Seriously in this day and age $500 is hardly a large bet! Yes it is more than what most wager but it is hardly a significant amount! The NZ TAB need to be encouraging wagering as it is he punters that are going to keep harness racing going in NZ! The punters that wager a few dollars each week are going to move on and there are not many new ones coming through! Let the punters on for what is reasonable as they put the odds up, so take them!

Not sure how the NZ Fixed Odds systems works nowadays! Doesn’t seem to be a pattern to when they alter fixed odds at all! A fixed odd can be say $10 from the time the odds are put up until not long before the race starts! Seems very weird that if the horse is worth a go the punters have not had a go well before near race time????? What I do know is last night at Addington the Presenters were quoting the large bets that were on, that was the reason for slashing the fixed odds! Bets of $500 @ $1.75 lol lol lo lol lol unbelievable!! Shit $500, WOW, I wouldnt be wasting my time if that is how some punters offload! How on earth is $500 a big bet??????

The effects of the jabs have caused huge medical conditions to the recipients since the jabs and will do so in the future! You are correct! Although the horse has been previously trained by an Amateur trainer, it has shown nothing for years. There was a lot of money go on it by the look of it for last Sunday’s race. Yes it won a trial at Rangiora, but it was flat out to win that against a couple of poor horses! Personally wouldve had to grow a couple of legs to be competitive in that race as it has absolutely very little speed or toughness. There should never have been any questions asked about Pocket Call’s performance as it is not a racing proposition in NZ.

Walt, the truth is that the Pfizer jab is not a vaccine and never will be. The reality is that people were conned into getting it becausevthey called it a Vaccine. If you look at the facts that have come out from Pfizer but not published on mainstream media, you would never ever have taken the toxic jabs. Paleface, you are correct the stake money for harness racing has gone backwards hugely compared to Australia, Horses are able to be place much easier and there is little prospect of things improving in NEW ZEALAND with the decisions being made by hierarchy. Hopefully things can be maintained here as harness racing is an exciting industry when things were going well here. There have been many decisions made that has been detrimental to racing and I can see many participants pull stumps in the next few years!

Totally baffled as to who would have been stupid enough to be backing POCKET CALL? Totally hopeless for a long time and was not worth racing it, although the trainer/ driver wouldnt exactly rate in my top 10 drivers. Yes it won at the Rangiora trials but it was full out to beat the other couple and they are both pretty poor horses. On that trial run unless it improved a ton, then there was very little chance of it being in the money. Matt Purvis is a very good trainer and always improves horses that are not going very well, but personally can not see Pocket Call being a profitable venture as it is one paced and is well past its best, by the look of it.

Just how good was The Fiery Ginga? He was one tough horse, imagine him with Paul Nairn or the Dunns! Was actually not a bad days racing if you were selective with what races you invested on! There is always money to be made on the Sunday meetings at Addington. Not sure why Reformed was so short when it is more a short course horse and not very brave. Megarock did look the one due to the way it went last start and what it had done at Addington over 2600m earlier in the year in far better fields! $15 opening was great price so Keep up the good work Bookies!

Boobs, I always talk sense, and disappointed that you do not agree with Brodie every time! Of course it is a conflict of interest and you would be pretty silly to be paying any Tip Line! If the tippers were any good then why would they need to get income from the Tip Line? Is there anyone on BOAY that has actually rung tip lines and how did you go??

Be surprised if it was returned to air as I have heard HRNZ weren’t exactly for it! Well done for at least having a go but needs money thrown at it and where that is going to come from is a problem as they wont get from the NZ TAB. Jason Teaz did a good job under difficult circumstances I would say and the human interest interviews are far better than getting crap races from Timbuktu! Wonder if Jason is prepared to air his views on the possibility of the show making a return?

Trackside hasnt improved over the years to much degree. The way they have wall to wall racing is an absolute turnoff for most people unless they are a compulsive out of control gambler. When they have racing from Japan on the same channel as NZ night harness, you can see where the NZ TAB priorities lie! Who the hell knows anything about Japanese gallopers a d the commentators are just so boring along with the racing! Harness racing as an entertainment leaves the gallops and dogs for dead and yet Trackside doesn't portray it as such. They quickly leave a race to show us some overweight people walking greyhounds to the boxes in some Australian outback! Personally do not give a Rat’s what The Trackside presenters think will run well, as if they had any ability with selections they would not need to be presenting! The best presenters of harness like Sheldon Murtha and Justin Le Lievre were given the do not come Monday a long time ago, At the end of the day if you find that the Trackside presenters were good to follow then that is your perogative. Do not think that they add any value by tipping out half the field and should stick to talking about the race. Nigel Armstrong and Racing Unhinged adds a helluva lot more interest at Addington than hearing about what a so called lending analyst in NZ likes! Not being personal, just think that if you were that good, you would not need to be a paid employee of the TAB as it is “CONFLICT OF INTEREST”.

Would be interesting to know how many are actually prepared to pay money for his tips? From what I have heard is that he has early access to back what he wants! Then he must put his tips on his tipline! Then he puts some of them on “Whale Watch”! Then he tips them on Trackside! I am sure he is a great likeable bloke, but personally do not think it is in the best interests of harness racing!

Fair enough then, having poor tipsters fronting Trackside! Surely though this must piss off the viewers that dont want to pick their own horses, when the supposed leading ANALYST in NEW ZEALAND is not flash? If he can not pick winners then how can I, they must think, and we lose them from punting! The Trackside presenters may be knowledgeable and do their homework but if you paid them for their tipping success, then they wouldnt be getting much!

Unfortunately the abysmally poor decisions made by our elected government has made everything about NEW ZEALAND worse. Mental Health issues is huge and increasingly will get worse due to extended lockdowns, people struggling with financial and partnership issues due to the total over reaction to Covid19 mild virus. The flu is bigger issue currently in hospitalisations and yet the effwits are still trying to get even more toxins into you. What part of having the shite in you weakens your immune system, do people not understand?

Seriously, what is the point of tonights Trackside Presenter tipping the public horses??? He is from the North Island and he is less than average with his tips at Addington!! Race 2 he once again tipped Ken Baron’s trotter who really had very little chance of paying a dividend. It has been mentioned many times that he is the country’s leading analyst, but if you are an enthusiast you would know that this is rubbish! I am sure he puts a lot of study in but no offence, I am not convinced that he is actually tipping the horses that he likes!!! As has been discussed previously, he should not be on Trackside even though it is Trackside’s decision to employ him! It is not right that he has an 0900 tipline, wagers on those same horses and also fronts Trackside with his tips! In many harness races, a horse will stand out like Dogs Bxxxx to run in the money and yet the Trackside Presenter does not tip it, it is as if they dont want the public to back it!! If you followed the tipsters picks you would be down the gurgler!! Not trying to be personal and it is your choice whether you follow the tips or not, but unless there is a Purdon horse in the race then I wouldnt be touching it!

At this stage I probably wont have a go on the amateurs either. I sort them out and if they are too short I dont bother. They are harder to get big wins now as the Bookies open too short mostly and dont bother changing unless there is someone having a crack. Still easy enough to make money but just need to be patient eith what you back.
