  1. Porn is dangerouss, can give you hardening of the arteries.
  2. It seems things got the better of Mitchell Kerr, he's not the first person to do so, gambling, drinking, drugs , porn but the greatest addiction that's taking over the world is the very thing we are on now, The Internet, take note anywhere you go, it's got us all hooked.
  3. Kapati Coast race on Sunday, same day as Marlborough in mid Janauary, 2 days before Manawatu.
  4. Happening to Roy Cropper at the moment😂
  5. I should add paid in Tuesday morning so it's their for the Northern Tuesday meetings.
  6. Maybe WINZ, 50 bucks a week automatically funding ones TAB account if your on a benefit.
  7. Don't know about breathing fresh air, seems more like hot air to me, I thought Entain, TAB were all for responsible gambling so why push more and more on to its customers, giving punters more opportunities, I actually think we have enough now. But we have choice, take it or leave it, interestingly I don't think the gallops got any new meetings.
  8. I note that the meeting today at Washdyke won't be same date next year, I started looking at new Calandar, right from start, Sunday October 6.....Thursday November 21, started thinking new dates but after the Xmas day, nought until Waimate in June. Bit of a waste. IMHO.
  9. Hard to believe Manawatu faced extinction not that long ago, Wairarapa appears to be a stand alone at New Year, Sundays seem to be busier, not many Saturdays, only 2 in Southland, I think, I don't think they need more but the experts think they can squeeze some more out of the punters, seems in everything sportswise we just want more and more, people can take it or leave it.
  10. Lots of people not sure have whats called sexual disorientation.
  11. I think the original pool was 175000 and they won 140 in the last, I may be incorrect on that though.
  12. By rights BGP should win more than they spend but will they take smart bets ? So the 75000 coming the TABs way might be going the other way, Entain won't worry, dishing out money is there speciality, but for how long ?
  13. Maybe they could build a new one in the centre.
  14. Don't tell anyone, and be a party pooper.
  15. I don't think there has ever been fixed odds on Hong Kong.
  16. Well that's a start to moving forward.
  17. It would be interesting to know what percentage of the bets that are taken are in the last 3 or 4 minutes leading up to a race screening on Trackside. Win and place has always been the most popular form of betting, quinellas also, if everyone as some say are betting on their phones tablets etc etc and getting their odds and info etc etc, then why have odds for anything on Trackside but then to counter that argument, if you show the odds on screen for win, then should also do same for place, there is very good value for many on the gallops, and many times for the grass track trots as well on place betting as opposed to a lot of the harness races with 2 dollar pops winning, a lot of the place money, hardly worth the effort, greyhounds the same, hence the lower percentage from win to place. In some ways the new trackside presentation is good, the older version did have a lot of clutter, I think it needs a bit of tinkering though, showing races and then not screening results, not always knowing which races are coming up, and moving the coverage from 1 channel to the other and not telling, those are little things. Moving to freeview, that is a positive, don't know how many it helps, maybe many who watch may not bet or bet much but it's exposing more people to racing, that can't be bad, it's worked for Cricket this year. You can say people don't watch or aren't watching TV much but they will if you put stuff worth watching, and that's still the number one way to get viewer participation or exposure. Interestingly TVNZ cutting one or two of their most popular programmes does seem a bit counter-productive to me.
  18. Firstly if they change a race to trackside 2, they tell you, about 10 minutes after its run, looking at the betting figures, a lot of the place betting especially in NZ is about 70% in relation to the win pool, not so high in relation to ozzy, rarely have the results. Why have they ignored place betting is a mystery, exotics are a bit different Should have the official time next to race number.
  19. I think you will find the presenters are being muzzled, interesting they are touting for more on course presenters but be better to employ a couple to do some radio work, Entain bought the radio but nothings changed and it's so much easier to give people info on radio , today I note they knock off the radio at 4 45 to cover the warriers game, when a big part of the big races, /Ozzie havnt even started but that's not as bad as it was when the Cricket test were on, they didn't bother at all. Radio and Racing go well together, just the same as Test Cricket. I stand by my comment, they want to drive turnover but I don't believe they could drive a shit barrow.
  20. Having had another look, how hard would it be to display the win / place odds, especially the fixed odds ? No point showing tote odds for greyhounds anyway, one bet and tote can go from 3 30 to 1 90, no one's going to bother , fixed at least you know what ya get. Presenters never mention place odds, each way is very popular. I do like the less clutter on screen but can't be hard to provide all the info needed, top or bottom left corner results you get sometimes, sometimes they just don't bother other times. It simply comes down to the average Joe's viewing experience. Entain are trying to drive turnover, I sometimes have doubts they could drive a wheelbarrow full of horse shit.
  21. Obviously female likes to be handcuffed.
  22. There is no reason why they couldn't have the win and place odds alternating on the screen. One thing I noticed today a lot of the official results were never shown after they left venue. They put the results straight after race in bottom left corner then officials if at all all on right side, hard to see exotics, if you are going to do it do it right or not at all, it just enhances the viewing experience.
  23. Well people I've been watching a bit this afternoon as well as watching our mighty women's cricket team and my thoughts on the new trackside is to coin a phrase once used by Frank Spencer, it needs a few minor adjustments. Sometimes you do wonder if the people making these changes understand what an average racing follower wants, as in info.
  24. Maybe he has binoculars, that's where everyone's going wrong.
  25. I think the idea is to have everyone on their smartphones on the platform, sitting in front of TV at home and reality is anyone sitting at home watching at home is probably doing that now, where you have all the info, basically turning every fucker into a zombie, im not sure if they are exploiting a gambling addiction or a internet addiction, i actually think more the latter. I'm still prepared to wait till after the weekend before passing judgment on the new tv presentation but I do think it's a bit of a oddball looking arrangement.
