  1. Yes All Stars team grow a leg when the money is up but I think the gap has closed and Dunns and Telfer stable showing up to the races with some quality animals. Cup Day is going to be a cracker this year.
  2. That was good by Carter on Republican Party. Rasmussen and Purdon just got wasted by a better drive in that race. Good to see other drivers take the Blue Army on during the race and not just let them dominate in races. Telfer stable also look like they have the horsepower to really make cup week interesting this year and Tim Williams not scared to take it to them as well.
  3. I think the value has improved a ton in the last year or so. You just need to look harder Brodie. Yesterday I thought Coney Island Lou was over the odds on opening at Addington and also Deceptive Lee. See It Thru down at Invercargill also value on opening.
  4. Ray Green runners quite often race better when they are paying over $15.00. His outsiders can go like $1.50 runners. Argyle running a 1.55 mile rate paying $20+ the latest in a long line of upsets dating back several years.
  5. I agree with that statement but the enforcement should come from people with a strong harness racing background not, and I am quoting de Lore here who I think speaks for 99% of the harness industry at the moment : "a hapless bunch of over-paid dinosaur-like ex-judges and policemen with no racing knowledge, expecting them to exercise justice in an industry in which they are ill-equipped and inadequate."
  6. I would have agreed with that 10 years ago but with such a leaders bias at Addington these days I am not so sure.
  7. He was confident he was going to be on the money with that one.
  8. https://harnesslink.com/usa/bulldog-hanover-paces-fastest-mile-ever-in-145-4/ Looks like he could go even faster.

  9. Well his tips come out on the day of the races and he can back them the night before so I suppose you could call that early access.
  10. Yes the whale is terrible. He was ok several years back when no-one had access to information and he got the videos when the public couldn't see them. These days he can stop those 1.40 favourites in their tracks. No wonder the TAB keep him employed.
  11. I think the point is to make punters bet to increase turnover. Obviously the worse they tip the more the TAB makes so in the best interest of the TAB to have terrible tippers. Also good for me as they lower the odds on horses I don't like more often than not.
  12. I think the RIB went in to this half cocked with no factual evidence of race fixing just a few assumptions, just like I posted in here suggesting that might be the case the day this became public knowledge 6 years ago.
  13. If the whips are removed the stipes will have to find another easy and profitable way to fill up the fine jar probably with another set of ridiculous rules re rein use. Is it at all possible to vote someone onto some of these decision making positions with some actual common sense.
  14. He is a good judge that Brodie lol
  15. Looks like a tired horse to me. Might come back stronger next time in
  16. Addington has turned into a real turd for betting. Leader biased favourites turning everyone off. That is why the grass tracks and country meetings are better betting opportunities and favoured by punters owners and trainers. The biggest issue is why can't the heads of the TAB and HRNZ make that conclusion that as well.
  17. They chuck out Smileslikejacinda but they happily let through the name Escobar named after a terrorist criminal drug lord who murdered thousands of people through barbaric acts of violence and caused hundreds of thousands of deaths through importing drugs into America. I argue Escobar causes offense to millions more than the name Jacinda. The whole naming thing is just laughable.
  18. Getting to the front helped the most. The track bias is such that you get the front you run top three
  19. Yes and Commodore 64 graphics.
  20. Pretty sure they open Group Races and some listed races earlier than lower rated races. Who in their right mind bets on these six horse races with $1.30 favourites?
  21. I think Ian is just saying out loud what all every other drivers are thinking.
  22. Too late to fix it as unfortunately they have already driven too many punters away who will never come back.
  23. 26 into 7.00 tonight. Outsiders crunching in to much lower odds before race start. Rule number one: If it is tipped out on boys get paid ignore it! I will be more gobsmacked than Brodie if it wins tonight. I am backing against it.
  24. Artatac looked the winner in that race. I would have priced it at 1.80 so thought the 2.10 was value.
  25. A global pool would be the best option for the punters but most countries are against the idea because they do not like to share and how do you split the profits? Also the pools in New Zealand harness would still not be that big even with a global pool. As for the TAB exploring options, the TAB even stopped Australians from betting into our pools and got rid of free to air trackside, not to mention managing to get screwed over building the new website. Do you think they can make good decisions after seeing those ignominious failures?
