I agree with the stripes about some of these comments. As a breeder, if they are not inclined to run, I am not inclined to breed from them. Everyone will be following suit in 10 years anyway when the whip has all but disappeared. Maybe even sooner.

I am flabbergasted that the second best club in the North could or would put up a crap track like that. What’s gone wrong with Te Rapa? Absolutely nothing has gone right for them over the last 3 or 4 years, maybe more.

As an aside, David Ellis actually owns virtually nothing of all the horses that race in the Te Akau name. He does however clip the ticket all the the way through, thus giving him plenty, including a breeding share should the horse go to stud as have plenty. It's actually quite a good and profitable business model considering David doesn't actually put up a cent of his own money to purchase the horses in the first instance.

Vella should definitely give back the funding of $250,000. If he cant get it off his partners [Coolmore] he should at least give back his share. The whole f.....n thing gives me the guts ache, especially the way they NZB and Elle rslie have run roughshod ever over other clubs, particularly the the Wellington Cup carnival which is but a shadow of it's former past, and Avondale. Imagine what $500,000 would do to the stakes if spread throughout the country to the clubs that prop up NZ racing!

The industry certainly contributes. How much I can’t say as I am too far out of the loop these days. However my guess is that it’s a lot more than any of you would suspect, based on what it was when I was close to the coal face.

Guys, those of you who are taking a rest from this site are a pack of whimps in my opinion. I don’t agree with a lot that Thomas posts, but some I do. Barry and Curious, exactly the same. In fact they both get up my nose more than Thomas, but I am not throwing my toys out of the cot, or taking my bat and ball and going home. Bring on open debate. Would you believe that I also think that President Trump has a few sensible ideas even though in general I think that he is almost made and the most polarising man in the world, after Thomas. LOL

The times in the two Group One’s were excellent. The Telegraph time was won in 1.06 and change. Not far off the track record and the record was set on a lightning fast track!! Back then that the winner (and others) probably couldn’t walk freely for 10 days!

Or my favourite horses or trainer arriving into my inbox anymore, even though it worked up until last week and is still there.....because I have at least been able see it and actually add a horse.

This has to be a lesson on how to piss off people and destroy good debate!

Actually I have now found where my favourites are. In fact they are still there from the previous site. However I am not getting notifications because the new site says that my email address is missing and it won’t accept it when I try to enter it! Anyone else having the same problem regarding their email address?

1) I can’t find a link to Trackside Radio. 2) I can’t find where to record my favourite Trainer so that I get an email each day with his list of runners. 3) I can’t find where to list my Blackbooker horses.
