  1. Where are these big wigs who have been making these decisions along with John Allen, that has brought racing in NZ to its knees? We haven’t heard from them and wouldn’t think we would, however they will still be expecting many thousands each and every week into their Bank accounts! Glen Saville, you are still in charge of wagering with the NZ TAB, and you haven’t once As far as I am aware, poked yourself nose out of the trough and put your point of view across! You clearly approved John Allen being allowed to totally stuff racing in NZ, and yet you still remain employed somehow on A massive salary for doing what? Come out and explain to all racing industry participants why you should be collecting a huge salary when the trainers, and drivers and jockeys are going to be looking for a new career in the next year or so??
  2. Correct. I haven’t seen anything yet that gives any confidence that racing is going to survive, quite the opposite. With some sort of respect to Dean, does anyone know how much Dean McKenzie is being provided with to bring racing back to being a profitable business. I have it on pretty good authority That he isn’t on small bickies, quite the opposite, somewhere up where Mr John Allen was, unless someone can advise us otherwise??? We go from having a good surplus to now being on life support and by not promoting racing at all, you might as well turn out the lights! The existing punters will be voting with their feet, watch this space. I have for years stated that the NZ TAB business plan was seriously flawed and the chickens have come home to roost! How on earth can the ones that supported John Allen even think it’s is right to stay on? What they have allowed to happen is to send the industry into oblivion, as this government will not be bailing them out again, and it will need more of a lifeline in the future without doubt. Bleak future Indeed but just reality unfortunately!,
  3. Reality is that RITA can’t do anything to make racing profitable again, while the FAT CATS are still got their noses involved in the sinking ship! I don’t think that a lot of the racing participants including the trainers are totally aware of how much they have Been shafted by John Allen and his assistants!! Racing is still on its knees and if you can afford to be racing for the amount that the new stakes are going to be, then I say good luck!
  4. Greg, I have been told by someone in the know that Dean is on very big money! Certainly not a communist at all, totally the opposite! What I believe in is that if people are going to be paid massive salaries at the taxpayer and punters expense, then show us why you deserve it, and at the moment we haven’t been shown anything! A large handout from the government of over $70million given and what is the plan to get racing out of the shite? Laying off staff is a way of course, but is it the answer, I doubt it! You are so knowledgeable Greg, how many of the big wigs that should’ve seen the mistake buying the betting platform was, are still employed in the racing industry, and how much have their salaries dropped?? I take it if you don’t come back with the information Greg, then it is a given that they are still there and on the big salaries still!!!! How you can defend incompetence that has caused so many jobs to be lost defies much logic!
  5. Greg, I have not seen anything from RITA that has shown me that they have any idea on how to pull racing out of the shite!! You say that salaries have been cut back but from what I have heard on the grapevine, that the big wigs are still on massive salaries and we are seeing nothing for these! Seem you know, what are the big wigs salaries at RITA and the NZ TAB on? Reality is that the industry can not afford to be paying them and for what they do, don’t deserve them. The gravy train needs to be knocked on the head now, and no point you just saying they have been reduced, reduced to what ??
  6. Greg, surely people invested and interested in racing has every right to whinge about what the big wigs have done to their livelihood? Racing is effed and that is due to people being paid by the punters inNZ and yet there are still the same big wigs milking the industry and paid also by the NZ taxpayer! Greg, you seem to think you know what is going on at the TAB, who reason racing will have major difficulty in recovering ever! So the big wigs at the NZ TAB that were on 750k or $500k have had their salaries halved or better than that or are they still on the gravy train of the punters that remain? We have Already seen plenty of things taken off the punter but nothing from the big wigs, that have stuffed racing? Saville and co. Should be gone, as what have they contributed to racing in the last few years that has been positive? Nothing! If they were in the private sector they would all be gone!!!!!
  7. Booby, Firstly, my kids haven’t got kids so not sure how Brodie has got grandkids? Secondly, have done rather nicely financially since Arden has been in control, not so much to the NZBTAB though. Thirdly, NZ ‘ers have a very good quality of life compared to most countries overseas. It will not be as good now due to the governments borrowing due toCovid19 virus which will need to be paid back . In Queenstown at the mo, seems quite a few people around but they say it is very quiet. Stacks of rental cars all parked up, supposedly one outfit has 100 for sale.
  8. Firstly JAKH, I like the cut of your jib! You have a lot of spunk for an oldie and not easily led on the face of it! I acknowledge the government had to chuck some money into bail people out, but they have done this quite poorly now. Money was given away to business that was not even trading and to companies that didn’t deserve it, but Labour has always been good at that! I am sure you would get out In The van with someone else driving. My point was that most people in rest homes don’t actually personally pay for their care. It is paid by the taxpayer, and well done to you if yoU are paying as it is pretty exhorbitant the cost of over $1000 per week in most homes. Finally, no relation to Mike, however I do normally agree with what he says, as he says it the way he seesit and is not reliant on the taxpayer for our living!!
  9. It doesn’t affect us either financially! I do feel for the coming generations who will have to pay for the borrowings of this left wing govt. You have already been given the “Gold Card” However if you are in a rest home you have probably got the van for transport anyway! Most of the elderly in rest homes don’t pay anything anyway JAKH, the taxpayer does!
  10. Look, I am more a National supporter than the current loser government that is the most incompetent government NZ has ever had. However, I don’t like Muller and Kaye as they are too left wing for me.. As for fundraising, I don’t need to do that for anyone. You are correct that there is more in the House without any business sense than have it, but National has got a lot mOre intelligence than the brain dead currently in power!!!
  11. Always on the money is “Brodie”
  12. Booby, your perogative to support a government that has no idea of how they can get NZ out of the shite! Watch this space as people will realise that Brodie and Chief are correct! Watch as the blind see people around them lose their business or their jobs unnecessarily, I probably won’t be having a go for a week or two until their is some recent form, as the most recent form is not relevant! Keep safe!
  13. Yes, Ken Rutherford is correct in Pretty much everything he says, Who are the dropkicks that employ these people like Glenda Hughes and John Allen and Glen Saville? They should be cleaning out these corporate losers who go from company to company throwing their weight around and thinking that they know how to run business! Look at the dickheads that they have had at Fonterra who were on mega millions but were worth two fifths of eff all with their decisions. Agree that the synthetic track is going to be a total lemon despite what trainers like Michael Pitman and co.say. Racing would be in Receivership now if it had not been from the NZ taxpayer handout and that money is not going to be enough to save it! There just is not enough people making sensible decisions at the TAB, as I have personally experienced. The TAB were stopping punters from wagering and then putting others off by their actions, rather than encouraging punting. Who is In charge of the NZ TABs wagering at the moment? Is it still Glenn Saville? If it is, where the hell is he, apart from at the Bank withdrawing his exhorbitant salary that he is fraudulently getting for his ability. Time these people were moved on big time because they have been the death knell for racing in Nz and will have cost so many people their lIvelihoods in the next year or so! I need to say what I really think.
  14. Geez, you are a feisty old fellah for 85! Not your typical rest homer JAKH, bet you are a bit popular with the ladies! Decisive or not, I like to be pretty accurate with any predictions old fellah. Wouldn’t be betting on either, and if I got it wrong the Rangster would start posting pictures of the Mark Purdon horse that raced once at Victoria Park. It is probably a 50/50 call at this stage JAKH! Havent you got Bingo now?
  15. Get on to the fixed odds for Russia Ural league think it is gaming! Fifa Electronic football it is gaming Moscow Lisa pro, it is table tennis Steka Cup, table tennis We are just so lucky that the NZ TAB paid $40m plus $17m every year so we can offload on this shit aren’t we???
  16. Geez a walking frame? Get into the ride on JAKH, far easier on the old legs young man! Never shy, just have policy not to tip horses for lbvious reasons. who will win, no preference, as I think there are better than Muller and Kaye in National. Think they are too left for National with current thoughts.
  17. Booby, terribly soul destroying not agreeing with the Brodster. What National did in 9 years is ran NZ very very successfully which is one of the reasons that this bunch of losers have got away with mediocrity so far. What is so wrong with people doing well financially, the alternative of people not doing well is a shambolic situation that isn’t great. It is total BS when people say at least they tried!!!! Reality is that they didn’t try whatsoever as they built next to no KiwiBuild houses apart from labelling some pathetic boxes in Hobsonville and places that didn’t need them. Twyford is now Minister of Economic development and he is the best that they have got? Peters has never been much good for anything let alone racing. Every now and then he pipes up and has now given racing $70million or so,which is not going to be the saviour of racing, and the hand will need to be out continuously, watch this space. as for the health system, we have one of the best systems in the world, when you compare it to overseas. Personally have private cover for the whole family as I think that is in the best interests of protecting those I love. The problem is that we have seen nothing yet in regards to mental illness/ depression due to many of the stupid decisions that are being made currently. Look,Booby if I thought that there was a single person in the current government that was good for the country and had some ability, I would tell you, but unfortunately my lips have to stay still for once!!
  18. You are right Chief!
  19. Ranga, sorry,? My man Simon? Not with you? If you mean the National leader, Simon Bridges, he may well be ousted as leader of the National Party, but I have got no control over that Ranga! What I do know is that the current Prime Minister is just so BAD for NZ! First she thinks we need more public holidays and now questions whether we could have 4 day working weeks!! And people think that she knows what she is doing to get the country out of the shite by working less?????? This government has got no ability whatsoever in regards to business but very good at closing the business sector down and effing people’s lives!! The budget was called a budget for creating jobs, you have to be bloody kidding? Chucking borrowed money is just getting NZ further into the mire
  20. Never voted the reds in at all! Never will be a Communist, JAKH!!!!!! No, gave sheep away years ago, never wanted the wool pulled over my eyes, unlike many in NZ are willing to have done nowadays! Any outings today?
  21. Anyone that supported John Allen to purchase this dog of a system should be gone! No business sense and anyone with business acumen should’ve been able to see what an overpriced system it was going to be. NZ population of punters did not justify the costs
  22. Greg, the arrogance from these big wigs is sickening really! Government employees with no business skills, attending meetings, making stupid decisions, wasting money and milking the industry to the point of destroying racing. Greg, seem you are in the know, these Baboons that think they were worth $500k did what exactly in the day to warrant their salaries?... Racing will not survive in NZ without continued government handouts going forward! I have been continually stating that the TAB business plan was flawed but I wasn’t aware just how effed it actually was! John Allen and his supporters should be held to account and sued!,
  23. Think it is all red in Wellington at the mo! Baaaa!
  24. Always on the money, you know that! Dont bother with your pathetic effort of showing Mark Purdon with one of his 5 horses that he raced at Greymouth, and reckon that shows he was a big campaigner if horses there!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  25. Chief, haven’t looked but probably none from AllStars! No money up at the mo!
