  1. After someone winning on Cody Banner, no one is gunna get close backing Purdons 2 dollar shots
  2. R1. 8 13 R2 4. 11 R3. 2. 5 R4. 4. 11 R5. 8 9 R6. 3. 10 R7. 1. 15 R8. 1. 8 R9. 6. 15 R10. 4. 9 R11. 3. 5 R12. 1. 3 See how they go, my picks for the cup are based on 14 and 15 meeting unforseen events, which can happen, not likely but possible, otherwise 15 will probably win. Anyway see how they go.
  3. Not too many southerners at cup day, and the South of the Waitaki race on friday has a rating 60 horse as the highest rating nomination and not many at Winton on Sunday either so it may be cup day but it won't underline how harness racing is falling away outside Canterbury..
  4. I actually have started receiving emails informing me of a jockey who I picked at random to see if it works and you wouldn't believe it it does, that's on msn, no text as yet.
  5. Had a gambling problem lol.
  6. Any feedback from the TAB, did the person jn question contact them,. I know that bonuses do have a cut out time but seems to me if you are just new then good public relations would say have them back and explain how they work. I've had one person ask me once how to use them, might sound silly but lots of newcomers just don't know. If the TAB give the odd goodwill bonus surely they should do same here.
  7. Can't be fhat difficult covering Nelson, Marlborough and Manawatu trials😆
  8. Is the horse still owned in NZ ?
  9. I have never had a notification on the odd horse I have filed in my favorites, don't know why.
  10. Curious I thought you were gone from here.
  11. Free entry except on big days, what a innovative idea. I think that's just what NZ needs to get the courses packed out again, just like the old days🤣
  12. Over 200 noms and over 100 for Ascot Park which is impressive, looks like 11 races for Timaru , the Southern meeting is basically a stand alone meeting.
  13. It's OK to watch the odd race on ya phone, it's good as a option, after all you can be out and about but all day, highly unlikely. The audio stream is poor, well it is when it's busy, they just change channels at their own discretion, often Matt Cross or whoever is previewing or reviewing a race then bang out of nowhere a greyhound race from Timbuktu starts bearing out, not a good listen but then it's fine if your out and about and want to hear a specific race but listening all day that would be a hard ask.
  14. And Washdyke, just 1 raceday, a bit weird.
  15. The 18 70 you pay for the Sky box rental is nothing, the question is what do racing benefit from by being on sky's platform as opposed to free to air as in the freeview platform, many people don't have sky, not because of money, just can't be bothered with it.
  16. Just 15000 in the Timaru quaddie yesty, but Methven next Sunday so the punters will be out in force. 240 nominations for Methven, only 75 for Northern Southland at this point of time.
  17. Free to air sky Open has free to air sport all day, racing needs some, it's missing a trick here.
  18. How does one not know if the bigger turnovers are by races being broadcast on trackside one ? I often question why the TAB screen greyhound races someday, the turnover is so poor with tv coverage hardly worth their while.
  19. Races back at Gore today, no street parade or public holiday In the town, while people waffle on if they want to close track down, often they also hardly turn up anyway. Guess at the end of the day the public turning up isn't the big issue, the track being used is.
  20. If geo blocking comes in ,.no tax for the Nats.
  21. Spark sport had trackside, but it didn't shift to freeview. People may be moving away from normal tv, but streaming everything online, nice to have balance, does everybody want to spend all their life online, I don't, who does? Tvnz and Newstalk zb have the biggest audience in their various mediums because they are free to everyone.
  22. Any live sport on free to air will always have a bigger audience,
  23. What actually is the difference money wise screening trackside on Sky as opposed to freeview, freeview has the greatest audience,, someone must know.
  24. 30000 bet on the late quaddie at the Mot yesterday, a far cry from the 4500 odd at Winton a day earlier, it's all about timing and depths of field, those Mot figures compare well with Awapuni on Saturday, just saying.
  25. How much rain in Rotorua today. Anyone know ?
