  1. That is not what I asked for Tonkatime. What I asked for was the information that says that they had a problem with the harness whip use! Where does it say anything about the Animal Rights wanting the harness whip rules changed???? No where at all Tonkatime and I do know that it was in the media that stated that ANIMAL Rights did not have the harness use of the whip in their discussions whatsoever!! !! Whoever states that Brodie is making it up is blatantly telling porkies and that includes Basil!
  2. Tonkatime, show me the facts that you say that Animal Rights had a problem with the whip use on harness horses! !!
  3. Basil, ok where is your information in writing that SAFE have their eyes on harness whip use??????? Thats right you have made it up. They stated that the harness whip use was not on their radar, when the current rule came in!!!! That is damn fact and you know It!!!
  4. Noticed that as well Happy. Does seem a tad light when non Winners are racing for $11,500 the same night. Realkty is that our better horses are being sold overseas as there is bugger all racing for them, and when they are racing they are only running for minor stake money anyway. It is not going to be any different from now on either this year.
  5. You can piss off too! !
  6. FFS, I am not going to continue answering you Rangatira, you are an absolute XXXXXXX. It was in the damn media when the current rule was brought in, and the Animal Rights group stated that the harness racing usage of the whip was not on their hit list. Get a life, stop trying to have Brodie on, because you are only an antagonist from the Darkside and I can’t be bothered with them, as that site is clearly dieing! You can talk to yourself because I have had a gutsful of your shite, I need to sort out the winners for Thursday night. Far more productive than your crap Ranga flippen Tira!
  7. No, they said that they had no issues with the whip being used in harness racing!!! They had other things on their agenda!
  8. He is down as a 4 year old entire with the TAB!!!! Not a Horse!!!!
  9. Not at all. The Harness Rule was fine the way it was and HRNZ reacted after the Ozzie’s brought in the banning of the whip, over there. That has now been overturned I believe, just as the current rule here needs seriously looking at!!
  10. Yes he did use the whip too much on Jack Frost when he had the field covered. I am not going to comment on thoroughbred Racing as it is for punters who can not make money on harness racing! Lol However, I reiterate the harness rule needs overhauling as many drivers have been fined or suspended for no good reason, and it has happened far too many times!
  11. Why is it a thread? Because the TAB had Stunin Luck down as an ENTIRE!!!!!!!! Why isn’t he registered as a HORSE then if that is the NORM???????? Surely it should be one or the other if they are BOTH THE SAME!!!!
  12. Don’t bother with Thoroughbred Racing, too hard to follow! Have not got a problem with suspending drivers if they do punish a horse too severely, but the current whip rule is ludicrous and unjustified. The no. Needs to come out of it and go back to previous rule that was working just fine!
  13. Winter will never be over for you Kotare, you are always Doom and Gloom and stirring!
  14. Yes somewhat close Kotare! They changed it from excessive use of the whip to using the whip in excess of the permitted. This clearly shows that they have erred in bringing in the rule with a no. On it and don’t agree that it is right, so they have changed the terminology Kotareboy!
  15. Kotare, I keep scrolling and I don’t seem to be able to find the answer!! What is your answer, if you have one?
  16. Yes I know it has been done before, but FFS it is such a dumb rule it has to be dumped! Just Watched Race 2 at Oamaru and Leo O’Reilly got done for using the whip in excess of the permitted no. of 10. On Flying Master Williams Leo is not known for being a heavy user of the whip, previously as far as I am aware and I don’t believe he has been on this occasion either. The horse only got out the last bit and yes Leo did give the horse a few to try and do its best but certainly wasn’t 10 hits one after the other or excessive whatsoever. He gets a holiday for trying on a horse that has been around a long and wants to win a race!!!! Harness NZ admit that you have made an error of judgement in bringing this damn stupid rule in and put it back to what it was before, which worked just fine. Animal Rights had no problem with the way the whip, was being used in harness in NZ. What happens in Oz is what should happen here, forget about trying to be PC and run the industry the way it should be!!!!
  17. Andrew is out of a job at the moment as he is in Scotland at the mo. Matthew Peden has been doing the selections.
  18. Normally the stallions are called horses on the harness info but just wondered why every now and again they have one as an entire? Not a major but you would think that they should get rid of one or the other? Suppose it is better to be an entire rather than a rig!
  19. So what makes Stunin Love an entire, rather than a horse?
  20. Stunin Luck went awful as I didn’t rate it much as it hadn’t been going good enough to be a $2 shit. Someone lost a packet on the tote on it as well as it was paying even less than that for most of the day. Alexy went alright as well and looked value at $2.50 a place Fixed on opening, with Ricky in the cart.
  21. Not a major, but I notice that Stunin Love in the last race at Oamaru today is down as being a 4 year old e! An e stands for an entire which means he isn’t two stones lighter! They used to always call the male horses over 3 years of age horses if they hadn’t been gelded! Has this now changed or is there something I am not aware of?
  22. Shit, I wasn’t on the money then, I called it Stunnin Cullen lol. It did win well when it did win at Addington awhile back, but wasn’t that impressive in its trial or workout at Rangiora, or,its run firstup down south!
  23. You are dead correct in regards to the Micharl House runners Richie. They perform at Manawatu far better than Canterbury and there have already been money to be made betting against them. ThinknStunnin Cullen is major unders in the last at $2 on what it has shown this time in, hopefully no egg on the face as I am always on the money. Alexy looks the place bet in that with Ricky on and it has been going good races and got good draw! Has shortened up a bit but still looks ok at $2.
  24. Newmarket, of course I am on the money. I opened an account at Centrebet and that became William Hill and now has become Beteasy! How could you ever doubt Brodie?????
  25. Look how well she went though in the tighter class race! Clearly has plenty of trotting ability once she is under way!
