Not sure why but does anyone know why the 2 AllStars 2 year old maiden fillies are in race 6 against race winners? Surely they couldve started in race 3 against non winners and a far easier field than race 6. Interesting as well that the race 6 with multiple winners stake money is less than the non winners race! Not questioning AllStars ability to put their horses in the best race, but to my mind they are going to have to be better than what they have shown to win race 6. They have shown a wee bit but at this stage neither look like top fillies, although I am sure many will disagree. There are a couple in race 6 that can run time so it is going to be interesting 🤔

BRODIE... YOUR PRAYERS HAVE BEEN ANSWERED... YOU CAN GET MORE ON!!!
Brodie replied to Davis's topic in Trotting Chat
Depends who you are as to how much they let you on for! Punters are not treated equally, used to be but they havent been for many years now! If you are a known losing punter then they are more than happy to take their bets, but show any ability to win and they will quickly chop you off!! They tend to take bigger bets on Sports as that is where they tend to make the most money and costs them very little. I did think it was a bit odd last night when it was posted that the NZ TAB was going to be KIND and let any punter net $2k on any bet! I did say I would believe it when I saw it and it appears Brodie was on the money! Hope they do make it on any bet but doubt they will as they want everything in their favour!!! -

So it is only fixed win bets, NOT Place etc!!!! They need to grow some!! Not beneficial to “The Brodster” at all . Good for some punters though -

Looks like it is only on Fixed Win bets! Nothing else so Na it isnt as good as it first appeared! Come on NZ TAB, open it up to every bet! Play fair the odds are always on your side!,, -

Michael Guerin says any bet $2k net! So it should be as well. -

This is why the TAB should be allowing punters on for bigger amounts. The restrictions are partly to blame for harness racing going backwards and it is long overdue to be encouraging punters on. Yes they will lose sometimes but that is good for them as they will get it back in spades if they introduce new punters into the fray. At the moment they are driving punters away in to get a better gross yield. Stupid business plan that is! -

Gamma, it says ANY BET, so not just fixed win bets! This is long overdue if they want to keep harness racing alive. -

Yes the amount you can net on a winning bet. Different punters have different level of restrictions They turn punters off with their restrictions so hopefully this isnt a load of bull, because they need punters ! Yes only restrictions on Fixed Odds and have not heard of restricted punters on Sports betting but there probably are. -
Worst named horse in NZ! Why would you seriously????
Brodie replied to Brodie's topic in Trotting Chat
Fair point, but to be fair Ardern has certainly not acted in the best interest of every citizen of NZ over the past 4 years or so!!!!!! The most incompetent Prime Minister this country has ever seen and is ably assisted by a bunch of useless muppets!!!! -

So that means that our restrictions will be raised to $2k on our accounts? Will believe it when it happens, So top 4 on account we can net 2k? Would be far better than limit of $20 lol -

Good news, Has this started yet? How about also increasing the AML limit to $2k as well so we dont have to identify ourselves or is that asking too much I aint money laundering anything at $1K ! -
Very fair comments indeed! I havent bothered at either meeting tonight Auckland or Addington! Just can not see anything worth having a go at! Unfortunately with all the racing at Addington the Bookies have the odds too short when they open them up and leave them at the same odds for far too long!!!!!! When you have 5 horses paying under $2 top 3, then it is just not worth the effort!!!! Fields too small so no one wants to offload. Race 6 the tightest class race has $2,908 on the tote win pool with 5 minutes to close!!! You can not tell me that harness betting is in a good position!

UPDATE: On STUFF so must be true! Nasty Rumour Doing the Rounds
Brodie replied to Chief Stipe's topic in Trotting Chat
Personally believe the comment from the Detective Sergeant is such a stupid comment! “Trainers are in a position of power and really need to take a hard look at what they are doing to ensure a safe workplace” Where on earth did this BS come from???? What has this specifically got to do with harness trainers??? How have they got all this power over employees any different to other vocations????? This seems to be an isolated case as I havent heard of all these harness trainers taking advantage sexually of its employees before??? Harness once again is being victimised in the media and it is high time that the participants stand up to these bullies. No I do not condone any ill doing, but FFS this Detective Sergeant should not be spurting out BS! -
Timaru on Sunday averages 12 per race and less stake money? Hard to fathom with the travelling costs etc. Far better punting opportunities on Sunday so mot sure what is going on?
-
Only 77 starters currently for 9 races at Addington is a bit of a shame. With several races with 7 or 8 starters doesnt exactly make for a great night of racing does it? We know the North Island racing is buggered but why is Addington no.s right down? With the cost of training you would think that owners would want to be lining up at Australasias best course bar none? Hopefully this is not a sign of what is going to happen over Winter or the punters will probably be turned out as well!
-
He did say he was training gallopers but because I dont follow the cartless ones whatsoever, I wouldnt know how many he has trained or is currently training? His insinuation was that he may get out of harness in favour of the gallopers, Chief.
-
Yes we do need more people coming thru all the ranks, punters, owners, trainers and drivers! Without any of them then racing is finished. House has insinuated that he may well jump ship to the gallopers in the future, so watch this space! Certainly wouldnt be as hard as training standardbreds, as anyone can be a galloping trainer!!!!
-
Na. Great to see her pace all the way from the UNRULY which is where she needs to stay and not be allowed back into the draw! Put back on the front line and racing in a field and she will gallop again! To be fair you would have thought she shouldve won yesterday as it was the WEAKEST MAIDEN FIELD IN HISTORY! All the reasonable horses were in the Graduation Final! There will never be a weaker maiden field in Canterbury ever!!!! It has speed and some stamina but not the brain capacity to be a successful racehorse worth persevering with for financial reasons!

Brodie replied to Brodie's topic in Trotting Chat
The Commie supporters are the ones that have been more adversely affected by the nilness of this incompetent lot! Fortunately even many of the brainwashed are deserting them. Reality the pain that they are going to feel is nowhere near what it is going to be over the next year. I am not saying that National are as good as they used to be however they do have many that are not totally useless! All this lot has achieved is 100% failure and still hard to believe there were enough DICKHEADS who thought they deserved another 3 years to push the country into further trouble. -
I am bound to be wrong at some stage, however personally can not see him continuing to win. The slushy track suited him last night and will have to wait and see how he goes on a good track ar Addington. There have been some rough going pacers over the years but they dont tend to end up as topliners! Dick Caskey had a shockingly rough going one, Torle I think it was but all of his were rough as lol

Brodie replied to Brodie's topic in Trotting Chat
Good News! The worst named horse in New Zealand named after the worst Prime Minister ever has to have a name change. Common sense has prevailed as it is very bad taste to allow a horse named after her!!!!! The article said the owners thought she had a nice smile lol 😂 Maybe they could rename it something like Horse Head? -
You are correct it certainly helps greatly but it was a gutsy run by it though! Will be interesting to see how it goes when the track is fast as I very much doubt it could pace like that on a hard track and win against good nags! Appeared to possibly be a bit sore or maybe that is what it normally does?
-
Very tough win by Franco Marek and sin is all he had to do. Rough going pacer and the wet track helped him tonight. While the tracks are soft he will go well lets see whether he goes on a hard track?
-
What ks wrong with having music over the top of the hosts speaking? Teething problems so it must get better you would think?

Look it can only go one way! Good to see Jason Teaz on it but unfortunate beginning and Jason looks so embarrassed . Great idea but dont think too many will be watching channel 83 for the actual race
