  1. They were bold runs by both. Great to see.
  2. The law. Chief Stipe suggest a way they mightn’t be. With your extreme knowledge you tell me why they are not.
  3. I think that it’s pretty accurate to say that Allan Jackson hired him.
  4. I signed up, but you get a lot of emails about a lot of crap between the few they are worth reading. I also think that he’s a little wide of the mark. The Janes McDonald episode last week being a case in point. Actually how he’s not being charged with bringing racing into disrepute I don’t know.
  5. That’s if they weren’t total screwed last preparation which I suspect they were. I guess one of us will be closer to the mark than the other. I hope that it’s you as I have a vested interested in Reliable Man and the two horses in question could have been a wonderful advertisement for him. Sadly I think that it’s now the opposite.
  6. Sadly Avondale are now screwed, subject to a law change. They have been given an olive branch in the new dates calendar. Basically (and sadly) they either work something out with Ellerslie or wither up and die with nothing left whatsoever. It’s impossible to beat the law of the land in my humble opinion. Changing the law would be a small chance, but they (Avondale) will run out of money before that happens. I don’t think any future government will be interested in that (law change) or the betterment of racing for a very long time.
  7. I hope that you are wrong. 40% less funding = a complete collapse of the industry.
  8. Sorry I can’t answer your question. I can only report what I know. I suggest that you direct your question(s) to Darin Balcombe, CEO of HB Racing. I have found him a great chap to deal with, especially when he was the General Managed at the WRC. Beau.
  9. Update: HB Racing applied for and got paid for 39 employees, which included Tote Operators based in the area who in turn have been paid out. Gee wiz, that’s totally in the face of what the Government handout was about (saving jobs) when RITA, (TAB) have announced that they are getting ride of all Tote Operators on course! Sorry but 1+1 doesn’t = 2 in this instance. (Probably not HB Racing’s fault as they wouldn’t have known of RITA’s crazy intentions.)......I certainly didn’t and I have my ear close to the ground!
  10. Gee wiz, that’s unbelievable. How would that operation have 39 employees unless they are claiming for tote operators for the meetings canceled.
  11. A bit like the Virgin Mary’s miraculous birth of Jesus Christ! It just happened!
  12. Galah, You have to take into consideration how Avondale have been shafted over the years, particularly be Ellerslie. There is not a shadow of a doubt that the grass surface in the north is at Avondale. Why not let them get on and develop it as per their plan? If you want to raise some real money, sell Ellerslie ?
  13. Give it back to the pricks and joint venture with TABcorp.
  14. My belief is that they don’t know either. If you look around the world, every betting agency is doing it, almost exactly the same, if not the same. My guess is that one started it and they have all followed suit.
  15. Dean McKenzie and the Board can’t be that stupid can they?
  16. I still see Bible’s everywhere when traveling. They are still being printed. Somethings are time-proof, so it seems. ?
  17. They can 'immediately' pay it back and act. Certainly that is fact regarding 'their' inability to speak. They need to take a leaf out of Jacinda's book and get everyone on side!
  18. Generally speaking, the senior management [John Allen and the team he brought in] was/is rooted. Yes he's gone but the rest remain. The comments above say it all!
  19. Dear Dean, I will give you a bit of advice....help. Instantly let Ian Noname go now, before it gets any worse and at the same time give yourself an uppercut for not having the courtesy of responding to Tony Pike yourself. Very poor judgement all round. Yours sincerely Beau
  20. I simply said that, what the WHO said in January, "that there was no clear evidence of Human to Human transmission" was clearly wrong. Chief Stipe, don't try and get me involved in something that I haven't commented on or which you have a political agenda for.
  21. Well they got that wrong didn’t they!
  22. Mores the pity NZTR.
  23. From my experience, I have no time for the man whatsoever.
