1977 Kurow moved to Monday because of the 4th Lions test at Eden Park, never went back to Saturday. Strangely Mondays only for greyhounds now and that's just to put something on trackside for the bored and lost, would save trackside lots of money if they only showed aussie races, maybe only a audio stream for greyhounds, always was fine in the past.

Big difference between friends and associates, Putins not even attending a summit in South Africa, maybe he don't trust his so called friends. Wouldn't think we are friends of China but as they buy lots of our stuff we turn a blind eye to their human rights issues.

I stand to be corrected on this one but Russia produces a lot of dairy produce, some of that may be ending up in China, Russia don't have too many friends at present.

Everything is a vicious circle, we have a smart well educated society yet seem to be getting worse than the generation before in most things.

Farming is always cyclical but you have good years and you have bad years both money wise and weather wise but so many of the support industry's never drop their charges, yet once the payout starts climbing bang they bang their charges up. 6 bucks would be OK, not brilliant but manageable if everybody else took a cut back in line but no one ever does.

I'm still rather amused by this massive injection of cash into NZ racing and how Entain can make it pay, if people don't bet or can't afford to, short term it all looks good but 5 years time it's going to be interesting, maybe Entain will have shot themselves in the foot. Incidentally Fonterra have dropped their forecast price again so further stress on NZ, interesting times.

8 races, guess that's pretty good for the time of the year, I was right about the open race, seems the experts were wrong scheduling one, but as I often say, what do I know.

Must simply have had a difference somewhere, maybe the TAB are wanting a better deal from senz or not bothering at all.

4 nominations for the open handicap, I imagine they can be shifted to another race, maybe and only 6 for a maiden 3 year old race, I was right thought about the open handicappers, they had there go last week.

Well going by that logic Oamaru should be racing next week to allow a few grass trackers a little bit more rest after slogging through that shit hole called Riccarton. Nominations shortly I will be interested to see how many open handicappers are looking to turn up. I could be completely wrong, I have been before.

It appears that the TAB are no longer funding senz as in punters club or free bets in competitions. Maybe that relationship has gone a bit sour. As for the pokies, slots they call them, played them online a few years back, never played them in a pub or club very addictive, they mesmerize people.
