    Yes I agree Hesi but frankly they ain't buying in - I worked it out and max should have been 19% not 43% - have filed the thing but will see John Allen at Wellington Steeple day and have a chat

    They have it so wrong - they are investigating but not holding my breath - my win multi was 1535 - if Tarzan had if won my payout for all 5 would have been $900 with the 43% deduction - on an $18 late scratching - no f'en way - met this before but not this bad - will keep you posted

    Had a 5 horse win and place multi in last 5 races sunshine coast yesterday - got the place multi with all 5 but late scratching in race 8 and payout cut from $108 to $64. Got 4 of the 5 in the win multi which for 5 was $1535 but for the 4 + last 4 races+ got $110 - TAB saying late scratching slashed the payout Anyone met this - seems massive deductions for one late scratching

    Sadly no choices left - Ellerslie, The Rapa, Counties all stuffed - only Avondale but clearly out of favour - left with Tauranga or Ruakaka and each of those tracks have their own quirks and both bias based - just shows how bad the situation really is - on a death roll unless we act very quickly

    Don't think he will - all about costs and governance and streamlining management of the industry - I think the big recommendation will be joining TAB Australia for all FO betting - he will ditch the BS USA meetings we have and I think he will reintroduce free Trackside to bring back the client base - head office costs will be cut too 25% plus

    Add bowling clubs, pubs generally, sports clubs, RSA's, Cosy Clubs etc et - life and demands have changed - we want quality now - the old service of "hot dogs and chips" ain't where it is at - when will they wake up

    Indeed - and a relation, with many heated debates - once a Corporate always a Corporate and didn't do history study Uni - and knew nothing about racing the day he took the role - change manager and no longer involved at any level

    Its like Cup Day Canterbury - they turn out for major events - and to watch history - a bit like Winx in Sydney - you have to have the animals to attract super crowds - Harness Jewels outside of Canterbury Cup week is as good as we have - beyond that zippo IMHO

    Doomben Carnival was good but has lost a little spark - good even fields but not so sure the A Team horses go there now but still have strong fields

    Dave, I think most of us here wanted a fresh start with the freedom to post even if it was not the party line. We have it and we enjoy it RC has a place just like BOAY does as does Race Chat and I guess we gravitate to where we are most comfortable Enjoy Tom

    I think the track is completely stuffed - but they are not alone Gotta feel for Avondale - when will they wake up - ridiculous decisions being made Let's hope the Ellerslie work is good in the long term as Northern racing is hurting big time - Counties and The Rapa now summer tracks
