Yes it is debateable, however the starter shouldve seen that the no. 1 horse was well out of position and with his assistant hindering it from coming forward, and let them go And yet the next stand, an experienced pacers race, he took his time and reset it when a horse was playing up? The only consistency we get week in and out, is that we know the starter will be inconsistent!

One of the starters assistants was annoying it and was in front of it with his hand in front of her face! Wasnt given a fair start if u watch the replay Happy Assistant certainly did not think the tape was going to go Ditch the stands altogether

So does this set a precedent for all future standing starts? If horses arent ready we let them go?

Totally agree the horse played a major part in it, however it was not given a fair start due to being out of its right position! Ditch the stands like most tracks have, if they arent fair

Of course it is Ranga! The cracked record is due to unfair treatment of punters in NZ! Seem you have contacts, get them to treat all punters in NZ fairly, before they go into oblivion! All they are doing is driving punters away from racing

Sugar n Spice drew 1 in race 5 at Addington over the proverbial 2000m stand! It was a certainty beaten, as the starter yelled out Riight, when Sugar and Spice was standing many lengths back from its designated starting point! It produced a massive run to hit the front and finish just out of the dividend bearing places. If it hadve been allowed a fair start, it wouldve won!! Hopefully today will be the day that the Stewards announce their report into The race 9 shambles of two weeks ago! Should make good reading!

Ranga, what are you meaning by that? So you are saying it is ok for the TAB to restrict people to netting 2-$300 becajse they associate with someone? Restriction limits have been lowered more and more. What I am seeing is that the TAB is driving turnover down on harness racing both on fixed and tote. Looking at the tote pools today, they are very small and if this continues there is no way stakes will be maintained! The NZ TAB have lost the plot totally and will go into administration in time, as there is not going to be any more bailing out from a left wing government!

So punters that have never been restricted are still able to place bets that will net them in excess of say$500 with no problem? If that is the case why are some restricted to two or three hundred????

Does anyone know if the NZ TAB has placed a limit of how much You can net now? Happy has not been able to place what he has wanted Recently, and I am wondering now on this basis, has everyone now been RESTRICTED on their accounts????? What I do know is that the restrictions on account now is at a level, that just doesnt make it worth the effort!!!!! Only being able to place bets where you can only net a few hundred to me is just absolute BS!!!!! Even after they slash the odds, you can not get back on again!! They call themselves Bookies, I would call them something else! Ranga, the Stewards said that they had opened up an enquiry into the start of race 9 standing start on 9/8/2020 due to the fact that it was not an acceptable standard! That was 2 weeks ago Ranga, and we have not heard a thing since !! Incompetence is clearly acceptable from HRNZ employees but an amateur or Junior gets hammered?? Ranga, we wait with baited breath to see what absolute BS comes out or they may bring out nothing! Very transparent!

Maybe not Mikie! However, Mr Holden acceptance of it, shows just how vulnerable harness is, if our new temporary/permanent CEO is prepared to fold! Harness needs a leader and not someone who is just filling a seat one day a week! What action is taking place to ensure that racing continues?

Being based near the Petone TAB hasnt helped harness getting any favours from it! Pathetic effort in accepting the TAB paying out in arrears! Heez harness is so lucky to nave such a skilled negotiator

What is the yes and what is the no?

Why on earth does the TAB have head to heads for gallops both NZ and overseas, and yet we dont get any on harness? Headies on gallops from Gore and even Bendigo in Oz! This Winsurance that they are running appears to be a load of crock, and would be interesting to see how much harness punters are actually Wagering on it? What I would suggest the TAB actually does, is talk to punters as to what they want to wager on! Mr Phil Holden as the CEO of HRNZ needs to go into bat for harness before the industry goes into oblivion!

So we don’t have a right to any privacy Ranga? So someone buys a Product with cash, and the supplier always gets a name of who they supplied to? So, the TAB don’t care who the customer is if the punter is only small time but should they want to win more than $1k, we can not have that, without knowing who they are! They could be money launderers even though they have only spent $20!!!!! The fact is Ranga, when the TAB is limiting punters to only net $200 on a bet, they are killing the industry big time. If they werent bailed out by the NZ taxpayer they would all be out of a job!

Why a backstreet Bookmaker? The NZ TAB is doing a very poor job considering they have a monopoly on the racing and sports betting industry in NZ! The fact is that with the way they are acting as supposed Bookmaking, they may well be better off going back to Tote betting only!! The reality is that the TAB will not take on any risk now and are going to ruin racing in NZ!

Hunter, apart from poor odds, even if you want a bet, they limit you to be only sble to bet a couple of hundred dollars most often!,, Not worth the effort now, and Phil Holden stated that he wanted to DRIVE TURNOVER!!!
