You have watched the replays no doubt, so you clearly can not read it though!!! Johnny White didn’t run on at all the first day! Maybe in hindsight Matt Anderson could’ve pushed forward the first day and may have been caught out wide and stopped, then he would have been castigated for his drive. No way he would’ve beaten the court’s horse that day by the way both of them ran. Race fixing my arse!

Brodie is usually always on the money, and as think you will find that this Inca thing is certainly been overhyped. I am aware that certain charged people were setup and I am not too sure how legal this actually is in a court of law? What I find extremely hard to understand is why Dexter has not been asked to return to NZ to answer charges, as I beleive Dexter and Blair were the two that were originally the first so-called offenders to race fixing! If the prosecutors have substantial evidence against them then how on earth are they both still driving??? Arsenic, clearly by your name you have had some issues in your life, but being toxic towards hardworking people without any evidence is not that becoming to tell the truth. You may well be right, hopefully you are not, but the sooner the better that the evidence is produced the better!!!!

This is dragging on for a ridiculous length of time,but I fortunately this is the NZ law system. There have been all sorts of rumours going around and some are probably true and some are probably not! From what I have read and then watched race replays, there is absolutely nothing in it whatsoever, however ai am not privy to any telephone recordings. The so-called Johnny White races at Nelson, there is totally nothing wrong with it. First day Johnny White would never have beaten the Court runner Whether it was in front or not. Second day after being lambasted by several people for going back on the first day, Matt Anderson decided to go forward and lead. Every race there are drivers that drive horses different to what they previously have!!!!! The sooner the better that the so-called evidence is produced the better! I do not beleive that there will be many that get found guilty and as you know Brodie is always on the money, if not this time then Brodie has egg on his face!!!

Great to see a young Kiwi win this event once again and doing it in OZ! The reality is that many Junior races would not be held if it wasn’t for females nowadays! Many occasions half the fields for junior drivers are now females and they generally do a pretty good job of it. Without female stablehands trainers days would be a lot longer. Hopefully girls will continue to come into the industry as without them it would be more of a struggle!

Tonkatime, What was the bet? was it a 4K win bet on harness racing?????? Yes you can get plenty on sports betting! Yes you can get money on Gallops no problem! Yes they take win bets on harness racing well aware Do they take plenty from winning punters who bet on harness??? No they don’t unless they have changed their rules! Gopefully they have.

I also agree that if a mare has returned a positive to being in foal, then there should be some onus on the trainer to advise the punters, early enough before they offload! What is the point just befire the race? In Oz they always advise change of driving tactics! Here very often there are a change in tactics but nothing is ever said. I don’t believe that HRNZ will enforce this, as it involves a bit of work, and it js also easier to leave as is and just ensure that drivers don’t use the whip more than 10 times!

Flagship, as a punter I like the passing lane, as I would hate to not get a run when in the trail. Auckland Racing as a spectacle is a bit non existent and with the Auckland Cup meeting coming up, it is not going to be any better due to the one stable dominance.

Auckland Harness is extremely boring nowadays. You can’t come from the back, and most drivers apart from the leading ones just sit until the straight!

Happy, you are correct, everyone has their own methods. I never take erotics, bugger I meant exotics!!! To consistently make money you need to put in effort and have ability to assess horses and drivers. I know people who do put in plenty of effort but don’t make money. Plenty of people can back plenty of winners but to consistently win, you can not be betting on every race. Pick and choose and if the odds are right, then don’t bother! The TAB rely on the mug punters to make money and that is why successful punters are heavily restricted!

At least you wouldn’t lose money Newmarket when YOU don’t wager! Once the TAB begins to make it fairer to the punter I will be back in! At the end of the day Newmarket, they need punters so they can make money, whereas I don’t, so they are the losers!!

To be fair the TAB have made it much harder nowadays as the odds that they offer on opening are generally less than fair, so doesn’t encourage early investing! When they do lenghthen out it tends to be too late unless you are sitting at the TAB or oncourse. Providing you put the time in, it isn’t hard to make money on harness racing !

This Punters Lounge is meant to be designed to increase the wagering on Harness Racing apparently. What I suggest NZ TAB to do this, is to lift betting restrictions on punters! After all it is nearly Xmas time! Please advise us when the restrictions have been taken off!!

Professional punting Andrew? I am sure with extra time on your hands you would do fine, until they try to shut you down! Must admit your HRNZ tips weren’t too bad on most occasions, and I am sure things will work out fine for you as you are pretty entrepreneurial!

Extremely quiet on the investing in recent times Newmarket, as I just can’t be bothered with poor odds and restrictions, it just not worth my time although I do,have too much spare time now! If I can get decent amounts on and the odds are reasonable then I will be back in!! What I don’t like about the punters comp is the compulsion to have to wager on every single race! To my mind that is not the best way of investing but rules are rules And you have to run with them! Well done to everyone that participated and all the best to the winners when they go to Vegas, It will be a very difficult challenge punting on those damn gallopers and especially when you have no idea on how the horses run! Be a great trip though!

I think it is great that the TAB were taking all bets! Why don’t they do this all year round, rather than treating their customers like criminals ? Yes I will be in boots and all next year if they are going to allow all bets!!!!

Reality is that the current whip rule is blatantly stupid. Reality is that Jamie did give Copperhead Rose an absolute hammering with the whip and was swinging and hitting as hard as I have seen in quite awhile, and only got a warning! Reality is that many drivers have been charged and found guilty for not being as hard on their horse as Jamie was! Reality is that Copperheads Rose only won because of Jamie’s vigorous use of the whip! Reality is that the whip does make horses run faster and for longer without doubt! Without the whip horses like Gammalite and Pure Steel would not have been champions!!!! From a punting perspective I want my driver to be using the whip to a certain degree to get the best out of the horse that I have invested on! Reality is that the current rule needs amending to make it fair for everyone, and the no. of hits is not the correct answer!
