  1. Will Levin be congratulated?
  2. NZTR again applaud ATR for doing something , that they have allowed them a dream run to do so! Oh the irony of it all. https://loveracing.nz/News/37226/NZTRapplaudsATRannouncement.aspx
  3. Here I was thinking it was someone close to the trainer who reported it?
  4. Odds on you're not wrong on this one.
  5. Gee , those Trentham sectionals will be useful for future form and punting analysis!
  6. What will be most interesting will be when the CD AWT kicks off, if a certain well connected , strike rate trainer doesn't like it we may see some interesting developments.
  7. I know what youre saying, but even despite such biases and incompetency surely its in the best interests of an industry body to at least attempt to try to fix things, this lot just do absolute nothing and thing they have done well.
  8. Do not fear the inevitable ... it will be an absolute s**t show!
  9. I think its pretty challenging for CD trainers also, two meetings with a number of maidens are abandoned before a race is run and no replacement races are put in place for trainers looking for a 1200, 1400, 1600 etc .... its an absolute clown show and the communication and organisation hasn't improved and iota since the last pretender was in charge at NZTR.
  10. It will all end in disaster, despite what some of the cheerleaders are saying.
  11. Yes and it's presented to the industry like it will resolve all its issues.
  12. This is absolutely great they do this , but they have to start getting off their butts and being more proactive. Where are the replacement meetings going to be held? It's absolutely essential that $$s are flowing through the industry somehow, Hawera called off twice now, Woodville and many others also. They are simply too unflexible and have thus dug themselves into a hole with the track situation, largely caused by the incompetence of BS and his Venue plan with a touch of the M report to really ram it home. Surely the new CEO has enough sense and is brave enough to open the industry up again and properly utilize all its assets? It's not good enough to continually blame the weather or tell the industry Trentham remains open , there surely needs to be a plan for this? How do we have a CEO & COO and hear or see absolutely no progress or backup plans for the industry? It's becoming beyond a clown show.
  13. Any truth to the rumour Awapuni AWT is so tight they can only have 8 starters per race? Couldn't be true?
  14. Was it a good idea to sell Stratford then , being so close to New Plymouth?
  15. Hadn't seen this before. JULY 2012 Trainer Bart Cummings "has applauded the stance of Racing NSW chief executive Peter V'landys in dismissing the introduction of synthetic racetracks, which are in place in Victoria & Queensland" reported The Sydney Morning Herald. Cummings declared: "I agree entirely; follow American racing & you'll end up like Wall Street - broke. US tracks were bought by accountants, they introduced dirt, could only run on grass 30 times a year but they wanted to race 90 times a year. They couldn't give a toss about the horse. In America they race on bute, anabolics, all types of drugs, synthetic tracks aren't worth two bob, they break horses down." Cummings "is no fan of synthetic training tracks either & believes the Strathayr grass surface (which is in place at Moonee Valley) has stood the test of time". He noted: "Coarse river sand is the best training surface. When it rains it expands; other sand doesn't, it turns into slop, washes away & won't expand."
  16. Fairy Flash and Scooby a match made in heaven! Hey Fairy Flash , sorry I can't respond to the greatest poster in Channel X history - You are currently restricted from posting content
  17. So what you're saying is it wouldn't be Foxton?
  18. The real issue is numbers have dropped by either design or incompetence, alot of that via the alienation of tracks. Only going to be worse with the AWT being the main focus of everything over the next few years, before its too late. Total ignorance from that trainer, there are races for all horses they just have to graded/grouped correctly(not really happening here at the moment), thats why we have Highweights etc. I'm of the opinion Punters will punt on them commeasurate to the competitive nature of the races.
  19. Track is leased , so NZTR know there is no pesos in isolating that one.
  20. Yes they will, as it's a glaring example of how incompetent their programming is. The you could still race on the AWT will soon be the mantra .
  21. Oh and Fairy Flash loves it as well.
  22. No not in an industry run by NZTR they don't!
  23. Surely not , trainers, punters and owners love them!
  24. Of course it would have been had had he done so, but surely an industry such as racing can expect its governing body to take care of matters such of those in an adeqaute manner... no such luck here though.
  25. Exactly and some trainers who have threated to go over but haven't , have not gone for that very reason.
