  1. They probably know if they did attempt to compete that TA would have 5 in the race and the riding ranks in NZ being what they are they'd have to put a 4kg claimer on , after the jock who won a maiden on their 200k horse opted to ride the TA 5th choice in the race.
  2. Theyll do it again next year and the year after the way nzracing is going, im always amused when people like yourself are amazed by this, why? The model & money spent is a guarantee of this , Aus 2yo wins nz 2yo G1 race, Savabeel runs 2nd ...well duh!
  3. That our workforce is excited about their future within the industry, they have clear career paths and are proud to be involved in racing." - my local workforce dont know they exist, if they did they would know they arent competent enough to talk to them about what they are doing!
  4. Our stories are getting racing into the mainstream media. We are catering for all fans – new and old, expert and beginner." - as did the last lot, absolute garbage!
  5. Clubs are encouraged to create added revenue streams; establish strong community relationships; and business opportunities - favoured clubs indeed, the rest of you we will cut off at the knees!
  6. That's what they do, then do something, then tell you they did what they said they would.
  7. With Robertson at the helm it"ll be more inclusive & thus a dysfunctional disaster with absolutely no idea about racing. Writing on the wall.
  8. Any point in going any more, like seriously its now far worse than a joke.
  9. A real race horse, makes the hairs on the back of ya neck stand up!
  10. Venue Plan is working so very well!!!
  11. All those Zed owners will be wishing they nominated their Zeds for the Slipper now ; 0
  12. I think he wants to know where the fast lanes are, if someone finds out let me know, my punting need it!
  13. Absolutely , most certainly owners do and thats why its great to see the continued focus on the above.
  14. If you look at the legislation you can understand why, I think there is something in there about racing clubs having race dates assets can't be disposed of in under 2 years, something like that at any rate. It's all very planned out, as the location of several race meetings borders on the absurd, its more important they get their hands on assets than present a decent product to the world and that sums up the running of racing in this country. As many of us have pointed out there was no analysis whatsoever in which tracks should have dates and which shouldn't, it all unfortunately depends on who is in the club and that will be what really destroys the sport in this country , self interest and nepotism.
  15. I guess the thing I like most about the Tangerine hugouts is the focus on KFE and their staff its great to see, really shows owners what how much fun they could be having if they were the centre of attention -great racing theatre!
  16. Even better was the pXss trip they got on the WS boat after winning the Cup with an Ocean Park, absolute class from Mark Chittick massive hats off to that!
  17. I think the other issue is the criminal under usage of several better tracks around the country , that have suffered at the hands of the venue plan etc.
  18. Oh C'mon now CS! The Tangerine Hug Outs are now a part of NZ Racing Folklore! Not my fault you don't enjoy great racing theatre!
  19. Yesterdays Hug out wouldn't win any Emmy award , she needs to bring out her Karaka Million night hugs they seem a bit more realistic and wholesome....no?
  20. I looking more and more like yet another "sign" of the racing times if you will.
  21. Would be great if they could at least have the NZ & Aus gallops on the station, in particular Saturday. But while the TAB are at it , why don't they save some $$ by putting a halt to the embarrassing form comments on their form guides, read some of the Slipper ones are just cringe!
  22. Tycoon Lil was a heluva a filly , I know her rider spoke in glowing terms of her, probably didn't fulfil the potential she had.
  23. Exactly right, there is no point in even thinking about what's wrong, those in charge don't care, dont know and don't listen! You can do all the fb lives and bs stories you want but when the leadership keeps making f@@ked up decisions based on absolutely nothing ...there is no hope for a decent future. Racing in NZ biggest problem has always been self interest and an inability to see the bigger picture, that wont change. The base of the industry is being crushed at the moment and has been since M report and BS coming on board . Unfortunately I fear it is only going to get worse!
  24. What is amazing is that the trainers achievements for winning big races in this country are lauded by everyone yet , yet the horse(s) winning G1s in NZ(and I don't disagree with that perspective) are questionable by many, very odd perspective imho.
  25. What a carnival it was... Yawn!! A cashed up stable won the NZ Derby with an expensive Aus Bred ... Yawn! Another cashed up stable quinella the 2yo G1 trial...sorry race with 2 expensive Aussie bred horses ... Yawn! TA won 4 or 5 or 57 races in a day on one of the days or every day of the carnival , can't remember .. Yawn! 2 more Aus bred horses fought out another G1 from one of those cashed up stables mentioned before... Yawn! Bill Pomare a battler from Rotorua way won the G1 Auckland Cup! How has this been allowed to happen and why hasn't NZracing gotten ridden of his ilk yet?All those policies and initiatives introduced by NZracing are clearly not working as efficiently as needed to turn the big ship NZracing around! do they know he is a battler or have they mixed him up with another more prominent stable? I'm also hearing the horse was by a Kiwi based Sire? - Wonderful story and some reality that most of the industry can really aspire to. Go the Tang....er..in.. Yawn!
