Emma Stewart Stay Continues. Makes legal sense.
Gammalite replied to Chief Stipe's topic in Trotting Chat
Well they finally heard the appeal this week by Emma on the 'Stay of proceedings' for the 6 month disqualification from Sept last year. The Disqualification officially quashed. Emma being an excellent trainer and still preparing 105 starters for 43 wins this year ($865,000) and that after had even transferred many horses to partner Clayton Tonkin with all this Stay of proceedings going on. a very good win ratio. (compared to say star NSW horseman Luke McCarthy 227 starters for 45 wins ( also earning near $865,000) ) 5 JUN 2024 Last Updated 6 Jun 2024 Trainer Emma Stewart has been fined $12,000 but escaped disqualification after the Victorian Racing Tribunal heard her appeals today. Harness Racing Victoria stewards disqualified Stewart in December for six months after she plead guilty to administering an injection to Act Now and attempting to administer an injection to Show Me Heaven a day before their September 17 races, an offence under the rules of racing. Judge Bowman said, as a result, the panel did not believe a period of disqualification was appropriate, but instead was imposing the financial penalty of $5000 for each charge. βWe appreciate this is a substantial amount for the administration of a substance that has no affect on performance,β Judge Bowman said. Stewart was fined a further $2000 for failure to thoroughly maintain a log book, which Judge Bowman upheld, increasing the total penalty to $12,000. -

Chief the GOAT gets 'Bev' into the placings there in race 4 so is not dead yet. Gamma is No Leonardo DiCaprio so couldn't get 'The Revenant' back from the dead πͺ Brodster tried to 'Shake A Leg" up the passing lane and got 6 points for his trouble. The Galah still leads though with being tough like 'Carbon' getting 2 points for 4th in Race 4. Points after Race 4 and halfway home The Galah 16 points, Brodster 14 points , Chief 4 points (at $6.70 the place) lol for the goat. Gamma (big fat 0) -

While Chief and the Galah and Aardies Express possibly are enhancing their performance with a bit of Aminorex, Livamisole and/or assorted cuppa's, seems a good time for a tie-breaker while waiting for some Auckland trots to start soon , and enhance own performance with a nice XXXX beer and a tipping comp ππ. the Brodie-Meister better have a runner as well as know he loves Auckland trotting and wouldn't want us to beat him. π posting your horses soon. π

Just not starting or training enough horses mate. Too many 'old' trainers possibly , who only want to do a few horses at a time. John Dickie started just 29, J Cox 26, Hayden Cullen 22 ?? etc etc. and it's been half a year and they start one horse per week ??? they are fairly big names and there are many more with very poor numbers. Cullen has just had Greeeat grounding at Allstars and Telfers. should be starting plenty. Mark Jones scratching around on the grass tracks all the time, he should build a Metro team with SamO and should do better. G Great to see the Dunns at 'the beach' with lots of horses though , and lots of staff, lots of effort, and lots of Winners !! π°ππ at least someones having a real dig at racing a lot of different horses. I cheer them on more than Allstars these days I remember 4 of us doing 25 horses daily , and racing 15 per week for a good long time , into years even. 5 raced on Wed, 5 on Fri, 5 on Sat metro, 5 on the truck Sunday to the workouts/education, 5 young ones or work ups at home. and we did it easily. couldn't imagine just having only one starter per week like those NZ blokes ? Definitely Not a sustainable Business model as you said .

wow that is amazing , sounds like you have to be Really careful if it's linked to horse deaths. How strong can you get . wow. they're trying lots of things (along with their mate Grima) I've commented many times on here about Loyalist and Betterzippit performances after coming from NZ. and countless others too. Handy Nz horse 'Fire Fox' is an interesting one . another Boots purchase. First trained with Grimson and now a burst for Grima . A 1.49 speed demon in February and then doesn't' back up after so has spaced runs now. will be interesting to see what he does Saturday. Classy Operator obviously enjoying his potions at the moment for young Grima. wonder how long now till it burns out like Loyalist. They (the Grimson machine) couldn't get 'Hot and Treacherous' performing well at all which is surprising, possibly pulls to hard working against it. Hi MynameisJeff is back in action and looks ok (over short trips). Frankie Ferocious from QLD is probably Eureka favourite for the Big bucks in the Slot race. don't think they let kiwi bred horse in it .Bit racist ? lol. It seems there is lags in their methods working with horses at times, and some never come back to the firing on all cylinders again. Nort surprised they have found a trace of something with Trainor's . they have tried hard to solve the mystery for quite some time now ( think they needed Chief to send INCA over here ππ) could have sorted it out a bit better? lol
-
the Machine is back in action this week. The Grimson machine that is. (as well as the express) AARDIE's Express now training in his name instead of Jack Trainors for her first 2 Aussie runs for impressive wins. move over stable-mates 'Bubbles' and 'TayTay ' this week. will be No win for them. Was going to ask Mr Galah (or other if interested ) what he thought of the Mares situation at Menangle. Grimson and Trainor are virtually 'team training and driving so they have to work out a plan to suit their owners. NZ owned 'BRAEview Kelly ' has been at Trainors 2 years and won a group 1 last season , and can still run a 1.50 mile. BUT has not won in 7 runs this year for a poultry $24k because Trainor keeps bringing in new blood , Manhattan from Nz Winning her first 2 mares races (before in turn now being flogged by the Express ? , and now Aardies Express , who is a machine. so Braeview Kelly just reduced to running places to them all the time now π€ ?. I'llhaveaBubbles ( Nz ownedtransferred from QLD) and Tay Tay (transferred from Victoria , both to Grimsons so are next in line for the 'Express flogging' at Grimson's π. starting this weekend So wouldn't you be annoyed with these stables doing that to your mares ? Supposedly trying to get you some wins , and bringing in the bigger Names to beat you ? I'd be REALLY Pissed off if had Braeview Kelly getting ripped up by stable-mates? while still pacing 1.50 miles ? and now good Nz mare Manhattan the same fate ? / would just send her / them to good Queensland Trainer for the G1 Golden Girl coming up soon if mine, or something like that. Should they transfer her (Braeview Kelly) somewhere else ? probably cost 24k in training this year so they've made total of NOTHING with a 1.50 able horse. terrible IMO.

Who wouldβve thought? Michael House half the field!
Gammalite replied to Brodie's topic in Trotting Chat
Poor judge . Thought the 'Choc's' was a certainty and would of lost the house on that one. π speaking of House's lol. Very well done to trainer Regan Todd and driver Ferguson put in a beauty to win the Sapling Stakes with 'Marketplace'. mowed down the 'chocolate one' no worries at all. π As for the 'House' team they did get a Trifecta in race 5 afterall. At the wrong end . the Last 3 home in the race π. But also the race winner too along with that tail end trifecta. so think they'll be happy with that. Dunn's may have missed the Sapling stakes Trifecta , but were back in business with the TRIFECTA in the 3 yearold race in Race 8. only paid $31 though. But aren't those 3 horses going like good things at the moment ? ' Harrison John-Miki'sCourage-Hadron Collider' all going great guns lately. -

well done to the Galah too.ππ very well spotted and encouraged by your good self and a few punters too , on to Victory !π° -
Trotters are hard to drive. They do things dipsy doddling sometimes. group 1 stars SundeeS and MuscleM even do/did at times. 'sunny's sister' looks very hard to drive but is a Derby/Oaks winner still. keeps John on the ball anywayπ I didn't comment on the Drive by Burley as the lads did that here already on Bolt. trotters are tough to win with. too easy to pick on errors. Example 1: Take a look at Luke McCarthy tonight. One of Australia's greatest horsemen. Getting his team ready for the Big carnival in Brisbane shortly is here early. Had 3 winners tonight and a fast finishing 2nd placing by NZer CantFindABettorman (what a beaut horse it is π) but LEAP To FAME to strong fresh up in 1.51 in the rain, parked out too, lol. just keeps winning Luke had the $1.50 favourite in the trot and it galloped for no reason when looming up to leader. .Constantinople had won 5 from 9 this year too. Lot of cranky punters afterwards lol . Just can't trust trotters. they had a junior drivers race for trotters earlier in night at Cambridge. A recipe for disaster, but they all did fairly well in the end. Burley looked 'uncomfortable' at times driving the TEAZ trotter ,and didn't get close at all finish 7th. they aren't the easiest to drive at times. Example 2 : Look at Jasinova . 3rd this week to Sacred mountain. trained by respected trotter trainer dr Chin. But on Rowe Cup night it galloped on the good Dr at the start in a support race , and galloped for 2 laps just behind the field . I thought that was quite funny for some reason. At her 114th start. π€£π. can't see how it's ever smart to bet on trotters π. better leave the Ashburton maiden no 1 today then lol. too risky ? Burley owns that trotter (bolt for the hills) herself it seems, otherwise the experienced Josh would possibly be driving it for his trainer dad. He won the race following on the night for Telfers, so was avaliable .

Who wouldβve thought? Michael House half the field!
Gammalite replied to Brodie's topic in Trotting Chat
Oh well . Just wait until the following race . John and Robert Dunn have half the field and are sure to go very very close to running the Trifecta in the time honoured Sapling Stakes. the Purdon horse the only spoiler to his trifecta hopes it would seem. The 'chocolate' horse looks a real beautie. he'll get the choc's for sure. -
Common-sense prevails! Kah charges dropped.
Gammalite replied to Chief Stipe's topic in Galloping Chat
Best of Luck with the bet π°. Moods has the Derby favourite the filly Autumn Angel in it as well . so has put Jamie on the second stringer here, so a good tester ? π Jamie Kah got beat on her last start (up in QLD by the No.1 horse in the Derby today) so looks like Moods has plonked Zahra back on who won on her at Flemington and Randwick . She (Autumn Angel) looks terribly hard to beat drawn the pole as well , so a nice trailing draw over 2400m. What do you think of First Innings Chief (or Newmarket or anyone) ? was it any good in NZ.? NZer Forsman has it here in the Derby race 8 as well. and it seemed to stick on well first up caught wide . seems a show ? Big tip for Warmonger today too , going round. -
Common-sense prevails! Kah charges dropped.
Gammalite replied to Chief Stipe's topic in Galloping Chat
Jamie had em all struggling in the $1,000,000 Sires Produce Stakes just now. You want the best jockeys on in these feature races, and even though it drew the widest and had to go to the back, she balanced him up and stormed home to win !!! well done Broadsiding. Cool as a cucumber is young Jamie. (and a nice anchor for all my multi's lol) another 10/10 rated ride as usual. The Natalie Rass of the galloping world !!ππ°π -
Much easier to drive a losing horse than it is to drive a winner. I think credit should go to the winning Ones to make you feel better π. (all of us watching or driving or punting that is ) tis the reason for mentioning it. Otherwise everyone just thinks these poor Juniors are 'poor' and 'agrieving' all the time as they learn their stuff. (how to drive a race better) Just like any apprentice, in any trade, to give encouragement and learn from the error's as they gain needed experience. The average driver (of any age) wins one in only 6-10 drives based on number of starters they compete against. therefore it easy to single out any one of the misses that they have. Blair Orange even gets beat plenty of times with some poorish drives (JMO) I'm just saying it's good to support the wins too. Drivers in NZ don't get many (wins) compared to here in Oz, as don't go around enough times to develop their skill level adequately. So we all see plenty of losing drives so no point getting too 'aggrieved' about it. It'll just make you angry with the game all the time. Bit of a Jackpot strike at the harness forums for this most of the time too ππ it's like a reverse punters club lol π€£
-
Don't mention the young lass won Race 7 though as you sink the boot in for a losing drive on a bloody trotter late on. The 3 Junior driver girls ran the Trifecta too (500+ bucks if you're game ) the 3 senior drivers were the last 3 home in the race. wonder what happened to them? . Asleep probably? letting the Junior lasses smack em like that π Great drive Stephanie Burley with a 10/10 drive to win on Sharkies Girl. Very good driving by Emily and Monika too. showing the old boys how to do it properly π The commentator was hilarious as was calling Matty White's drive like he was gunna win as they turned for home, but only ran 7th π€£ 'Here she come's " he said . got that way wrong.
