  1. The Galah has the 'easy ride ' there with Marky Boy a sweet trail behind the stablemate Never Ever gunna lose that one.' 'We Walk By Faith' 'with the best in the country . Blackie 'held up on fence' in a 7 horse field had his Free Dreams of Victory dashed completely early on 😪 , but staggers into 3rd. for 4 points The WOLF with another 6 points on the 'Hottie' 2nd in the 2 year old colts Group 1. He Gets a handy lead now . POINTS After Race 3 The WOLF 20 points, Brodie 14 pts, The Galah 8 pts, Chief and Blackie 6 pts, The Horseman 4 pts, NoworNever 2pts. 1st 4 WE WALK BY FAITH (AUS) MARK PURDON FT - - 1.80 1.20 2nd 5 MAJOR HOT BLAIR ORANGE FT - 2.40 3rd 2 DREAMS ARE FREE NATHAN WILLIAMSON FT 4th 3 RAGAZZO MAJOR CARTER DALGETY FT
  2. Race 2 the 2 year old trot and Brodie puts the Hammer down by 6 lengths . !! The WOLF was looking for the running double , but his Merc ran out of petrol and Brodster sailed on by to take out the first Group 1 of the Day for Diamond racing. Brodie and the WOLF giving the field the slip so far ?? Chief muscled his way into 3rd place there. POINTS After Race 2 The WOLF and The Brodster both 14 points, Chief 6 points, The Horseman 4 points, and Blackie makes it on to the board 2 points. 1st 6 TYRON EROS JOHN DUNN FT - - 5.20 1.80 2nd 5 THE MERC BRAD WILLIAMSON FT - 3.90 3rd 1 BRING ON THE MUSCLE BRENT BARCLAY FT - 1.30 4th 2 TIME FOR VICTORY RICKY MAY FT
  3. Race 1 and it's The WOLF taking the early lead . Not with 'Lone Wolf' either . But with the Carter Dalgety horse 'Fernetti' .. I bet the Brodster wanted that one !! (with Carter driving) but has to settle for the 6 points for 2nd place instead. Sam Ottley looked home too. just pipped POINTS After Race 1 The WOLF 8 points, The Brodster 6 points, The Horseman 4 points, Chief 2 points. 1st 5 FERNETTI CARTER DALGETY FT - - 1.60 1.10 2nd 6 MAJOR TORQUE SAMANTHA OTTLEY FT - 2.60 3rd 10 LONE WOLF SARAH O'REILLY BL - 3.30 4th 1 TEMPO WARRIOR GEMMA THORNLEY FT
  4. Anyone wanting to comment about the racing today would be great !!! jump on in with Tips or any thoughts on the great racing action. I think Chief has a good hand in the first with the Shephards Delight poking through from the 2nd row. Blackie could get a flyer from the 'good draw ' too with Commander Ben ? will pop Points up-date here after each race . Have a great day !

  6. The above Heat went to NERANO and Grimson/Hart so they have 2 horses in the Grand Final next week . Young ex-pat kiwi Jack Trainor will drive Nerano in the GF. him being part of the Grimson machine and all . Kiwi horse Hot and Treacherous missed out getting in the Final . that heat above was just too hard. Making the Trotting Final were old North Island horses Funny Face and Mufasa Metro. They look to have No Chance against Defending Interdominion Trot Champion Just Believe , who crushed them in last nights final round of heats . The Queen won her heat well though. Queen Elida owned in New Zealand is a definite chance for old kiwi trainer Brent Lilley Grand Finalists >>>>>>>>>> INTER DOMINION GRAND FINAL FIELDS PACING FINAL (not in barrier order): Leap To Fame, Nerano, Better Eclipse, Swayzee, Classie Washington, Pete Said So, Spirit Of St Louis, Speak The Truth, Future Assured, Kanena Provlima, Turn It Up, Our Money Rocks. 7. Queenslander is in Chch town to show some fine winning style mate. Nz Trotting Derby for Not As Promised sounds a great !! after ya were Getting a bit 'run over' after the Rugby and Cricket world Cups and Swayzzzzeee doing his Nz Cup trick over Akuta. (lucky Imperatriz showing some fight to keep your country afloat 😂 😉 ) Some good news though , mighty Queenslander 'Leap To Fame' very likely to smack up old Swayzee next week in the Interdominion Grand Final to gather some retribution for Swayzee dishing it up to New Zealand . 😎
  8. well that would definitely make you have the opinion you have . Past experiences are always at the fore-front of opinion. In the end you are possibly right. A treatment schedule could be spread around more than one runner and place them under duress , if too strong, in correct dosage , etc. We have seen in recent times Alford there using very strong injection so his 'welfare' concerns must of been zero and thankfully he was outed. I am lucky have never seen a horse damaged from treatments personally in NZ and/or Australia. Many horses have issues that you need to treat aggressively on occasion (e.g Tendons) and you have a lot of USA info that shows PED's are in fact causing deaths. fair enough. Alford / Jones does show that there are dubious goings -on occurring still I'm still gunna go with Bad Luck ... with Amore Vita . as Heart attack can happen anytime . I worked with a millionaire at Samford once. He dropped clean dead off his bicycle one weekend . age 60. just regular bloke , reasonable fitness. makes me nervous actually 🤔. Stewart Barn performance we were already discussing. I think their record over many years is 'proven' and same with Allstars in NZ. they look after their horses well and get great results year after year.
  9. and throw in Telfer's as well. You weren't happy with 3 horse deaths there at one stage. I think Allstars, Mc Carthy, EmmaStewart/Tonkin and even Hall's in West Australia have a bit of attrition as their stables are Full of the very best horses racing and they bend and strain to the absolute MAX limits these great horses , ... The horses are 'That Good' in these stables , they can be just set for races year after year , and are looked after like 'Kings' and 'Queens' all through the year (Like the King of Swing himself for example by some of the BEst Horsepeople on the Planet . Not just the trainers But their important excellent support Staff too ...... Amore Vita just a sad tragedy to of passed away like that 😪. very sad for everyone connected. She was going like a train too. (having defeated stablemate Encipher (the 2 $mill Eureka Winner ) a couple of times in feature races. I commented on her great runs here several times. Very sad won't see her go again 😢.
  10. The BOAY Derby Field is Assembled 👍. All the great horses , drivers and trainers at Addington are supported in the BOAY Derby Day raceday. A lot of fine stayers in the line-up. POINTS will be 8 points for 1st placings, 6 points for 2nds, 4 points for 3rds and 2 points for 4ths ...The winner after race 10 will have the highest point total. Chief from the Pole draw will be just getting in everyone's way 😄 😅 but pull out your whip and your earplugs Chief and hang in there mate. (you might win the first race from the 2nd row to get a good start anyway with Blair 💰 ) .
  11. Oy yeah Sunline too, from the great Takanini Training centre . won a Couple of Cox plates at MV . My favourite for years. A lovely front running mare. suited to the Valley like No other. Then a Trotting Trainer came along and knocked her off in a couple more Cox Plates . Quite like that Chief ? Mr Kersley's horse breezing on by here. Looks a bit like Gammalite crossed with Popular Alm colours too !! how cool !🏆🏆👍
  12. Looks like you had your 'i' out for that one 😅. Best 2 keep 2 'i's in , for a Competition headline ya reckon ? 😁 but how's your chances going for victory?. How Short is Short ?? A Queensland trotter? beating Nairn's, Williamson's, Dunn's and/or Purdon at Addington ? 😅🤣 QLD has never even had a good trotter before . Surely you guys aren't going that bad after the rugby and cricket world Cups that a Queensland trotter can win at Addington against the best trotting trainers going. My word . things have slipped a bit there maybe? New Government not helping yet ? need Inca back ? 😁 Must be paying more than $2.40 over there Fixed surely ?? Race 8. Fav No 6 Madrid at $4.20 Race 9 equal Fav's No 4 + 6 At $2.20 Merlin and Don't Stop Dreaming . Race 10 Fav No 7 At $1.40 Old Oscar B the shortest of the day . Not a lot of 2's there Blackie ? . But 'Dreams Are Free' mate . Trying to Beat Marky Boy with that one in race 3 ? lol .. good luck with that 😎 adjustment : (Blackie odds now 20-1 to win the day)
  13. Did you guys see that the shocker that is Moonee Valley (with it's silly 170m straight) will be closed from 2025. And re-invented and rebuilt over 3 years or so, spending $150,000,000 .... with a New state of the Art Grandstand on the school side and heaps of Residential units Put in to fund it and a 350m straight I think it is.
  14. Com'on Chief . you better get your number in . or run last again ? 😁😉 so far we have these Runners in the BOAY Derby .( and some of their horses ) Number 1. Not taken yet. Number 2. Will be 2 more runners for each team .
  15. The Final round Saturday over 2680m should see Grimson through with Nerano and Swayzzzzee easy enough with both horses drawn one in their heats. The other 10 spots for his opponents still to be settled with LEAP TO FAME and BETTER ECLIPSE almost certainly through from the other 2 heats this week , along with PETE's SAID SO and Classy Washington and Manila Playboy also close to getting in. This Heat will decide the Fate of a few . very talented local 'Speak The Truth' needs to place , as does 'Our Money Rocks'............ and with the Former good New Zealand pacers 'Spirit of St Louis' and 'Hot and Treacherous' also on the CUSP of Grand Final Selection . 16. not just the Sires stakes last month either. a lot of the good ones had to be at best a month prior to that too .. 17. N.B The Number 9 will be bracketed with number 10 throughout the day. This makes up for the 2 races that are already without a number 9 on the program ...and No.9 Rachmaninov looks to be no chance in the New Zealand Trotting FFA group 1 race at the end of the day. So the person riding with the 'Bracket' will now have the great ghostly grey Trotter in SMOKIN BANDAR in the last race as well now , and be a great chance of getting in the money.
  18. First in Gammalite with BARRIER 8. so can get the Aussie 3yearold NOT AS PROMISED hopefully trotting to victory in race 7 the New Zealand Trotting Derby. So there are still 8 spots available. here are some examples of your number selection If you pick Number 1 ... you get Dominion placegetter Resolve and Oaks winner Sunny's Sister Number 2 would get up and comer 'Dreams Are Free' Number 3 would get Empire City the fav in the 2 year-old trot Number 4 would get Merlin in the Derby and We Walk With Faith too. 20. The second night Trotters section of heats produced 2 more Victoria quinellas. The 'Queen' trained by ex-pat kiwi Brent Lilley and still owned by a host of Nz owners was once again nailed right on the line , this time by Lang's OLLIVICI . and the 2nd Trotters heat saw the defending Champion (who clean swept heats and Final last December) in the great JUST BELIEVE , for Tubbs and Sugars , stride to Victory after sitting parked out, over fellow Vic's in Plymouth Chubb and Mafusa Metro. A real disappointment was former Interdominion winner in MAORI LAW , for ex-pat kiwis Richard Brosnan and with Anthony Butt steering ( in what appears to be his only drive this carnival) .. just a shadow of his former self from 2 years ago and finished down the track at 100-1 behind Ollivici.
  21. No . he started out down the border area (riverina) nsw-vic. then Grimson picked him up last Winter. doesn't seem to of ever had a 'plunge punt' on it like a lot of Grimson horses ?.. like they have with Hi MyNameIsJeff and several others. James Rattray had NERANO for 4 starts late last year and ran 1.50.7 winning a year ago. so am surprised Grimson hasn't won more with it based on that. that was just his 2nd win in the Interdominion heat , (with 8 placings) from 15 Grimson race starts. but going on what Grimson has achieved the Past 2 Interdominion Grand Finals , wouldn't put it past him to upset LEAP TO FAME .
  22. you're right. but it's just an interest. I don't bet on the cricket or footy either but follow it with gusto lol. Hope you're ready to win the Group 1 Comp day Sunday at Addington ? you're good odds at 8-1 😋😉👍 Blackie is 10's and drifting 😎 Yes from a punting perspective the 5 Interdominion heats run tonight, even returned small Trifecta's as it panned out. they paid $41 , $27, $4.40 , $165 (quinella was just $3 in that one), and $17. so looks like the 14 out 15 of the most favoured runners ran the places !!!. Good true to form stuff. good honest trotting blokes ? great to see.
  23. And my mate wins. Grant giving a GRAND FINAL Preview with LEAP TO FAME. my 2nd favourite horse SPIRIT OF ST LOUIS roaring up the fence to only just be denied . The leader from NSW in the centre , Near 'shit itself' , as the 2 Champs came at him on either side and it just wanted to die , or run off , or anything to escape that menace 🤣🤣 they were 5 lengths of 4th though so a meritorious run . Go Spirit !!! Go Larry !!! FO Grimson !! lol.😁 old kiwi horse Betterzippit showing his 'Manawatu form' in that Heat..😉. (Larry is the common name of Leap to Fame)
  24. you're right mate. definitely bother. I think mentioning a champion of the past stuttered your cause a bit. Jim Pike had HUGE gambling problem back in the day. virtually forced out of the game in debt. as for William Pike. had a crack in the Eastern states and did ok. But can ride every race in the West and so he went home. Does tend to get back in the field a bit but riding the Bob and Sarah PETERS multi millionaire runners all the time , he is always Gunnna be on the fav , but as you know , You Can't Win All the time ... ( Fav's help you win some of the time though 😁🏆💰)
  25. He did and went nicely . TURN IT UP a true gutsy trier. here's His race Heat for Tuesday night over 2100m. From the Pole !! he'll go close . Grimson lurking out very wide with a runner there might be fueled up and give it to em lol... Fu''en Grimson . Cam Hart drives Narano to Win from the Outside Barrier no less. Total BS . what did that horse do in NZ ? winning nothing I spose ?? . Grimson has it beating 2 of the very best horses going around in Australia of course. what crap 😋 1st 7 NERANO CAMERON HART FT - - 4.90 1.80 2nd 11 BETTER ECLIPSE GREG SUGARS BL - 1.20 3rd 1 TURN IT UP SHANE GRAHAM FT - 1.30
