  1. Just googled and it transpires that Mr Sherwood is a Senior Crime writer. Maybe it is time that he retires or starts posting about the real crims that are doing the real harm in the community???
  2. This gutter posting journalist who has learnt everything from Van Beynon, is also asking in his BS for anyone to email him if they know more!! So he wants people to grass on people in the harness industry!!! Well yes Mr Sam Sherwood, I do know more? Carry on with this blatant attack on harness racing and its participants and you are going to be extremely disliked ! If this is the best you can do and think that you are doing a great job straight out of journo school, I suggest you go and change your career! We are over this continuation of this BS assassination of harness racing! Instead of trying to hang young harness participants that may do wrong, lets see if you will write some of your stories about men in gangs that do wrong and use their names!!! No one knows who on earth you are and you are just trying to make a name for yourself on the back of Van Beynon!!! I suggest you make yourself more useful by not rehashing the same shit week in week out!!!!!!!!!
  3. This Sam Sherwood understudy to Van Beynon is a plonker! FFS why on earth does everytime he wants to report on something bad, he has to bring up Mitch Kerr etc! Gutter journalism!!
  4. Marky, so what you have just shown is that anyone could train a galloper. It is more about managing staff than the actual training of a horse! Rogerson is a manager rather than someone who actually does something with the horse! You are correct that generally there is not much reward in racing horses nowadays.
  5. Ranga, I could train a thoroughbred no probs! what expertise do you really need Ranga?
  6. Chief, on the face of it there is a heck of a lot more to training a standardbred than a thoroughbred! A galloping action is a natural gait so is not needed to be taught to the horse. They can either gallop or they can’t. They throw a saddle on them and get someone to ride them. Pacing and trotting is not as easy a gait for horses so is therefore harder to train. They require far more gear and more trial and error. Never had a license of either code, however training a galloper certainly appears not that difficult. They can either gallop fast or they cant!! Not too sure why thoroughbred trainers charge more for training than harness?
  7. Shu, where have I bagged every galloping trainer? The point I have made is that on the face of it, it is far easier to be a galloping trainer than a harness trainer! I am still waiting for your all the things that a galloping trainer does!!
  8. Was Rogerson ever a jockey?
  9. OK Shu, what are all these extra things that a galloping trainer needs to do? Many galloping trainers have never been jockeys, what are all these attributes that a galloping trainer needs to show to be able to bet a trainers license???? I would say that almost all harness trainers have had a harness drivers license before they get a trainers license! Shu, I knew some would bite, but most harness trainers would probably agree with Brodie!
  10. Probably get castigated by some for saying this but anyone can train a galloper! What do the galloping trainers actually do? They have staff that muck out the stables, they have jockeys and track work riders who jump on and work the horses! Yes they will tell the riders what he wants timewise, but on the face of it, not that difficult to chuck a saddle on! Has Graeme Rogerson ever been in the cart does anyone know??
  11. Does Rogerson actually has much to do with the standardbreds? Isnt it Dylan Ferguson that actually does the training and Rogerson just collects the training fees?
  12. FFS, what a load of BS! Who is this Dipstick that wrote this? Why did this Gavin Fry need to have his comments published? Hey he missed out he racism BS from one of our former Juniors! He missed out the whipping episode at Forbury! He missed out the skullduggery with employees of the RIU a few years ago, coverup!!!! If this is what our Journalists want to keep bringing up and publishing then they should EFF OFF!!!!!!! Seriously the agenda that these amateur journalists is portraying is just nauseating!
  13. Probably lack of ability Chief! It was amazing that it was persevered with
  14. Well aware that horses improve in different stables and different training techniques! The point I have always maintained is that if you can not run a place in over 50 starts, why on earth would you be bothered blowing tens of thousands of dollars on a horse that was not worth it! It is good to see that the new Averos Spitfire has now won 2 races on the grass and racing with a will to win. A far cry to its previous 4 seasons or so of unplaced racing! It has been a bit of a journey for the horse, been entertaining and maybe Karrots could write a song or poem about the champ?
  15. Probably don’t have to Whiplash! Andrew must be questioning his own abilities wouldn’t you think? What do you put the dramatic improvements down to? I have selective memory Whiplash, I remember the stuff worth remembering!!
  16. I never once bagged the owner! I bagged the logic of racing a horse who could not run a place in 50 starts!!!!! Yes I probably bagged the trainer for having a horse in the stable that just was not good enough to be racing! You might say it has proven Brodie wrong in that it has nkw won 2 races!! However the horse that has won its last two starts is totally not the same racing horse that I commented on! This horse is racing like a totally different horse and something has changed clearly apart from just the location of training!
  17. FFS Ranga. Give it a miss!!! Purdon did not campaign many horses at Greymouth at all!!!!!!
  18. Ranga, the horse shouldve been retired when it was not good enough to run a place. The new owners are having fun but the owners who previously owned it lost a packet! Excuse the alzheimers but what us the twirl moment?
  19. I feel for the previous owners who wouldve spent many tens of thousands and never got a win or close to it! Hoffman is obviously a very talented trainer!
  20. Chief, no conspiracies, just amazed at how a professional trainer can not get close to a win with a horse in several seasons and now we have 2 in a row with a horse that wants to try!
  21. Ranga, would appreciate it if you would put the word in with them! I am sure you have probably got a fair bit of clout?
  22. Seriously, if there is not a look into how this Averos Spitfire can go from being a total dud to winning 2 in a row from a new stable, then things are not right! As I said before, Andrew Faulks must be wondering how on earth a horse that he had in his stable and was nil, could go to another stable and win 2 in a row? Has someone checked the freeze brand, as the horse that has wanted to win his last 2 starts, is not the same horse that couldnt in its previous few years of racing! You can not say it is the beach training as I believe The horse would’ve been on the beach with Andrew Faulks? Good on the new owners and it shows that perseverance can sometimes pay off, however this improvement in this horse does not seem right!!!!!!
  23. Ranga, want to know what is in the water at Waikouaiti?
  24. Another big nail in the coffin of harness racing in the North, sith Tim giving it away. Tim often had 4 or 5 in some races and without his participation many races would not have been run! Seriously, racing in the north is in dire straights, and hard to see now it can be resurrected. Do not know why Tim has chucked in his license, however he was known to have harness racing best interests at heart! Harness in the north can not afford to lose men of his calibre and there are next to none coming thru nowadays up north! T
  25. Galah, where am I wrong? The rule that you have to prove that you wouldve unquestionably beaten the horse that checked you is blatantly dumb! The Stipes just can not ge bothered having enquiries because it holds up racing, never mind getting the right answer!
