  1. Not often I can say this, but not one single race at Ellerslie interests me on Saturday. Having said that there were some great races there on Derby day. I can see it all changing , in that I can see it all falling apart, its hanging by a thread at the moment only most people don't realise it. As for a holistic view , I couldn't agree more, but there are too many agendas, too many self interested , too much amateurish administration, too many changes for the sake of change , too much hype and BS that doesn't stand up to scrutiny and too many that have forgotten about what once made the sport great in this country!
  2. Was always going to happen, call in the reserves but the fact there was only 4 initial noms says more about the real state of the sport. Particularly when the industry bends over backwards for Ellerslie on everything and I mean everything!
  3. Exactly and well put. Some in the industry are creating a problem so they can be the ones that are seen to fix it, much like has been done with the venues.
  4. This is just one example of whats wrong with the sport in this country, this in any form cannot be a good thing. The powers that be don't understand how the the industry operates, that all areas are required to sustain the pyramid scheme. Just another nothing race on a Thursday. https://loveracing.nz/News/32779/NewhomeawayfromhomeforMarlboroughCup.aspx
  5. Same hay supplier as that Matamata stable used perhaps? and a couple of bales contaminated.
  6. Hello! Because those are the lowest noms most recently out, much has been written about those other races without me having to comment on them. Stop beating around the bush and making excuses for it, don't tell me youre now a member at Ellerslie? The industry should be very worried by those initial nominations and you know it. Much has been said about the direction its heading in and most of it is coming home to roost , I have to say faster than I'd even imagined.
  7. Have to agree with Tesio on that one , absolutely 100% correct! also other facets to it, but certainly part of the problem.
  8. I'm not falling into that trap, I'm not running the sport and I'm one of many who are never listened to, 4 noms for a G1 2yo race at a so called carnival is a disgrace!
  9. 4 noms (yes I'm sure there will be more put in) for a G1 2yo at Ellerslie and some people thinking the sport is being run well FFS!
  10. I was thinking similar after watching it yesterday, particularly the step up in trip at Trentham. Highlight of the day was the performance of Entriviere imo , looks an amazing animal, I'd walk across hot coals to watch that one gallop!
  11. No administrators the whole sport would improve tenfold!
  12. Chief writes them love letters about their expensive yearling purchases, they must be good letters huh? Wouldn't it be great to have seen the process go to these lengths to prove several other innocents in the past, perhaps it could have saved some good people several unnecessary headaches.

  14. I know youre TA biggest fan , but this is getting ridiculous!
  15. Not to mention if a stable had recently had a positive wouldn't you be testing all of the winners coming out of that stable? Have a look at Military Step at Wanganui 14/1/2021 , was that 2 weeks after the positive? 9 winners that day ( I realise another one of TA was tested after winning, but isn;t that the point of the 6 race winners, the contamination can apparently come from anywhere) only 8 tested. They don't do the last race?
  16. It's a "NO" from me Simon!
  17. No I have made myself very clear on what I think, as have many others. I think it would be safe for you to assume that I have the opposite opinion to yours regarding this matter. Your concern may have developed because of your inability to see anything but ambiguity regarding the possibility of two positives from two separate stables that have been discussed on here in the last few weeks.
  18. Surely youre capable of interrupting what you wrote yourself? Bit harsh on Thomas saying he has a village that's accepting of him.
  19. Isn't that the point?
  20. Tell that to the owners of the site & the dam, know what you mean though.
  21. You can take glee in the fact that I wont be wasting my time coming up with one, the inferred one is most plausible still imo lol.
  22. Form is comparative , OTB looked run looked more than a run short.
