Understandably, the Meeting has been abandoned tonight, as a result of the awful shooting incident this afternoon in Christchurch. Thoughts go out to all people of Christchurch.

They are both serious racehorses, and will have some stern encounters in the future. It is not about who is better than who, it is for us genuine harness followers to be appreciative of the prospect of both these horses competing the open class trotting races, and performing to their potential. Sometimes it happens, sometimes it does not.

Hi Brodie, The subject got off the topic, and there was a side conversation about our horse Jack's Legend. Maybe, it was an error on my part. Cheers. Robert.
-
Hi Brodie, That is what he paid to win, on the tote. Cheers. Robert.
-
Hi Flaggie, Jack was very good wasn't he. He showed real courage and determination. Cheers. Robert.

Thanks Flaggie. I think Star Galleria might be the horse to beat tonight, as he is very good horse. Cheers. Robert.

Hi Happy, I think it has been an ongoing injury with the horse, and it has come to a head. It is just too hard when you are racing in the best company, and not be 100%. Many contributors on social media rate the open class horses around this season as poor, but as we come to the end of the season, and they are still going mile rates of 1.53 over 1700 metres, then they are not going too bad. Cheers. Robert.

Ultimate Machete scratched tomorrow night, and now retirement is looming. Cheers. Robert.

Hi Newmarket, Yes apparently, he told Mick he did not want to talk to the media. Cheers. Robert.

Hi Brodie, Everyone is different in their idea of a cheap price. What would your thinking be? I think, like in most things in life, value for money is with each individual. I might think $100,000 is cheap, and good value for a horse, and of course, others disagree. I can not speak for others, but ownership is the use of my leisure dollar/s, in a sport that I love, with no expectations, but a little hope. It is an interest that you meet some wonderful people, and can live the dream, if only briefly most of the time. Cheers. Robert.

Did it have a wheel of some kind that was used? Robert.

Good Luck Hunter. We also bought one. Who knows we might Quinella the two races. Cheers. Robert.

I had a feeling that "one for his nob" might of been an expression from a card game called Crib. Anyone know, or am I making it up, as my old age memories get fuzzy? Cheers. Robert.

Hi Hunter, I think sometimes we have just take the horse by the reins, and let it go, even for a lose. Not what we would want, but in many of life's challenges, it is better to, regrettably, move on. Cheers. Robert.

Hi Kopia, Asked him at the track on Tuesday morning, and he was unsure. He had played Golf on Monday, but did not seem to have ridden any horses as yet. Cheers. Robert.

Hi Flaggie, How about some other useful performers originating from down south, Cardigan Bay, Robin Dundee, Holy Hal, Majestic Charger, David Moss, Diamond Field, GamePaul, Debbies Boy, Poupette. Cheers. Robert.
-
Hi Chief, David Ellis is the person being referred to. Cheers. Robert.

Hi Happy, Yes, the above list is dated the 30th of December, the day before the competition finished on the 31st. I would have thought the final placings would have been displayed by now. Cheers. Robert.

He had a couple of workouts in Auckland before he left for Australia. Cheers. Robert.

Hi Brodie, A reason why we support Racing as owners, is because we choose to, in the knowledge that it our leisure dollar, and just as in betting, know we will probably not come out on top. If we do have good results on occasions , then that is a unexpected bonus. "No risk, no reward". Cheers. Robert.
-
Thanks. I am sure he will give a good account of himself. Cheers. Robert.
