  1. Hi Newie, I am not a computer buff, and thought my link might have been able to be viewed. Someone else may have more idea. Cheers. Robert.
  2. The very latest, thanks to the Informant. theinformant.co.nz/horror-injury-causes-shock-scratching-of-chicago-bull-from-nz-cup/ Very sad news.
  3. Correction. Race 6, is a standing start, over 1 mile. Will be the first standing start over that distance for years. Cheers. Robert.
  4. Hi Brodie, 9 Races over 1 mile this Friday night at Alexandra Park. Should be interesting racing, ranging from the maiden trot through to the open class trot, and everything else between. The only one race from a stand is over 2200 metres, which is the open class pace. I do not think it will be boring, as there is such a wide range of abilities across the board in each race. Just my opinion!! Cheers. Robert.
  5. Hi Hesi, Here is an update from RIU posted 6 hours ago by Brady Jones [ updated 6 hours ago ] Rotorua & BOP Hunt - 16 September 2018 Race 2 TEAM WEALLEANS HDL Trainer G Brick advised Stewards that he was satisfied with the recovery of the gelding.
  6. Hope you have a great day Barry. I also have sneaky regard for our local horse Underthemoonlight. Cheers. Robert.
  7. I have always thought Abbey Road looked like a handy horse, and is racing at Awapuni today in race 8. Cheers. Robert.
  8. Wishing Jamie a speedy recovery after being admitted to hospital yesterday. Cheers. Robert.
  9. From Garrick Knight on The Informant website this afternoon. Peter Jensen said he had three requests from media to record footage at the meeting, and he allowed it, but with some restrictions. “Newshub reported from Addington last night, and they were given the same message as the two other requests I had, from The Press and Radio New Zealand. “They were able to come on course, but I made the decision to restrict access to the stand and stables. “Newshub did their live report to the news and it worked well for them – I even went and introduced myself.” The primary reason for the restriction, Jensen says, was the on-course patrons, many of whom were guests of the race night sponsor. “ITM sponsored our race night and they had 380 people on course and most of them don’t know anything about harness racing – they are employees and clients of that company." Racing Media were not subject to any restrictions, Jensen said. “It’s fair to say that other than Cup Week, we don’t ever see the news media here. “The racing media are a different story altogether and are here every week.” Jensen said he just felt it wouldn’t be fair on guests to be asked questions on something they potentially didn’t know anything about. “What happens if they get a microphone stuck in their face and its their first time at the races?” Jensen says he can see the other side of the coin, which is that it may look like he and the club have something to hide. “Absolutely I can, but I made a judgement call and I stand by that.
  10. Thanks for that. Locally owned here in my town, and wondered how others would rate its chances. Cheers. Robert.
  11. Anyone have thoughts on Etah James in race 4 at Mooney Valley today? Cheers. Robert.
  12. This is not good for our sport, but time will uncork the events that have brought this to a head. The wound will be very big, and when we may look back in a few years, it may have been the realignment and shakeup that the sport was looking for. Right now, I am hanging in there, and in fact are taking three new people along to Cambridge tonight to experience a night out at the trots. Cheers. Robert.
  13. Hi Rangatira, I think the reason is because Allstars have publicly said they reduced the numbers of yearlings/now two year olds, they were taking this year. Of course, it does not mean they will not be dominate again, with the ones they have. Cheers. Robert.
  14. Hi Brodie, Looking at those stakes on Thursday night at Addington, is this not what most of us owners have wanted, to increase stakes for the maidens and up races and lower the top level races? Cheers. Robert.
  15. I was referring to the weekly magazine that had the previous weeks results dividends etc. Cheers. Robert.
  16. H Newmarket, If you are in Auckland at any stage, pop into the Hall of Fame, they have Trotting Calendars going way back to at least the 1960's, so you could look up the divies there, as a suggestion. Cheers. Robert.
  17. How would Blossom Lady be rated amongst the top mares during this time? Cheers. Robert.
  18. May have left the race night effort at the workouts?? Time will tell. Remember, it is a Junior drivers race, and it will be a genuinely run event. Cheers. Robert.
  19. Hopefully this work, with me taking the workout from the HRNZ results https://harness.hrnz.co.nz/gws/ws/r/infohorsews/wsd06x?Arg=hrnzg-Ptype&Arg=RaceVideo&Arg=hrnzg-RacehdrID&Arg=255100
  20. Hi Happy, Have a look at my Tuesday post three above, and all will be revealed. Cheers. Robert.
  21. Hi Jess, Chief is having a hard job controlling our Trans Tasman competition team. The pressure and responsibility is enormous!!!! Cheers. Robert.
  22. Information from HRNZ website. The Dan Patch will be broadcast live on Trackside 2 this Saturday afternoon, with a post time of 1.30pm. However due to the nature of North American harness racing time schedules this could run slightly later. Cheers. Robert.
  23. This Juniors race on Friday night will be the most even race of the night. Jeepers, Bill Haley was very dominate in winning at the workouts last Saturday, in really slick time. Simon drawn right behind him, so is a definite chance to reinforce his last start win was no fluke. Cheers. Robert.
  24. Race 10, Nucleus VC for me. Was disappointing last start, but was having his third start in two weeks, so might not have backed up. Cheers. Robert.
  25. Hi Brodie, Hope you are right with the Blue and Silver, not the stars though, maybe the spots instead!!! Cheeers. Robert.
