  1. You're the one with the "Good News" @Chief Stipe , I'm just here to learn.
  2. I share your enthusiasm for the industry going forward!
  3. Have you not read your TA update this week @Chief Stipe , naughty naughty you'll lose your Top Fanboy status if your not careful!
  4. I'm desperate for the "Good News" you speak of ... do share???
  5. Wait and see what it is first !
  6. Even @Chief Stipe idol thinks Levin should stay : "The weather conditions still are playing havoc with some tracks - which makes me reflect on the fact that there is a lot of discussion, both in public and behind closed doors, at present in New Zealand racing about closing tracks. Personally, I am not in favour of closing any more tracks at all. We have already shut down a good number over the years, and I firmly believe we need every track that remains to sustain the future well-being of racing in this country."
  7. You'd expect that though, Adminstration should be balanced and fair ... not the case
  8. Agree with some of what youre saying . But the real problem in racing has always been around 'self interest' , the right decisions have never been able to be made due to self interest. Successive administrations have therefore been agenda driven instead of strategically driven , despite all the flashy documents and media they put out its all been fairytale stuff that must align with an agenda instead of an actual strategy for the growth in racings case survival of the sport. That unfortunately will never change and the sport will suffer the ultimate consequences for that.
  9. Difficult to read , but it looks like Thoroughbred racing is down on LY ? That being the case how could that be with Geoblocking ?
  10. Could this be the end of forums like this @Chief Stipe ?
  11. No rules are most clubs are giving it a go , what you fail to understand though is the importance of race dates for clubs , most everything flows from there , you'd understand better with a bit of experience on a committee. You cannot ascertain a proper analysis in club land without understanding how it all works. If yuoure in the NZTR club you have every opportunity to suceed , if youre not then your part of the agenda driven plan to ensure its made as difficult as possible for your club to suceed. You cannot get a good understanding of the system just by reading Financial Statements , its a far deeper situation than that. TBH I don't think you will ever understand it unless youre actually involved in it, you need to open your mind more @Chief Stipe . They most certainly should have access to some race dates like alot of other clubs do ... absolutely ... why not? I agree, but I do not hold this against you. You just do not know , so of course youre going to jump on the misinformation band wagon when thats all you know about.
  12. How can some clubs be expected to earn enough $$ to maintain/improve their assets when the rules of the game are rigged in such a way as to benefit an agenda? Lots of the smaller clubs or the out of favour clubs have done very well within the landscape they have had to operate in , picking up the scraps to make things work. It is not a level playing field despite what you think , therefore your expectations of some clubs is very much distorted.
  13. I'm painting my fence, unless of course you need my paintbrush ?
  14. Some great winners of the race back in the day Phillipa Rush, Bonecrusher, Burletta, Veandercross , The Bishop etc
  15. Only @Chief Stipe so it doesn't count.
  16. Maybe they could get some of the small clubs to subsidise the packages first them so they can sell them.
  17. That's not true , they probably could maintain or update , but what's the point given they'll never likely see another race day there again through no fault of their own.
  18. Can't disagree with that , but even that's rigged with NZTR deciding who gets race days or specific race dates.
  19. So whats the solution if most clubs can't pay their own way? Take from the poor and give to the rich who can't pay their own way?
  20. That's not how it works @Chief Stipe , NZTR take race dates off clubs, deliberately neglect clubs , attempt to neutralise or hope the volunteer base of the club falls over and then look to come to the industry rescue by stealing the asset. Under no circumstances should it ever be in the clubs or the industry's best interest to see the asset go to NZTR. Just because Levin don't have races at their track (likely not their fault) the contribution Levin make to the industry like a few other clubs is still huge and the story NZTR are trying to sell is that they don't contribute to the industry and are surplus to requirements is just downright deceit. You're on some pretty powerful drugs if you think NZTR are the heroes in all of this.
  21. How are they bluging off the track down the road? They don't have any allocated race dates for their home track, I don't think you understand how this all works @Chief Stipe
  22. Wanting punters to have a safe and enjoyable time whilst wagering is anti - racing ... you've well and truly lost the plot @Chief Stipe!
  23. Why on earth would Levin bother upgrading their facilities to be ignored and misused by the governing body in this country? The latest attempt at their assets is a prime example of this. NZTR have made such a hash of the so called venue plans they have clubs unwilling to invest in the future due to this very scenario and look where that has got them, they are beyond hopeless - not to mention as the article says NZTR won't even listen or have a conversation about it.
  24. Probably wasn't a Grand Tour event @Wingman ? Those events really provide atmosphere ,sparkle and non stop vibes! ... ask @Chief Stipe
  25. Massively overpriced
