I see there is a 'pipe burst' preventing irrigation there today after they watered it even on a day when it was wet anyway earlier in the week.

Good 3 rating this morning and afternoon - does that mean it will be a slow 7 on the fence and a fast 1 on the outside?

Here's hoping the dust will be flying!!!

So finally some transparency with Timmy Mills producing a Going Stick map...

..something Ellerslie refused to do

Faster on the bends and more than likely the rail...after a water pipe burst...so no irrigation today

So what the hell does that tell you?  How have you adjusted your bets with the this fantadtical information?

I know my eyesight and memory is being challenged by advancing years but.....is the rail in the "true" position not actually the "true" position as we used to know it?  It looks to me that the width of the turf track has shrunk presumably because it has been consumed by the AWT development on the inner.

Surely once the AWT track is up and running they are going to repair the main track?  Does anyone know if the CJC has indicated they are going to do that?  If so what are they going to do?  Aside from hiring Reefton dairy farmers.

I think you are referring to Omoto.

Omoto used to be like that in days gone by but they made the mistake of letting 'experts' renovate it -predictably they f#*"#d it up.

Lucky for the GJC though Jim Findlay their trackman contacted O'Malley a couple of years back - they got the chisel plough onto it and it is considerably improved.  Not as good as it was but when you let idiots near tracks that is the consequence.

In the state it was in it could never have handles three consecutive  days last season .

Venue Plan is working so very well!!!

That's part of the issue isn't it , a meeting there every 2 weeks almost , so all the clubs forced to move there will have their meetings run on the all weather cause that track isn't gonna improve enough to handle even half the meetings scheduled there .

Like watching a meeting from the outback of aussie . Very disappointing that a so called metropolitan track keeps dishing up shit tracks .

Dunno

Just been talking to the man and he is fairly chipper about the way the track was today.  First half decent track since the middle day of Cup week.

For all that they will make a point, piss irrigation on close to raceday  and turn it into another shit hole in a week or two

FFS shows where our standards have slipped to if the South Islands leading trainer calls that a half decent track.  It was an absolute disgrace for the South Islands premier racecourse.

Where's the plan to fix it?

This track has a Polytrack for training too!

Maybe he's chipper because he won 4 races , but sorry the overheads around the top bend showed how threadbare it is , no idea what the next meeting will be like , simple not acceptable for a metropolitan club .
