him and the NZ connections this time round . 😢 NZ Cup winning Trainer Jason Grimson had a better night with 'Nerano' 1st, 'District Attorney' 2nd and 'Cya art' 3rd in their heats through the night. 'Curly James' back a bit though. the NZowned Trotting Queen of the track QUEEN ELIDA won her 2nd heat easy enough , as did her arch rival from Vic The Locomotive. they are on track for a Big Showdown in the Final. Here's the Queen in one of her wins. one of Aus best in Chris Alford normally drives her for her swag of Kiwi owners. Ex-pat kiwi Brent Lilley has done a wonderful job with her through her career. She can be the NZ rep this time round with herself foaled in NZ and a expat kiwi trainer, and owners. Hope she brings home the bacon 🍟
  13. you wouldn't dare. The Sunday sound of chain saws ringing through the suburbs ? People like to sleep in there don't they?
  14. Don't know the answer to that , but do remember Forbury Park in Spring 79' being the place where future NZ Cup winner 'Hands Down' crashed with bad manners to the track in the Maiden mobile, as a ripping hot favourite.😅 were you there to see that one Mikey? My old dad tuned into it on the radio in Auckland . think it was Lochie Marshall commentating those days. " Hands Down . he's Down alright " maybe one of Hills won that race even.🤔
  15. It would be a huge run to win from that draw ? in that quality field this Friday. Maybe Renegade from the Pole draw could get the Fish and Chips ? He closed real well the other day. Dreams Are Free might see his older Half brother Win though. A couple of races before. Don't Stop Dreaming could be knocking off Merlin in the (Group 1) 4 year-old Christian Cullen Race ? they had a great duel in the Derby last year and run the Quinalla PHOTO below. . Both were enormous at their last starts the other day too, as well as this great race last December.
  16. Nice memories Ranga. !! Nice win by McShane to Open the proceedings. Here's a Photo for you to enjoy Chief in the race Ranga has mentioned. (Go John !! ) not many beat Scotch Notch. (the original Keayang Zahara !! ) Scotch Notch winning the Grand Final by 6 lengths a week or 2 later. and just before the Bad boy winning the Pacers Final just after . 😁. (That was first of 10 Interdominions I attended and the first of something is generally the One that sticks out most in your memories, very fondly)
  17. Speaking of Jack Smolenski (with Arapaho) and Bob Cameron . They used to Dominate the GREAT NORTHERN DERBY every year at Alexandra Park. These are the years I went along when got involved in harness racing and the South Island horses ran the Quinella nearly every time. Jack and Bob with 3 quinella's togeather. Us North Islanders thought these Southern Blokes like Jack and Bob were some sort of Super Human Supermen Trainers that were impossible to beat with their colts. 😅 Here's the results of the live races I saw. Not a bloody Northerner in sight . Barry trained Melton Monarch for the Dalgety's each time he came North for races . but essentially a South Island horse . Metal Mickey trained in my street by Clive Herbert in South Auckland, and driven by a Junior driver no body had heard of at the time. A young Anthony Butt. helping the North Islanders get something 🤣😂 The Great SOUTHERN Derby they should of called it. crazy southern invaders lol. 1986 1st Laser Lad Peter Jones 1985 1st Nardinski 2nd Metal Mickey Jack Smolenski 1984 1st Roydon Glen 2nd Half the length of straight 😆 W F (Fred) Fletcher 1983 1st Mighty Me 2nd Timely Play (Jack) Robert M Cameron 1982 1st Mel's Boy 2nd Mister Woodchips Jack W Smolenski 1981 1/ Melton Monarch 2nd Vitaman Barry Purdon 1980 1st Armbro Wings 2nd Armalight Colin De Filippi 1979 1st Matai Dreamer 2nd Ostrava (Jack) Robert M Cameron 1978 1st Main Star 2nd Jayex (Jack ) Robert M Cameron Bob Cameron on the Favourite in 1980 named GAME ADIOS . They had won the Nz Derby at Addington that season , but he stopped to a walk in the Great Northern Derby that year, with some controversy as was not in good health but they started in the race anyway. Armbro Wings from the Deep South Alex Milne's beat the champ mare Armalight (Wolfie) by a nose in a big upset. Roydon Glen won by a Huge margin his year . many many lengths. then won 12 out of 12 as a 4 year-old after.
  18. A huge Addington Crowd to see ARAPAHO bolt in by 5 lengths. be lucky to get a good spot to see Murray ? Here is the race result for you Murray , and Arapaho and Jack Smolenski sailing in for that great Cup win.
  19. Team Bond and Team Hall in the Wild WA have been buying horses successfully for decades. I'm TheMightyQuinn probably the highlight. Regazzo Mach in recent times, at over $400k set them back a bit , as didn't perform at that value. so now they are way more reluctant to shell out the Big bucks anymore. Absolutely. You cannot Possibly improve a horse on the best in the Business . There's one here in Queensland . ALWAYS HAVE FAITH who had won 4 out of 7 end of 2021 (3 at Addington) for the Allstars , for $50k . And sold to Greg Mitchell , an Albion Park committeeman millionaire who has a few horses with Grant Dixon . they must of paid a Absolute Fortune for it ? hundreds of thousands ? but turned into nothing. the Horse raced on just last Friday at Albion here Race 8, in a poor Midweek field of horses. and ran 2nd last not even close 🤕. No chance of improving a horse on Allstars. what were they thinking? WE ALWAYS HAVE FAITH has raced 34 times just this year for 3 wins and $41k. Barely broke even. and it's spose to be a good Horse? they go pretty quick these days. They must be HUGELY disappointed. Better to settle on a ''tried trotter ' as you were saying. they are more longitive in career and not burnt out from the speeds which are still back at 1.58 to 2.00 MR mostly , consistantly around Australia and NZ.
  20. Well The Gath stable had great success with Tornado Valley as a fairly 'used' older horses from NZ. He became a millionaire winning the Interdominion and so owner Norm Jenkinbought several tried trotters from NZ last few years trying to replicate that. The Gath trotters are going poorly lately though 🤔. Not sure what has happened. The French trotter that Won the Great Southern Star defeating Just Believe early in year, didn't fire a shot for them first up for the stable, the other night for the Gaths. Your thread horse Imperial Command galloped and ran last Wednesday night on a All TROT Bendigo racecard. The Gath 3 yearold filly Saydie also last and banned to the trials as well. Is amazing they have enough trotters in Victoria , to sometimes run all trot race-cards . Something they should encourage in NZ, as anyone can win those sort of races. (Not just the Premier stables) You could just half those big 16 horse Trot fields into 8 racing across 2 races, and a LOT more people get a winning horse then to keep them motivated and interested. .
  21. Looks like The Dinner man is up for a Seafood Banquet now. Stepping it up from the Chicken dinner. Well done Westview and Unhinged syndicates . A Rock Lobster Victory today at Akaroa !! 1st 14 ROCK LOBSTER JOHN DUNN FT ODS 12.00 3.30 2nd 12 SOLEMN SON KYLE CAMERON FT 3.70 3rd 5 OLIVER COLIN DEFILIPPI FT 2.25 Owners: Westview Racing No.25 Syndicate, Mrs M J Garters, R L Garters, The Witches Of Westview No.2 Syndicate, Unhinged Racing Syndicate Breeder: Mrs B A Williamson Comment: Looking like a fish out of water lately. Capable enough. Time will be her friend.
  22. No NZ trained horses after the hard exertions of Cup week at Addington. BUT there is a few Kiwi Owners involved. MINSTREL winning his heat quite impressively last night . trained in the wild West but a lot of NZ connections including Robin Butt. MINSTREL NZ $ 15,400 Fr1 1 G F J Bond, S A Bond Deni Roberts $ 1.70 fav PRBT GS L BL 1 SWAB BROWN GELDING 7 by ROCKNROLL HANOVER USA out of OVARIDE (NZ) (MACH THREE CA) Owner(s): Team Bond Pty Ltd, Birchbrook Breeding Ltd, R D Butt, J R Butt, A J Hickman, P M Hickman, The Running Camel Pty Ltd Breeder(s): Birchbrook Breeding Ltd, P M Calder, J R Butt Another heat winner a horse I always admire Cantfindabetterman . Still with a heap of kiwi owners. and Diane Reilly too. Here's a photo of the tough old boy too when trained down South NZ. Brad also winning the other Pacers heat with 'Captains Knock'. Brad knowing these NSW tracks like the back of his hand will be hard to beat in both the trot and pacing finals. Would be an ASTOUNDING Double if he could do it. But cheering for this gorgeous old Southland horse. What a real tryer he is. Can'tfind a betterhorse lol
  23. thank you Brodie. You have me enjoying the Canterbury racing so much these days I didn't even view the AKLD trots. So I'm getting a bit worried about them lol. Great racing last week at the Mot too on the grass. And amazingly they have odds up for 2 Green Miles already on Sportsbet. Never seen grass tracks odds up the day before. (just those 2 races) Think Oscar Bonavena looks a special in the Trot. OscarB just beat superstar Just Believe the other day in the Nz trotting FFA so will/should just play with this lot. Can't see the Auckland Cup winner Better Eclipse winning the pace ? 😅. Greg is terrific driver but surely the 'Course ' experts will be out-driving/maneuvering him on the Big Methven Straight ?? I've gone a Blair Orange Green mile Double at 100-1 😆 for a couple of bucks (Oscar served by the Bartender 🤣) taking American Me as well , since he won a Methven Cup I think.
  24. The Grand Final Result Race 9 the Ace of Diamonds 2 year old Fillies. Stella Rogue is too Powerful , and we can't send JJ home without a winner , so he can take the 5 points there. Captain's Mistress a great 2nd circling the field for Chief from the Bad draw and gets him 4 pts. Joyride a creditable 4th for young Carter and Gamma gets 3 pts. Brodie had his 4th Gallop 🏇🏇🏇🏇 of the night with Hot and Dangerous. some sort of record for the Brodster. FINAL STANDINGS Congratulations Chief we all knew were the BOAY ACE already , and now the Title to prove It. 🏆 31 points. your shout mate 😎 🤣 Gamma 28 pts, The Galah 27 pts, JJ Flash 25 pts (ultimately tipping the wild galloping Brodster over ) Brodie 24 pts.
  25. Chief riding with Captain's Mistress in the Last Leg . showing as $2.80 favourite. could be Chief's maiden comp win ? on the beautiful half sister to Merlin. or can it go all wrong lol 😁 and Gamma (Joyride) , The Galah ( Arafura ) power over the top late ? Brodster has had too many gallops and not enough beers so can't win. The JJ Flash has seen enough of the BOAY Power-force tonight, and probably returned to the Dark side of the Moon.
