You guys are barking up the wrong tree'. Every nearly every race a horse in the field is held up by other runners at some stage. Harness or gallops. they race in close proximity guys. When they fan out you hope for a run at them if you're going well. This horse is a 2 start maiden in this article ??? you seriously think the stewards should be worried about the driver getting blocked in and make a hoo-ha about it . can't see the sense in that. I used to get hemmed in behind the leader on occasion . when we had running rails. You can't go grizzling about when you think drivers should pull out and go round a runner. Well I spose we can grizzle on a forum , but the stewards aren't going to tell drivers when to go , and how to drive. If the bloke decided to stay in . his decision. you can't punish him for it. Got beat a neck and 1/2 neck .went pretty close so what's the problem. yeah maybe could of won . maybe not. (if driven differently ) They can't all win in the same race. I would say no-one lost confidence on that runner. wrong tree' barking 😎 Where they Lose Confidence (the Punters that is ) is your stupid galloping runners from stupid dated standing starts. Now that puts a LOT of Punters off. and is something the stewards DO Need to deal with as well. Who wants to see their investment galloping out the back? . ALL to Common in Nz harness = not many investing on those races from the real loss of confidence in harness racing that exists.

Common-sense prevails! Kah charges dropped.

Think OP can whack em' a bit harder Chief ?. he puts in some good aggressive rides. certainly knows what he's doing ok. Jamie is super impressive in what she gets out of a horse. I'd rate her in the same boat as Natalie Rasmussen in the NZ harness racing ( at getting the job done with great hands ) . Of course things can go wrong at times. Natalie last week had 3 drives for the night in the three Group races at Auckland , on 3 x second favourites. And ran 2nd last with all 3 of them . 😂 I laughed my tits off as haven't seen her caught out like that before. A great hattrick. I wondered if the career was collapsing ? but of course bounced back this week winning the Group 1 Sires Stakes Final at Addington. Can't keep these great horsewomen down for long. A quick break now and then to powder the nose and look beautiful and then it's back to the winners circle. -
The Anti-Te Akau Thread aka the Anti-Syndicators Thread.

With good jockeys like Celine G , one of my favs, who always gives them all a good go at it, are on and getting some weight claim relief you can pick up wins with SAVOIR FAIRE too. at Caulfield now Chief. Hope you keeping your eyes on the Cranbourne Te Akau lot. those boys (and girls) are preparing winners every week now. Better than backing Gai these days. 😅 SAVOIR FAIRE paid $23 too. Time to do a Fashion Shoot now with some of the winnings 😂💰👍 -
That would be boring . stick to your guns Chief. Tis great you are a big Te Akau supporter. They are going great guns anyway. (well it could quieten down with Imperatriz retired now I spose) Tell ya what though , there's a good sneaky chance at Morphettville in the 6th at 20-1 they've sent over there. A Fillies and Mares OPEN and she (the Topweight) is well weighted really against this lot . Space> and has a few panels on some of those locals. Maher stable is on fire lately as well, so 'ExtraTwo' looks hard to beat. one more and we have the Trifecta 😂 💰

Love those 2 mile races. NZ harness at it's best. 5 horses ahead of the BOAY champ Mo'unga at the finish unfortunately. The 3 Dunns and 2 Telfers. The big stables strike gold again. Pretty hard to beat that fantastic team driving. Thought Dalton had that too, but beautiful drive John Dunn (yet again smooth as James Bond ) with his well timed run . The 'Diamonds' are Forever !!! 😅

Com'on Chief . Those syndicate horses have no control over how the money is spent either. My friend raced a Flemington winner (one of those Dalziel syndicates) but was constantly tearing his hair out about what races it was nominated for, who rode it, how they rode it , etc etc. all the usual stuff. you have no control over how your money is spent. Get a trotter and own it outright . Place it where you like , pick the trainer /driver and have a good time !!😆🏆👍 , even race in Oz 🇦🇺💰
-
Mo'unga has his big championship soon. Only $3.00 to win in big field. BOAY's favourite horse might carry the day still though. best of luck to him. The Dunn TRIO will try and pull some sort of swiftie (hopefully 😎) makes for some great racing !!! Hey what about HEISENBERG tonight in race 4? An Open Class horse who's had near 100 Addington runs against a field of Wannabe's ?? I couldn't work out the handicapping for that. some real loose class ones in that. Quite happy to take the 6-1 on offer though 😁💰. he normally raced Way way better horses than those tonight.

Tonight's three year old Group 1 @ Addington. How will it unfold?
Gammalite replied to Walt's topic in Trotting Chat
Well said Walt . A Purdon FIRST 4 one way or another lol. 😁 you're on the money like Brodster. Great drive by Natalie. She stopped Williamson getting up outside her on the last bend and used her stable-mate in front of her to incredible advantage as well. Cold Chisel had every chance to beat them trailing. he did work a bit early with the Dunn's firing out early as you predicted. Great race for the Allstars with winning the 3 yearold Sires Stakes 9 or 10 times in a row now. Merlin stopped the NZ Derby Winning sequence last year , but that winner tonight (Chase A Dream) looks the Derby colt alright. thought that last year with DSD too lol. 😆. (2nd) -
Yes there is a lot of 'quiet' drives by the young fella. You have to remember Dickie is probably driving to 'Instruction' a lot of the time (like gallops trainers do with their jocks) , as Joshua not training them himself, so a plan is 'probably' made to suit him and the other stable runners working to each others benefit , as often happens with multiple Telfer runners in a race. You can beat the BIG stables in feature races if you drive aggressively enough. Very Impressed last week with old mate David Butcher winning the Group 1 Cardigan Bay 2 year old with Cyclone Jordy (for a trainer I've never even heard of) , by getting him right in the picture and defying the current Barry Purdon/ Dean Shannon onslaught of winners. good on em ! Nathan Williamson has a chance tonight to stamp a BIG name for himself if he takes out the features by getting involved with DREAMS ARE FREE in the Sires Stakes G1 Final and CAPTAINS MISTRESS in the G2 70k 2yearold Fillies Bracelet feature race. Nathan reminds me of Josh driving a lot of the time , so lets hope he cuts loose tonight at Addington and wins at least one of those 2 races with some 'enterprising' driving 😁🏆💰

Well it won easy enough. Court has had horses backed like that before. a plunge stable at times. Starting unruly was in it's favour. as got left on it's own 20m behind the field at the start with no horses close to him to stir him up or unsettle him. and smaller field too. Easy trip around to the lead after 1/2 lap. the stars aligned for that one. Betting on a low class Horse from a Standing Start. No thanks . Let Ranga and NowOrNever get all the money on that one I think. ALLSTARS double team stars in the 2 year old race R4 look a better bet at getting the choc's ??. Oh shite no>> looks like Johnny Dunn 'Got the chocolates' in that one instead 🙄 . One should of gone with Brodster's tip it seems afterall? 😉😂. always on the money💰

Well you could add on a couple of 00's to that now, at least, to her value. Picked up $70k in her 2 WA starts already. As for 'AARDIE's Express' she picked up $136k in her 2 races so far at Menangle. and running blistering 1.48.9 mile too. She could be worth anything ?. wonder what the Aardie stands for ? that they name them?. They're aardiely giving anything else a look in at the moment anyway 😁.
-
She Can Do it . And do it impressively. What a performance last night !! Rocketing home from the back of the field turning for home in a Group 1 $200,000 Queen Liz mile breaking the 1.50 barrier too. Simply stunning , running down near the best mare in Australia in 'Ladies In Red' of Emma Stewarts. (Ladies in Red has won 25 races , 6 x 2nds from 32 starts and won a $million) So how good is this NZ EXPRESS Train ? super good !!! kiwi lad Jack Trainor the new trainer/driver here for her , and boy is she gunna win some. Could beat Leap To Fame going like that. (Post note: Mike Tanev other expensive purchase NZ horse 'AARDIEByTheSeaside' also won very easily in Perth on Friday night at her 2nd start there to go 2 for 2 in WA ) I think Team NZ Telfer should 'take a bow' and whoever prepared those 2 x 'Aardie" mares in NZ is extremely gifted and should get a HEAP of Credit. (and a few more horses to prepare) It's a shame Canadian millionaire Tanev bought them from NZ connections ( they miss out on the fun and glory for a few bucks) with his endless budget and removed them from NZ , but those the breaks 🙄

Especially True 👍 , when you're backing them at the harness racing 😎

Just Believe in Cruise control. I can't believe he treated the defending National trot champion (2nd) and Dominion winner (3rd) with ease really. quite astounding the level that horse is at now. No wonder he's won the last 2 Interdominion series (with clean sweeps) when can sit outside muscle Mountain like that. He's got a spring in the step now. Maybe a solid Auckland Cup chance ? The Queenslander got lost again. Adam Sanderson a pretty ordinary driver here in QLD. probably only about 20th ranked in my opinion in Queensland , let alone nationally. Where-as Greg Sugars is probably 2nd best driver in the whole nation (after Cam Hart) and is getting good results year to year with Just Believe and Better Eclipse. old NNNzzer 'Triple Eight' had a big career in NZ before joining him. He tries hard and is a bit like Mach Shard really. just needs the right tempo and late work into it.. Greg has won 3 out of 11 starts with Triple Eight this year for $60k so not too bad. Better Eclipse only has the one win this year for $60k from 5 starts himself. he did get about $100k 2nd to Leap To Fame in the Interdom in Dec so not too shabby. It's super tough in that FFA grade anytime .

Crystal does the job. A perfect drive from the young lady for another Group 1. Better Eclipse and Self Assured towed up by Crystal but she fought them off. Great job Mach Shard 🏆. paid over $20 on the 3 Aussie totes. Wonder if get more respect in the Auckland Cup now ? as for Nat, she was death DSD seating from the 2nd row 😎. young Crystal getting the job done better than the old girl these days ? 👍😆😉 Funny how not many wait for Mark to take off anymore with backmarkers. He's running 2nd a lot of times lately.

About to go lads . the 2024 edition. An Aussie Trifecta ? who's going Nat from Greg and Adam (just Gamma ?😁) Merlin owned by the Big Aussie man. maybe claim him too for the First 4 . Race should be traditional and just for 4 year olds afterall. Merlin and DSD and the ' Jolie 'one are the 4 year olds . So it would be justice if they ran the Trifecta 💰💰💰🏆.

The Anti-Te Akau Thread aka the Anti-Syndicators Thread.
Gammalite replied to Chief Stipe's topic in Galloping Chat
Thanks for that TABman. some great info. Don't some of these jumpers (and thoroughbreds) have interesting histories? . They are amazing animals and jetsetters too a lot of them. I thought i'd seen FORTUNA before somewhere. Melody Belle got me a huge prize one day winning the Empire Rose on Derby Day as plucked a Big6 so am quite fond of her lol. 😁. She was back 4th last turning in amidst the big field of mares , on a soggy Flemington , but joined in like a machine and powered away. I still get goose bumps with that win by her. 🏇🏆 -
The Anti-Te Akau Thread aka the Anti-Syndicators Thread.
Gammalite replied to Chief Stipe's topic in Galloping Chat
Well the Te Akau 'LEADERBOARD syndicate' is quite happy anyway. If you can't win a flat race just stick em' over the fences. Te Akau can do the lot ?😁 today the Old Te Akau horse Leaderboard just won easily at Warrnambool over the hurdles at his 3rd Jumps attempt for Walker and Kuru. nice going at 8-1 odds 👍💰 Bolted away with it too. Te Akau can syndicate a few jumpers now ? excellent stuff. -
He had a Winter campaign in Brisbane last Winter. 11 starts for 1 win and 10 unplaced runs. Because the FFA class in Brisbane is quite strong really. they really rattle along fast. can't remember what he paid in that win but would of been BIG odds (beat a Grimson runner) old kiwi Auckland Cup winner is always hard to beat >>Turn It Up . one of the best here. His last start in Queensland Mach Shard was 5th to another old kiwi 'Hot and Treacherous' . who seems a fair sort of horse. Probably about same ability as Mach Shard I spose. going way back Mach Shard ran a Place in the Interdominion Grand Final at Auckland , so that is a great feat, so is a better horse going around right handed it seems ?
-
well done sticking with this horse. A good field defeated today , with Not just Dunns to beat like he had to do at the West Coast. He beat some Addington Allstars and Telfer handy runners too. So Mo'unga might turn in to an Addington horse himself? going great guns !👍
-
big odds here on the QLD TAB. wonder what he paid there? quite sensational to come from the back lie that and take the Win. a Best you can Get field too. Barry has the last laugh over Marks stable yet again 😁. Nat got hung out to dry 3 wide the last lap with Don'r Stop Dreaming. Kango having a real crack for glory but not quite up to it shoved her out there. He is turning into the ultimate 2nd Place getter !! Probably the first Group 1 win for Crystal Hackett . Congratulations young Lady !!! 🏆

they'll have a barbie togeather and just all get on with it. Accusations are nothing new. Proving with evidence is the hard bit. no one tells the real story lol . NZ is Fantasy Island isn't it ? where dreams come true .

What a pleasant surprise to see a BIG races go to a good horseman who never seems to get much credit. With Allstars, Big Bar, Dunns and Telfers winning a heap of the listed races with their BIG owners is nice to see a smaller stable do well. Matthew White been driving well and can obviously train well as well !!! well done young fella .🏆👍 PARAMOUNT KIWI trotting beautifully and Winning the 3 year old trotting Million just now. A good 1st prize for him I hope. Taylor Mile Up soon. Are you blokes on the 2 Aussies ? 😎. Let em' rip .!!! or sticking with the master Blaster young Mark drawn 2. ?

McGrath was a result?. and people are wasting $10 million on yearlings alone these these days 😁 and $55 million on track surfaces ? seems to have gone a bit haywire too. What price to force good honest racing ?
