Galah, on the 8th April I didn’t have any problem apart from the fact that they were slow in closing the border and others should’ve been quarantined. Since the no.s have dropped to single figures she has totalling stuffed up and is doing far more damage to everyone’s life, that needed. I am not going to continue on about this, as there are clearly some that think that she walks on water. Let us see what happens over the next month and then come back to me, and confirm that Brodie is wrong and our esteemed leader was right!!!! .

Ok Galah, gullible may have been the wrong word! Maybe plain dumb might be more accurate. It has been leaked that the Government is expecting 300,000 new benefit applications!! So yeah what a fantastic job Ardern has done, and when the shite hits the fan you will know heaps of people who are going to be living on $300 odd per week and trying to find someone who will employ them! Good luck with that, but that is all good, our amazing leader was right in going for weeks longer than she needed to, but everyone is just so refreshed. Does anyone know if any of the group races are going to be run at all, or is there no money to be able to run them? I have heard that the Oaks is not going to be run this year, so those with good 3 year old fillies don’t get to race for black print or a reasonable stake! Will certainly be good to get NZ racing back and think it’s starts tomorrow with the Greyhounds! Hopefully,it’s onwards and upwards for racing as it should never have been closed down. Oz didn’t shut there racing down and they have done a lot better than what we have and their government didn’t crucify the economic sector, like Ardern has and she still controls the sheep that want to listen to her BS!!

People are safer outside in the sun at the beach than what they are inside cooped up! Yeah we are so lucky that the police are sorting out people that want to be out of the house for a change enjoying the sun and fresh air before Winter. Mehe, the Brodster May be many things, but never boring,, The Covid19 virus has not killed a single person in NZ under 60 years of age! It has not killed anyone in NZ that has reasonable health!!! We have not got the same strain of Covid19 that Italy and the U.S.A has got and conditions are different. A virologist in Auckland has stated that this is not a killer virus at all, it is a middle of the road virus. The influenza that will come in Winter here, will kill far more people. Covid19 in NZ will be responsible for the deaths of far more people that don’t actually get Covid19. You are clearly very gullible and easily led Mehe if you think this Virus in NZ is deadly!! How many people do you know who have had this virus and been crook with it? There are 6 people in hospital for the whole of NZ and none in ICU, you are being conned!!

Problem is that we are being controlled by a government that has got absolutely no compassion for the people that are the only thing that can get this country out of the shite that has occurred. Our Covid positive no.s are about 1200 and we have had 20 deaths and all geriatric elderly with underlying issues which should not be counted as anything. They died with the virus Rather than thru the virus and it is only being counted for numbers so that this govt. can scare us. There has been something like 150,000 negative tests so this is just blatant stupidity that most people are being financially crucified. I hate to think what happens when we get a bad virus because this Covid19 in NZ is not one!!!!

Happy, the thing with racing in Australia is that you can race so much more often, and place your horses far better than here. If you have an average horse then you are constantly racing against better horses generally and very hard to make it pay. In Oz if you aren’t good enough to race in Sydney or Melbourne you can go to Queensland or at a last resort South Australia or Tassie. Yeah, The Jewels needs to be put on hold for probably 10 years, as it is a big hole for money and will always lose money. Hopefully we will have enough horses ready to race by the end of May and then throughout the Winter. Very interesting times for everyone and everyone that is prepared to put their money into having a horse in work deserves every bit of success, hopefully it is shared around though!

Blossom, to be fair at the moment you couldn’t blame him with the crap that is going on for most people. Sone of our biggest names in racing have been under this cloud for Such a long time and no sign of it being resolved for a while and is costing people hundreds of thousands. Unfortunately for the harness racing industry, there have been just so many decisions made that are just blatantly ridiculous it is not funny. These have come from HRNZ, RIU and the TAB!!! All along these people have been pulling in big salaries which can not be justified by the decisions that have become detrimental to harness racing. Many of these people wouldn’t know how to run a successful business however because they have come from another institution, they must be good, so we lay them big money. Word is that Mr Allen who stood down was being paid well in excess of $500k which is more than our Prime Minister, not that she deserves it either by her decisions. The TAB in the first week of lockdown put their handout to the taxpayer because they say their turnover is going to reduce?. Most of these bigwigs don’t give an eff about racing whatsoever, it is all about themselves, how they can look good and what company they can move onto next, that pays them even more for doing next to nothing. It is time that these bigwigs in the racing industry perform or piss off, because despite what some are saying, racing is stuffed and it is due to many of the decisions that they have made!!!!!

I would be pretty sure that the AllStars will setup a stable in Australia in the next year as the stakes here are not going to be what they are used to winning. There is no way that harness can support the stake money that they have been putting up for for group racing, as the punting dollar is going to get an absolute hammering! Reality is that the strain of this virus has been extremely weak and has not caused any real distress to anyone’s health in NZ apart from the frail people in rest homes. Media and Ardern have made this out to be far worse than what it is and has killed many businesses unfortunately and that will affect harness racing indefinitely. The fact is that this virus is only a middle of the road virus according to a virologist from Auckland and what happens when our annual flu hits us in June? If we have something like this again, where we have lockdown and racing curtailed then unfortunately it will be the death knell for harness racing in NZ. Why was racing in NZ needed to be cancelled when Australia with a far larger population has not had any interruption to it whatsoever? Reason is simple, we are now being dictated to by a socialist leader who doesn’t give a rats about business people and wants to bring them all down. Sooner people in NZ see that the better or the country is doomed

If Mark and Natalie are co corned about Racing then what do you think every other trainer should be thinking? If the AllStars are worried about making a dollar then yes the racing industry is effed! Every season the AllStars stable plunder the stakes in the big races and leaves very little for every other owner and trainer! Not putting them down and have always just stated that racing is suffering due to their domination and it isn’t going to get any better while they maintain a stable in NZ. What this pandemic BS will do is drop everything except the salaried dickheads at RITA. Owner no.s, trainer no.s , stake money, will drop substantially and will I believe be very sobering as people drop out of the racing there won’t be anyone coming into it. You could tell that Nat wanted to not pull any punches but Mark was trying to keep her a bit subdued. If I wore a hat I would take it off to them for expressing their opinion the way they did. Lets just hope we are all wrong and things are not as bad as they appear, but certainly wouldn’t be offloading anything on that at the mo. Let’s get NZ harness up and going again as over the Oz stuff every bloody day.

Interesting that The AllStars stable are looking at sending a dozen horses to Auckland for racing in September October and possibly back to ChCh for Cup Week. Yes Auckland will need their field numbers boosted a bit, but I am sure now that there will be many horses up there worked up and sold as they will be racing for the scraps in the bigger stakes races. It is going to be a very interesting year coming up, and hopefully harness racing can get through this BS, Hopefully Brodie is wrong, but I do feel that there are many things that are at play that are going to be Very detrimental to harness racing going forward.
