  1. Looks absolutely beautiful and some exciting racing on the cards in the not too distant future.
  2. Perhaps , but a country track would probably have less than 60 horses trained at that track for a start. It's not hard to take an honest discerning approach to designating country tracks. Id even say Trentham & Te Rapa cd be considered based on numbers in training.
  3. Agree of course the argument now will be they have this amazing new track. I don't see the need for Auckland to even have a racecourse myself.
  4. Absolute farce that the likes of small trainers like Lance Noble are eligible for the race.
  5. Yes a country trainers series would have been a better idea, easy enough to do.
  6. What a great run from Belardo Boy on Saturday under 62.5kg. Why does a top weight like that carry over 60kg in an Open Handicap, shouldn't he just be carrying 60kg? Or is the horse catering for those entering Open Handicaps who aren't in that grade?
  7. That's all well and good but there just simply isn't the number of riders available to do this sort of thing in NZ
  8. Possibly the events of the final race on the card.
  9. These TA misdemeanors pass by barely without a comment these days. https://racingintegrityboard.org.nz/decisions/non-raceday-inquiry-mark-walker/?fbclid=IwAR3Le7-1EQhwpto66DTlvvjNhFgnfpZJTAw0MxMF7cILfyl_mFWUnclJtUM
  10. Hallelujah! A great move if they can get it back on the airwaves.
  11. Some mind blowing prices for this sale, I thought the Harry Angel horse looked amazing. Most pleasing to see 3 horses in the top 10 by NZ based sires also.
  12. I'm like you , I can't figure where the cash is coming from either.
  13. Then what's the point at throwing more $$$ at the top end?
  14. A good initiative, but misplaced . It would be better spread amongst the mid to low tier horses through several different that keep the turnover turning over here. I can't see this keeping G1 horses here.
  15. Wasn't it great to see them running down the outside rail at Tauranga.
  16. Have to agree MV although it has some decent races , it's the Waipa of Aus racing.
  17. What is the other track? For me although its a good surface Ruakaka is some of the most boring racing.
  18. Most boring track to watch racing and it seems to be getting used every 2nd Saturday now has to be Tauranga.
  19. Wow , some bundle of speed. Incredible performance.
  20. Looks an absolute walk in the Park for Imperatriz here.
  21. Being a Colt or Gelding would prevent them from starting in the Cuddle.
  22. Like to see Militarize , but he had a very tough run in the Guineas. AB & Mr B with Gold Trip running on for 3rd.
  23. Yes, but they probably think they'll fix the infrastructure from the windfall from the asset sales.
  24. They don't believe in the benefits of spreading, they have always been solely focused on but a few. Heres hoping they do get that $350k race right for the SI trainers.
