  11. DAY 2 The BOAY Nelson Classic is ON . Brodie will be hard pressed to back up after Day 1 Champion. Mile racing getting him again ? πŸ˜†. A couple of Number 2 Runners are scratched later in the day so The GALAH is substituting onto the JOHN DUNN runners today . (2 of which are number 2 in the early races anyway) SO the 10 teams will run with same Runners as Friday . (with the one Galah change and almost certain win for him with Sunny's Sister too ) Can Blackie take advantage of the Pole over a mile ? or just be back pole-dancing once again πŸ˜‚ Will the Post arrive for Ranga ? with the 'Postman' or just junk mail be delivered ? 😎 Will Chief improve enough from 2nd place Friday to take his maiden Win ? doubting Thomass'es would say no πŸ˜† Results here later On . Enjoy your Nelson Classic Day !!!!!!
  12. Hey Forb's .I was checking the field s for today at Nelson and see your Old Mate Ben HOPE has drawn 3 alley in 4 of the last 5 races today. We know your fan of him πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‰. So I might score the matches later on with the sames Teams as the first Day . You had the 3 alley all day long and over the mile , you could unseat the Brodster who won the first day .
  13. very fond of Ellerslie. Saw the great man Kenny Browne MBE win a few and was amazed at his Will to win. I guess the famous hill is gone now ? that Kenny sent many of his jumpers over . a few more important houses I imagine . taking some prime real estate. Was just watching the Hall of Fame legend here , check it out for some truly Inspiring stuff . One of NZ's greatest ever. brings a tear to your eye in the end.
  14. The beautiful Course is back in the swing of things today. Te Akau looking to get a few wins on the fast surface by the look of it. Why didn't Avondale race more while the track was renovated at Ellerslie ? It seems Pukekohe took up a lot of the slack past year and had a few good meetings. Good horse country around there anyway .
  15. Sky 1 and 2 both skipped the Nelson Cup with other commitments. All the other Nelson races were broadcast Friday thankfully. I found out the reason later , that a horse got stuck under the mobile barrier in race 6 Albion Park, at exactly the time the Nelson Cup was spose to run, for a few minutes and delayed everything with that race already delayed with a false start previous. so they canned the Nelson Cup to show it (Albion) at it's 3rd attempt . Thanks Mikey . yes I just have SKY One and Two on Sportsbet. And can watch the harness replays ok, once they load onto the HRNZ site anyway if I miss them live. those HRNZ blokes are pretty efficient and the result and video, are nearly always there before the next race even. I've never ever seen 'trackside' but will ave a look around and see if can find it (the broadcast) today for Nelson and Ellerslie on the net,,,,
  16. A tough ask is some of those mile races . a short race distance for these horses. The key is (for all to have a chance) is to limit the starter number to 10 . And the front line to 6 or 7 off the barrier. So any of those can have a crack for the lead. The last race on Sunday tomorrow at Nelson , the Champion mare ADORE ME's foal has drawn 13 in a 'Oversized' Mile field . virtually no chance barring a miracle . Field size is too many. even handy stable-mate 'Wallflower ' another first day winner for Carter, not much chance drawn 9 in the same race. He's out so wide he'll be covering more ground than the early explorer's πŸ˜†. Looks like Brodie is right and the Punters might as well leave that lot alone , and go to the gallops (sadly) πŸ˜ͺ
  17. the last race. Rock Band the winner. Jonny drove through the field early from outside 2nd row barrier draw, and led them a Merry Dance thereafter. very nice driving. win's again Sunday ? 1st 13 ROCK BAND JONNY W COX BL 3.40 1.90 2nd 6 SOCIAL DISTANCING ROBBIE CLOSE FT 4.80 3rd 11 ABSOLUTE DYNAMITE JOHN DUNN BL 2.20 4th 1 SOVIET STAR SARAH O'REILLY FT
  18. And the Final race Hits the line at Nelson . Brodie the Winner of the BOAY Nelson Cup πŸ† , always supporting young Carter and Sam. Chief getting another Jonny Cox winner ? . Rock on Chief !! with Rock Band getting the 8 pts. Mikey and Blackie grabbed a late 2 each from the pole marker . Chiefy mate is up for 2nd place as 'Rank outsider' of the BOAY field of experts (as per normal ? πŸ˜† πŸ˜‰) FINAL SCORES BRODIE 48 (congrats Brodster πŸ†πŸΎπŸ») CHIEF 34, Blackie 32, Galah 30, Forb's 26, Gamma 24, Ranga 18, Newmarket 18, Mikey 14, Walt 10 bit of a rough Trifecta ? πŸ˜‚ someone somewhere might of got it . Stewart Island ?? πŸ˜†πŸ˜Ž
  19. Points after Race 10 Just one to go The Brodster 48 points the Galah + Blackie 30 points Forb's 26 points, Chief 26 pts, Gamma 24 points , Rangatira and Newmarket 18 pts, Mikey 12 pts, Walt 10 pts
  20. No stopping Brodie Today . or any day actually πŸ˜†πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‰ always a legend . and easy winner of the BOAY Nelson Cup . Out-pointing the battling opponents easy as Fav. Carter might of knocked off for the day , but the BRODSTER a true fighter to the end >>>> brings in his 2nd String hero Sam Thornley to donkey lick them in the 10th race. Blackie in for 2nd money there and 6 points. Chiefy gets 2. 1st 8 CHRIS KYLE SAM THORNLEY FT 21.30 5.40 2nd 1 COUNTRY GOLD JOHN DUNN FT 1.90 3rd 7 ARNOLD LAYNE ROBBIE CLOSE FT 10.70 4th 6 FOURTH AMENDMENT SHEREE TOMLINSON FT
  21. Newmarket gets the Nelson Cup points . Tim Williams winning with Alta Meteor. The Galah and Gamma on the Bob Butt driven No.2 horse into 2nd place. Blackie with 2 points for 4th and Walt with 4 for Gavin Smith in 3rd . 2 Races to go . Good lead to the Brodster still !! Points after Race 9 The Brodster 40 points the Galah 30 points Forb's 26 points, Gamma and Chief and Blackie 24 points , Rangatira and Newmarket 18 pts, Mikey 12 pts, Walt 10 pts
  22. Was looking forward to that race All day then they didn't broadcast it. that was annoying .. The 3 x Dunn horses all in behind a Telfer favourite. . yes they're hard to beat alright. some of the HOPE horses have competed well at this sort of level at times too.
  23. Here we go . A result came up. 9 ALTA METEOR TIM WILLIAMS 20 - - 2.00 1.50 2nd 2 DOUBLE TIME BOB BUTT FT - 3.90 3rd 6 HEISENBERG GAVIN SMITH 10 - 4.20 4th 1 DALTON SHARD JOHN DUNN FT
  24. I give up. the sky racing NOT even putting the Nelson Cup on. went to the yearling sales blokes talking instead. so No idea what is happening in Nelson now πŸ˜ͺ
  25. SUNNY's SISTER after 2 x Group 1's her last 2 starts finds the Nelson company a bit easy. $2.40 ?? for a certainty. guess it could of galloped away like a few of the others. Blackie and Rangatira both get the BONUS 2 pts , running 2nd with the Pole drawn 'Idle Stuartia' horse . 8 points scored for them . Chief arrived 3rd with Zsa Zoe (Shree) gets a 4 pointer. Next up is the NELSON Cup Handicap . Can Carter get 4 wins today ? maybe.... Points after Race 8 The Brodster 40 points Forb's 26 points, Galah and Chief 24 points Blackie 22 pts , Rangatira and Gamma 18 pts, Mikey 12 pts Newmarket 10 pts , Walt 6pts
