Speaking of Armalight and Gammalite and Carter D. ..............If combine the 3 and you get CARMELITE in the 6th race about to go. sounds a 'Good' one ππ»π°. 14-1 double with Akuta in the Cup . bring It On ππΎ
-
if he holds his nerve. he might be a show. π Did ya see Dance Till Dawn go for Carter in the 4th? . I've never seen a horse so far clear of the field like that turning in since Armalight days π. Absolutely donkey licked them by lengths.

Chase A Dreamπ» . home it goes with a Big finish in the third race . $9.00 some great odds.π° money for Jam after the fast finishing win last week. Well done Olivia ! Natalie couldn't of done it better if she was there. keep it going ......

Today we see young Carter Dalgety racing in the Junior Drivers Championship , and about to Show his class and Experience to take the Title. Brodie will be proud to see his nominated talent get the Title as must be a great chance . Tonight drawing Dance Till Dawn for the countries leading stable (Dunn's) and she has won 4 at Addington . Seems a living certainty you would think? π° $3.40 sportsbet Race 4. The second heat for Juniors Race 9... that sportsbet says is a pace, but is a mobile 'trot' by the look of it. Carter is on 2 'Love is Everywhere' if Carter can outdrive the 3 rivals on the 'HOPE' stable trotters he could win it at $11. I'm on a 40-1 double for a few bucks for him to do it....π The 'Hope' stable are gun trotter trainers though !!! . could even run the Trifecta ?? (so 3 'savers ' with them) Ben might help them drawn wide on the favourite for another stable lol π

I guess Imperatriz is still sound and everyone knows is a 'Chance' if did start in that Everest slot . so with the exposure about her racing schedule being often discussed and the Manikato the target, it is unlikely the bets would go on her in the Everest from anyone.... so no harm leaving her in the market until Final acceptances ?. The Nz trotting Cup is way worse . The double winner and current Nz Cup champion 'Copy That' has a knee injury and won't be starting. But is still in the Future markets .(sportsbet anyway) had the odds turned out to 9-1 (so they know something is amiss) to sucker punch a few dollars out of a few 'lucky customers' (well the opposite of this is the reality) who were thinking they were going to get a good price from the champ. and haven't heard about the horse not going to defend the Cup crown now, Just a poor money grab from them (bookies) ?. appalling really . I doubt they refund injuries horses. too hard to calculate the fraud that goes with that territory.

Really ???? Harness Drivers told not to be happy during pre-lims.
Gammalite replied to Rangatira's topic in Trotting Chat
I'm laughing. Never heard that brought up ever . seems like just another furball πΉ. Something to worry about , when there's nothing left to grizzle about as to why your horse lost. Someone should tell the complaintants the main reason the horse got beat they punted on was because every other runner on the track/ in the race was trying to Beat it to the Winning Post ..........and Not because a driver didn't have his/her 'race-face' on -
Well without Nat about, and 'Marky' and 'Blair' both having a night off suspended, Olivia Thornley currently on 50 career wins, gets to almost certainly go to 51 on the nice filly Millwood Nike. thursday night. Olivia won the Nz Oaks last season in December (so has a Group 1 driving win π) on the erratic filly (now retired) NO MATTER WAT. Olivia saying she was playing up in training recently, jumping out of gear and that, so they have given up on her. she was a bit of a headcase so surprised Mark didn't drive it himself instead of using the Junior driver during it's career. actually, Mark and Nat never drove that filly in a race !!! what an amazing stat π³. An Oaks winner not driven by either of them is pretty crazy. No Matter Wat driven by Olivia for 12 of her 13 starts (5 wins) and Tony Herlihy drove her in The Grins Race this year (unplaced).
-
Sort of agree with you . she has taken off home here to Queensland before for weeks at a time. Wasn't driving in September , so Nat is some time 'away' again now. Greg O'Connor and Mick seemed real 'close' to them on other broadcasts i've seen of their show , where they crossed to them at home and everything quite chummy. I'm sure they must know what is going on ? part of their job. they talk to a LOT of people. if just vacation you think they would be able to say that Straight off the Bat you would think. oversea's trips might take a few weeks though...
-
Yeah I think they mean business alright. Just interviewing the/a stable rep on todays coverage from Pakenham gallops and he said they are starting with 20 , but want to expand immeadiately to 60 to 80 horses to get established quickly and recognised every week. So will train for anyone interested and not just the 'usual' TA syndicates and TA stakeholders .
-
thanks for that . Yeah have just seen it was a suspension for whip use on his drives last Friday winning on Chase A Dream (getting warning) and then 2nd on Franco Indie ( you were warned Mark the steward said, a mug like you should be on the sidelines ,where did you learn to drive ? ). stewards know best as always . Just watched The BOX seat. what a great show that is π . Mick and Greg are totally respectful to everyone , and chatted with youngsters Nathan, Olivia, Carter D, Ben Hope, Zac B amongst others so the future looks great with these young stars. All of them were excellent speaking too ... No one mentioned Natalie though so something is going on ... hopefully just a minor injury or something like that maybe.

Thursday night Addington see's some more stars getting ready for their Big assignments next month. As the unbeaten Millwood Nike resumes she is to be driven by Olivia Thornley this week. wow !! best of luck Olivia and congrats on scoring the Big drive !!! Millwood Nike on the trail of the NZ oaks (Derby too ?) Where is Mark and Natalie ? Does anyone know ? seems wierd neither is driving ........ Blair Orange is suspended so misses out. Cox probably got dragged as has in the past, been beaten on so many Allstars runners, so that is no surprise. Excellent to see Olivia get a Big chance !! (although ironically NOT invited into the junior drivers championship Heats Thursday with her 2 siblings. and Sam Ottley and Zac Butcher with 2 x ALLSTARS drives each as well . good drivers in general so should be in the money ?
-
Here's 3 wins for you . All winning in Cup week next month . Do you have a spare glass and I'll come over and celebrate the 3 winners with you? . A case of cold duck might get us through the week. ( One bloke has shares in all 3 of these . What a legend !! ) lucky bugger.

It won the previous weekend as well Chief . 6 days after scratching from the Maryborough Cup with the bad drip incident. ACT NOW is actually a real top-liner horse . Won the Victoria Derby in his year (very prestigious like the galloping one) and was actually placed 3rd in the last Interdominion Grand Final after winning 2 heats last December. a very handy 20 wins and 9 seconds from 42 starts with over half those being high class 'Group' races too. might very well be a chance in the $1,000,000 Interdominion in Brisbane in December coming ?. I'll keep you 'drip fed' on his progress π

Jason Grimson wins appeal - brawl conviction quashed!
Gammalite replied to Chief Stipe's topic in Trotting Chat
Speaking of Mr Grimson , he might need a coffee boost today. Couple of very heavy supported runners last night at Menangle and neither won. Might be losing his touch ? Lightning Dan ran no-where in the first (although Bubba Scrub did get 2nd. and this Nz horse here too Double Down (who won at Addington last month. Backed like there was no tomorrow . Now stood down for 10 days . "CONDITION reported" lol........Trying too hard maybe ??? ππ 10 DOUBLE DOWN NZ F1 Jason Grimson $ 1.95 fav PRBT GO WI VXAR CR SDVC SD10D -
yeah maybe .. now that does sound like 3 great observations . Geez Bosson making it tough on himself , charging back to Nz rides straight after. You would think maybe risking being a little travel weary at Hastings yesterday . Did win a race on Financier , but missed out with the 'Tycoon ' . Think they could of just left Mickey Dee on at MV. large amount of money in his (Bosson) pocket for winning G1 in Victoria I spose.

Far as I could see the Thread was about Imperatriz winning the Moir . You were in the Negative and wanted to lay like a chook. Everyone else thought she could win . and she did. very convincingly. so take defeat humbley and move on to The Manikato ... Can she win ? or are you going for whole basket of eggs ? π π
-
Track Record tonight for Imperatriz . and very easy soft win . A bit like the $1.60 on Nz's Best Trotter in the country racing at Addington tonight. Muscle Mountain winning easily. money for jam. Akuta 2nd at Addington in the Group 2 would of been 'nice' . but can't have all the luck lol.... The $1.75 on All my multi's looks good cruising into a big Brissy Lions winning weekend . Bronco's would also add to the 'fun'. π»πΎ Hope in Your Heart would be a fantastic good result in the Epsom now. Watch for her flying home late on (to win I hope)
-
The Stewart barn clearly intending to Trifecta the time-honoured Kilmore Cup tonight. But had to settle 2nd , 3rd and 4th as BETTER ECLIPSE claimed victory. BETTER ECLIPSE being the horse that popped over there and ran 4th in the BIG $1,000,000 RACE by Grins. KANGO who ran 6th in the Grins race stopped and ran 100m last . The kiwi's aren't as sharp as they used to be . Hopefully come good at Interdominion time in December . AKUTA beaten at Addington too, seems a bit of a surprise. Maybe building fitness? . wins the Nz Cup anyway πππ°

no worries mate . I'll roll with 'potential champion' then. I always call someone who performs at the very top level of any sport ( that is Group 1's in racing) and then WINS a champion of their sport. If the All Blacks Win . they'll be 'World Champions' . A huge honour...something they've already been in the past . YEah I think they (AB's) can Win π. Give it a jolly good shake anyway ........π

Jason Grimson wins appeal - brawl conviction quashed!
Gammalite replied to Chief Stipe's topic in Trotting Chat
Doesn't appear that way. You've carried on several times wanting heads to roll (alleging cheap shots ad-nauseum blah blah) and criticise people's opinion of 'Just get over it and move on'. One used to say in these situations "Take it outside boys" (or girls) if having a loud fracas in public spots. a few drinks stoked up a bit of bravado . wow-wee. maybe if you're Not giving a rat's arse you are giving a dog's dick ? lol π. -
'Laying' should be left to the 'old hens'. No one should be wishing for Champions to get beat just because of shorts odds or whatever. Tonight in the MOIR I hope she rounds up the 2 Queenslanders just like last time ( in her last start at MV) and that is the trifecta . 1st, 2nd and 4th on that occasion. Giga Kick got in the 'road' , but he's out of the 'road' now. So Imperatriz is set for her BIG victory tonight all going well unless some bloody hen tries to cross the road π

My Tip today .(as named after a handsome Aussie π) But it is Still in the back straight !!! .π Stopped to a walk , refusing to go any further, π and pulled up in Race 3 at Gore today. Whatta absolute shocker . Total embarassment to harness racing. Never wanted to be part of the race at any Stage. Blair was flat out keeping it up to the mobile. He probably tied it up to the outside fence down the GORE back straight and walked back π.

What can they say ? 2 horses were given a drip feed the day before a race. Maybe they were only out by a few hours ? from the one day rule. Of course they treat their horses All the time . That's why they look good, feel good , race good . So All is good !! don't get so worried. The Te Akau mob had their good horse disqualified , but you still aren't going to 'Slam em in the Media ' as cheats when they turn out so many incredible horses. So That you would think is Far far more Serious ? yes? A Major stable with an error . How should the media handle that. ?? as a mistake , or a calculated error like you are accusing the Stewart Barn of doing ? Tokyo Tycoon became the 10th Matamata Slipper winner for Te Akau. This victory sees him unbeaten in four 2YO starts. Unfortunately Tokyo Tycoon was disqualified from his Group 1 Sistema Stakes victory in March 2023 Winners are swabbed, and i'm sure the authorities are doing the best they can to catch those exceeding the limits. Stewart hasn't had any disqualified for Positives . No good stressing and saying they're deliberately cheating When You Don't Know That for sure regarding a bit of Bad Timing?. The media can't go around 'suggesting It' (cheating) that's just Not right thing to do.

Well mate your questions are not to be known by anyone except the relavent parties. I've commented that Mark Purdon and Emma Stewart have been dominant and winning races for a long time because of the TEAM effort and Strategies they have in place. The best support staff going. they break in and get to the races horse after horse. Very admirable. I don't think the Media should crucify anyone , as you are calling for. How would they know the facts in this case. Act Now has won since being scratched that day at Maryborough by stewards and I'll be betting it was swabbed. Anything 'untoward' should be penalised . question 1 / only Emma could possibly know that. not you or me. question 2/ only Emma would know that. There's always talk about treatments / withholding periods etc. A lot of treatments are for the Welfare/ recovery of the horse. not to make it do better and race harder in the race. blatant cheating things are milkshakes and things like that.... question 3/ we are NO CHANCE of knowing her race day treatments. Innocent until proven guilty mate. you have no idea of the answer to that question ?? question 4/ All horses get treatments of some kind . orally , iv or tube . it helps them with welfare and recovery. Any high class athlete takes additives mate. Weetbix is good but you might just be an 'also ran' if you rely on it . question 5 / NO , I can answer that question. I think the testing is poor IMO . Mainly because the cycling athletes (who perform SUPERHUMAN feats ) every grand tour racing 20 days straight and they only catch a few of them π π Lance Armstrong got away for it for Years , and only caught and stripped of titles in the end because a disgruntled ex Team-mate dobbed them in. They were drug tested rigourously too (or so they say π) question 4/

Goes back last behind the mighty Queenslanders. We're a pretty nippy bunch up here !! π π Zoustyle and Rothfire burning it up early !! Good to see we're claiming Imperatriz as an Aussie too by the look of it. Always good to have a good one on the Aus team π . She'll be back last early on . Possibly in front at the Post !!π»π
