Sunrise, Curtin brings up some very relevent, points about the R.I.U. Well, let us look at this “Integrity Unit”. It was formed on the 1st of February 2011. How was it formed? What was it formed for? Who formed it? Who employed the people running it? Who checks them? Does it have its own internal Integrity for self investigation? Does any outside entity has supervisory authority with respecting RIU integrity? Who investigates the Investigators? Who runs the Integrity Unit? What is their background? Let us check each and every member’s credentials. Let us look at their background. Some of their decisions over the last few years have been very questionable. Let us see if there are any indiscretions with each and every one that works there. Does the management have any untoward vendettas against any of the Codes? Does the management have any personal vendettas against any individual? Is management competent enough to make its own decisions? After all it is ‘The Racing Integrity Unit” isn’t it? And regardless of how wonderful any of these members may be, including the head, shouldn’t they be required to stand down and be replaced on a staggered base to ensure both continuity and real maintenance as investigative integrity? There should be an absolute term limit of no more than six years for all employees and maybe four years for the head. Why don't we get answers to these well laid out Questions.. I'll bet if a check into the General Manager who has too much authority was done It will shock you.. Cameron George and Ross Neil made sure That the "I" in R.I.U. was tainted beyond repair right from the start.. Wake up and see the sun Happy...

Have been in the know and in fact I believe one "Head Stipe" has been involved with a top trainer who is under investigation for his fouls deeds by the S.P.C.A. Surely also 'Live Kills' is a form of Race Fixing , giving that dog an unfair advantage over his competitors. This investigation will involve all of the codes , Racing Board, R.I.U. Club Officials the bloody lot.. Get them out for life and let's get some clean racing....Trackside even has a presenter who has first hand experience with Cole and the Live Kills, One would have thought they would have vetted her more before employing her.

Chief, The R.I.U. were lacking "Integrity" from Day One.. Cameron George, (What a Con that prick was) Ross Neal was next to fail us all and place the R.I.U. in a position that it will Never recover from .For the Fat Lady Glenda to throw another shotput and state that the Industry is lucky to have this unit in place is a bloody joke.. There are Rotton eggs within the R.I.U. They had to pass this Investigation on as things were getting to hot for them to handle... The Poutama Boys both experienced Live Killing with Cole!!!! Andre is a worm that knows only to well he participated in this and is spineless , Fancy going under cover on T.V. stating that he didn't!!! Can relate first hand to your post Gazzac and it is really just so sad that this has been so blatently abused by the ineptitudes of the governing body, From all aspects this cancerous behaviour has spread even further up the chain of command. In my opinion WHAT Craig Rendle has done to the sport should be Investigated by a seperate , completely independant panel of review. His CONFLICT of interest as head of the Board for the betterment of what he should have complied with ,needs rectifying so that we can put right the sleaziness of his tenure back on track. Barsi in answer to a question put to him at a recent public meeting about Rendles slimeiness stated "It is been looked into"....Ha Ha ..Barsi You are of the same Genetic faultness and your day will come.....

Interesting to note that Calum Weir is being investigated re his conduct leaving the Stewards room. Mr Rick Quirk was the Head Stipe but I notice Scotty Wallis was the Deputy on this occaision. Isn't Mr Wallis the very same steward that is now engaged to Calums Ex girlfriend? Tricky stuff me thinks :)

Might have known Whiterod was in charge, this is typical reporting from the Greyhounds "Top Steward" who really should have been long gone. His reporting as to the actual facts of these two dogs is incorrect, while only subtle, the 1 dog did Marr the 8 dog and in my opinion if the 1 dog had minded it's own business 8 wins by a couple lengths. A warning at least would have been in order but the excuse given of inclusivness to the 8 dogs connections was typical

It would be fitting to have the swab proceedures made more Transparent perhaps? The story I get is that the RIU General Manager receives the swabs and it is totally in his hands from there. In Christchurchs case the swabs would have to be overseen and sent to the various agencies for testing. Hair swabs are done in one place only I believe in Australia.. If the testing was only asked specifically to cover only certain substances this could severly restrict the chances of eg. Arsenic being detected.. The results on completion are once again in the sole hands of the General Manager? I am not suggesting we have corrrupt practises amongst our Integrity Unit..but more the reason the transparencies of the overall proceedure could be explained...?
