  1. Team Orange Seems this site is pretty dead recently, might be with the weather warming up.people are doing other things or just running out of oomph.
  2. Gamma bit busy and havnt kept up with things. I will put picks for first 4 races and get the rest on later. R1 3 8 R2 6 8 R3 4 9 R4 7 16
  3. Sometimes it looks like the grass track needs demolishing too and having a makeover.
  4. My thoughts are simple, geo block aussie, until we can operate freely between both countrys, at present they cant bet off shore, we can, if our lot could accept aussies,(and that probably means a lot of ex kiwis) at the TAB then that seems a fairer playing field. As for online casinos, dont worry about them, banning them wont attract new race punters but if the TAB want to run one fine, many betting sites do. But being stuck on one site only, yea nagh, this is a racing issue, should they control everything that people in NZ do as regards to their gambling, No. Might be fine for Russia or China to control people, not in godzone.
  5. Gee I thought my thread had died lol. Might have to post a song later. Kevs off to the UK now, most of his concerts are all sold out, his music will go on well after he stops going, the magic and longevity of music, never underestimate it.
  6. Will go team 7, just a pick but better than nought. Gee you've done some research here Gamna. Galahad think you might need to go again.
  7. Strange, I thought if you were in oz you can't use the TAB.
  8. If it looks to good to be true, probably is, but if Mr Bloggs said it then it may well be true. lol. When they start setting those odds for every race im in.
  9. Like it or not, (and I say that as it's a racing forum) sports betting is where the growth for the TAB, and if they don't provide betting options then people will just go elsewhere, I find the sports betting stimulating, always something on, and lots of sport to watch on the website ias well. While I'm sometimes not always a fan of the TAB, they do support racing and sport in NZ , people must not forget that.
  10. Football in NZ must get some handy payouts from the TAB. I know Basketball does, the NBA is very popular, so there is a plus side to sports betting, profits go to organizations just as lotto does with theirs
  11. Totally agree, I'm not convinced about the ABs, wait until they play in Europe later, but one can't deny Aussie ain't that flash at present, maybe Mr Friedman might be right on his observations on our racing but sometimes Aussies can be a bunch of self righteous wogs.
  12. Be fair to say most of their rugby players ain't up to test standard.
  13. Time to reignite this thread. Kevin Bloody Wilson has just about sold out all the venues hes been too around NZ, not bad for a guy who's been 35 years at it. A few years back I was reading about some of his travelling stage crew, one guy as part of the team had a uncanny ability to empty concert halls with his nauseating flatulence, one wonders if hes still touring and is only let loose at the end of the show😄 Kevin Bloody Wilson, fucking legend🤠
  14. Sort of stuffs up the theory of centralization, wouldn't be a more out of the way place.
  15. It appears you can vote overseas on TAB nz if you are a NZ citizen living overseas or of course are on holiday, and of course have a account, some countrys geo block , aussie have, USA, Singapore, France appear to as well, I think France dont even have live betting I stand to be corrected, one of the theorys of partnering with a aussie operator would allow TAB NZ to operate out of ozzie, mergers are happening all the time, once there was William Hill, Crown and Sportsbet, now I think they are all one, interesting times.
  16. Just to add, that's why you have Betfair Australia and ladbrokes and bet365 have aussie sites individually different from the uk versions.
  17. Hey if I was a bit more savvy with things technical I would post a news item on stuff news where Australian Legislation barred betting on NZ TAB from oz as they had to, or have to have a licence to operate, this was in 2014 check it out, google it,even if on holiday you are geoblocked, so it's not the NZ TAB who are wrong Having said that one wonders though as that is 2014, what have they done to get one or is the rigmarole not worth the hassle?
  18. Your suggesting overseas operators ain't paying tax at all or as much as OZ owned ones ?
  19. Well in NZ as it stands we are free to bet on anything anywhere so where is the problem, it's weird you have to call to place a in play bet in oz, that's draconian.
  20. So in australia can you bet on Bet365, the UK site or Betway or 10 bet, William Hill UK, Colossus football pools. When you go to Betfair, we get directed to the Australian site, used to bet on Betfaur UK.
  21. I suspect that is not the TABs fault, more a aussie ruling, so if a Kiwi is on holiday and cant bet on NZ TAB does that seem fair ? So if aussie have closed borders and I suspect they may well have, why is it any different for NZ to do same. Personally I dont support the idea.
  22. Maybe if their heads dont hit the roof at 50 km then try 80 kmhs
  23. One other little thing i have noticed on NZ TAB, the odds on live betting is slightly less than what you get on a overseas site, i suspect thats more to do with the feed they are getting from their supplier.
  24. While lots are critical of the TAB or the website the in play sports setup is actually very good, MLB and the NBA are live, lots of Tennis and Soccer and the reality is they are out to get the maximum amount of betting which is all about one thing , profit which goes back to our sporting bodies. Closing off aussie bookmakers for racing for kiwis, well thats a different issue. completely.
  25. That crossing at Gore is a shocker yet a perfectly smooth all weather track sits idle, those crossings turn the race into a lottery.
