  1. Did consider going to court today, while it would have been interesting, i didnt think they needed more eyes on them at a difficult time. None i would call mates, but a few i have met on several occasions. And before anyone asks, no i have never texted, called or been given a tip from them.
  2. Strange that so many still want name suppresion, its been splashed all over the media, everyone knows who they are, yet they are still fighting, bizzare. Have to give Andrew Stuart a bit of credit for not battling for name suppresion. Now, here is my thinking on this. If i was arrested, and was innocent, i would want this quickly dealt with, name is known so what is the use of name suppresion, so some sort of normality can resume. If i was arrested, but guilty, well yes, i would fight for name suppresion, lawyer would be buying time, trying every trick in the book to find loopholes to weasle out. Going to be a long drawn out process, that is gonna cost heaps in lawyers bills, but i suppose it is your job, which pays the family bills.
  3. Is old news by the time you read it Globe, but hot off the press when i posted, because now it has been taken down. Dont take it personally globe, but truth has to come out, you cant keep living in a 70 year old bubble and pretending its not happening, which by the stories on here, its always happened, its crooked. And ive had enough of it
  4. But maybe he can assist?
  5. Your spot n Taka, assisting seems to be the word. Strange thing, it seems info on Andrew Stuart has now been taken off stuff?
  6. Did say over $1000
  7. A bit of info
  8. Brodie, for somebody who tells everybody your on the money, you let yourself down. Its irrelevant how much he stood to profit, if proven its a terrible look for the game. Do you think he did it all by himself?? Who else was involved, how much for them. Come on, your making yourself look bloody stupid, from your first post on this thread.
  9. Already details about Andrew Stuart, more than one race in question. Far more to come
  10. Depends who tells i suppose. Lets put it this way, if a race has been set up, its hardly only a few involved is there. Be a wider group betting, so lets see what info cops have. No doubt they will be looking at betting from all agencies in aus as well, could take a while. Could be the best thing that ever happens to canterbury harness
  11. I see Brent Wall has appeared in court, pleaded not guilty, as i am sure others will too. Looking into Sportscaster race, 22nd May. The race i posted, which shows driver nearly falling out of cart looking for fav to come around.
  12. By all reports, it seems Addington figures around same as previous years. Winton up slightly
  13. Jess, I have heard nothing about the TB man, so Wont comment on that. But as we have seen around the world, many want to win while gambling at all cost. Throw in a truckload of drugs, young mates that think they are bullet proof, and this is what you get. Will be interesting to see who spreads the beans from those arrested. I dont think they should take the brunt of it, tell the truth.
  14. Dave Mcarthy wrote an article about early nz racing. Saying how the early tote staff closed races late, allowing mates to win money. Also tales of dividends being smaller than what they should be, all types of things.
  15. Not been to hornby club for years, suppose mainly due to not betting much with tab anymore. What about these 2 pics of tote windows at riccarton & addington. Something about that old tote building at addington, warm summer night, walking to have a bet, then a wee walk back to the track once reons voice kicked in. I love using a device, but that tote was great.
  16. Good guys both of them, both could have a laugh. I remember the old tab across the road beside park, before moving to richmond club
  17. Some great tales here of setting up a race, im sure most of us could tell some great stories, But really it just shows how crooked harness is, we have always known some punters, depending on who they were related to, or who their mates were, had an advantage over others when it comes to punting. Should have stopped it years ago, i think its just natural for some in the game to cheat
  18. Pete Stoop, did he have the richmond club tab before hornby? If so he was lucky, quake put paid to richmond tab
  19. I would say drugs & race fixing, over 20. Just my view
  20. Have to interview sometimes before arrested. I would be very surprised if only 11 arrested. Good to see police looking closely on Nelson racing.
  21. I dont want to do Garrick out of a job, but i have done my own digging. Amazing who has been interviewed, i have names but wont mention, but it is across the board in the harness game. Will say this, they all seem to be mates of mates, relations or tied up in other ways. I suppose this was always going to be a problem for canterbury with such a close knit group.
  22. Hey Garrick, the news you had, was it the 71yo arrest, or something else. Ta
  23. Intetesting that the TAB are offering this to new accounts. I wonder who has given the green light for it, never have they been this generous.
  24. A few of us did ask questions about the 2 staff members, a few did confirm they both got fired.
