SAFE’s Campaign Manager Jessica Chambers, is she for real? She states that the only way to protect racehorses is to ban racing altogether???????????? YOU WHAT?????? FFS, Jessica Chambers, if there was no horse racing then there would be horses to race!!!! Is that too hard for her to understand? The horses would not be alive in the first place as they would not be getting bred in the first place!!!!!! No one is going to be breeding a Standardbred unless it is going to be racing! Same as Greyhounds!

They say that Mitch Kerr lost a helluva lot of money betting sith the Ladbrokes Bookmakers in Oz! You would think that the Bookies there would know who was losing so much money wouldnt you? So the fact is that the Bookmakers didnt have any worries at all about a young NZ trainer losing huge money! The NZ TAB advertises that they care about punters losing money!! They also care about punters winning money as well, as they chop them off at the knees by restricting them to pathetic amounts! So what punters do these Bookies actually want? Yes Mitch was responsible for his actions and they were very bad actions and I dont condone any of them whatsoever! What I do know is that the Bookies and the TAB’s are ruthless and do not care about their customers at all, or something would’ve been done to restrict Mr Kerr, who clearly was in trouble with his gambling!!!!

To be fair JJ, you couldnt really be called an excitement machine! Not sure why you say that Unhinged has got my number? I am still waiting for the numbers in regard to the $1.1 million turnover, how much on And offcourse? How much on win and place and the exotics etc. What I guarantee is that turnover would be a helluva lot better if the accountants allowed punters to actually offload. As for the TAB not giving a toss about me is irrelevant I wouldve thought? Financially I dont need them but they certainly need to continue to attract new punters!

We have no idea as to how much is being offloaded on fixed odds at meetings as we are not shown this! What I do know is that the TAB are severely affecting their turnover due to the pathetic amounts they are prepared to accept from punters! How about they be more transparent and advertise what bet amounts are being wagered. I personally would not consider the TAB is being KIND in thinking that $200 is a large amount for a punter to win. What Bookmaker thinks that the pathetic amount of $200 is worth a punter bothering

Tote pool 700k so fixed odds therefore $400k! What was the course turnover do you know? Do you know what the tote pools were for win and place at all? How am I to do some homework so that I am able to get accurate figures to quantify what the win and place pools actually were yesterday. There is a lot of figures given out by racing people including the NZ TAB and we all know that they were insolvent! Auckland TC run races for far bigger stakes than they should be as it is costing the industry. If they are turning over over $1 million then lets see how this is made up! The tote pools win and place suggest that turnover on the tote is way down on what used to be wagered. I also suggest that fixed odds wagering could well be down as the NZ TAB just wont take bets of any significance from many punters so turnover is not increasing! How many people actually know of people that are getting into punting on harness horses? I would suggest quite the opposite, punters not bothering as that is my experience over the last couple of years. Many of the regulars that used to always be oncourse never bother nowadays. You only need to look on Trackside tv coverage to see buggerall oncourse

Can you actually give us a clearer breakdown of this $1.1 million? Seems very high wouldn’t you think? There mustve been a helluva lot of fixed odds bets and exotics for it to be anywhere near that figure. Thats $100k per race and as we know $10k in each tote pool on the tote is quite high nowadays! Look forward to the breakdown from the TAB shortly then?
