  1. Trainer does well on the track and usually has one set for the meeting. Zachary Butcher down to drive it and drove it at the Cup trials as well so obviously wanted the drive. Looked green at trials and a bit fat first couple. Opened too long by bookies. Geez Brodie being an astute punter thought you would be onto it at the overs.
  2. Looking forward to you proving me wrong in future races. 👍
  3. I am not suggesting it is a common occurrence, that is you putting words in my mouth, but I would like to see the stats over the last 10 or so years so I can make an educated decision based on facts. I even saw a trotter drop dead at the trials just after the finish not that long ago so may be more common than you think.
  4. Any data over the past several years for harness racing deaths on the track that are sudden medical events? Could be better or worse than previous years but without that data then it is subjective BS in my opinion.
  5. Anna Love was the best bet in the race by far. Wasn't confident about the driver getting any luck in the straight but was happy to back it at those odds each way. Add in the two top juniors and an easy trifecta. Morries Girl was way under the odds in that race with Fitzgerald driving and boosted the odds on all the others. I have done well in the past in the junior driver races backing against him as he is normally on a form horse and a very high percentage of the time runs out of the money.
  6. He quite often gets third and fourth the wrong way around in a tight finish but usually pretty good with the winner. The hype got him this time.
  7. I thought account holders could still win 2K when restricted? So your 30 would be at 66.6 odds then.
  8. Tents galore out here biggest crowd I have seen on track for a while. The cracking weather might have something to do with that.
  9. On the money again so far Brodie 🤣 Winners positions Race 1 Trail Race 2 Led all the way (Trail horse ran second) Race 3 Led all the way Race 4 One by One (Parked horse ran second) Race 5 Three deep fence (trail horse ran second) Race 6 Led all the way
  10. No I think Mot will be more leader dominated as well if it is a rock hard surface. They only tend to come from the back when the grass is either longer or not firm.
  11. Disappointing! It used to be a big couple of days a few years ago but getting worse every year. Not sure who is to blame but the high cost of travel would definitely put a few off I suppose.
  12. I heard he is kicking himself for missing out on acquiring Kelly Evander who had 160 starts here for bugger all a few years ago. He could have won an Interdominion with her.
  13. FFS welcome to another boring night of follow the leader at Addington. Bring on the wet grass track racing and some decent dividends.
  14. What chance it will be abandoned? Hopefully no rain the day before or on the day.
  15. I will take a soft 9 for the track please. The dividends might be orgasmic if that is the case. Bring it on!
  16. I am going with blind stupidity.
  17. I see Geraldine has 259 Nominations for it's meeting on Saturday. The November meeting always attracts big fields and one of the best days of the year for betting in my opinion.
  18. https://harnesslink.com/new-zealand/hrnz-board-approves-application-from-disqualified-licenseholder/ Can not imagine the public perception will be that positive. They can read the room about as well as the current Government at the moment.
  19. So called "Geo blocking" has not stopped me betting on the New Zealand TAB when I am in Australia and nor will it stop me betting on the Australian sites from NZ. They are in cuckoo land to think this is the ultimate fix to their dropping yields.
  20. Yes All Stars team grow a leg when the money is up but I think the gap has closed and Dunns and Telfer stable showing up to the races with some quality animals. Cup Day is going to be a cracker this year.
  21. That was good by Carter on Republican Party. Rasmussen and Purdon just got wasted by a better drive in that race. Good to see other drivers take the Blue Army on during the race and not just let them dominate in races. Telfer stable also look like they have the horsepower to really make cup week interesting this year and Tim Williams not scared to take it to them as well.
  22. I think the value has improved a ton in the last year or so. You just need to look harder Brodie. Yesterday I thought Coney Island Lou was over the odds on opening at Addington and also Deceptive Lee. See It Thru down at Invercargill also value on opening.
  23. Ray Green runners quite often race better when they are paying over $15.00. His outsiders can go like $1.50 runners. Argyle running a 1.55 mile rate paying $20+ the latest in a long line of upsets dating back several years.
  24. I agree with that statement but the enforcement should come from people with a strong harness racing background not, and I am quoting de Lore here who I think speaks for 99% of the harness industry at the moment : "a hapless bunch of over-paid dinosaur-like ex-judges and policemen with no racing knowledge, expecting them to exercise justice in an industry in which they are ill-equipped and inadequate."
  25. I would have agreed with that 10 years ago but with such a leaders bias at Addington these days I am not so sure.
