The conversation went like this. Winston. Hey John Allen why are you losing so much money. John Even though we restrict him bloody Brodie keeps winning too much money off us. Winston You mean people make money and we don't get any tax of them John John Yes it is a real shame. Think of all the money we could get off Brodie if we tax his winnings. Winston Right I will put something in place. Lets begin by seeing how much these bastards are winning. Start getting some details of all those who win over $1000 John Oh I can do better than that Winston. Here is Brodies full profit and loss statement for the last 15 years Time to leave the country Brodie they are coming for you.?

NZ Metropolitan TC - 28 June 2019 - R1 Chair Mr R McKenzie
Nowornever replied to Chief Stipe's topic in JCA
Should have absolutely cut the horse in half with 10 hay makers to stay with in the rules instead of using 12 small taps and getting fined. -
Yes it is not good but is better than what you get in Australia if you win consistently.

Welcome to the UK's version of gambling risk management. Was always going to happen here only a matter of time.

Which suggests the NZ TAB is currently losing a fortune on this horse considering he opened at around $51 and was tipped out on Boys Get Paid at that price.

Going to be a wet one. Best chance of beating the All-Stars is parking them out.Hard to win in the wet from the death. Come on John Dunn and others you can beat them. Just don't give them any leads.

Late scratchings- Why don’t they show % deductions?

Brodie will not work anything out by himself. He wants it handed to him on a plate. Surely you must know this after all this time! -
Brodie is off the restricted list!

Yes I agree. A scapegoat for what?

They used to put the average trifecta dividend for racing in the racing calendar but stopped doing it a few years ago. I am guessing the main reason is the average trifecta dividend for racing has dropped massively and it is embarrassing to have it printed.

HRNZ have been learning off the TAB. It may look pretty but welcome to endless scrolling and clicking to get to where you want to go!
-
yes and we would all be richer but I am not sure if racing would be better off or if TAB could cope with the loss if you kept putting U May Cullect out at $4.00 a place.
-
That would be logical, so the odds are pretty short that they did not!

No confidence at all!!!!! I mean how hard would have it have been to get a couple of hard core punters to do a once over on the new website before it went live and point out its shortcomings. For 50mil and to produce this shite ranks right up there with the day: France orders 1,860 trains the wrong size! Imagine you were in charge of ordering new trains for your country. You would surely check your budget and examine all the possible trains you could buy. You would also, no doubt, allow yourself to be wined and dined by various train manufacturers and perhaps be tempted by a backhander or two. Along the way, though, you would surely ask your engineers to confirm what size trains would actually fit into your nation's platforms. Sadly, it seems that this last logic escaped those who ordered 1,860 new trains for France's very fine railways. As Reuters reports, France's national rail company, SNCF, confirmed that there had been a measure of error in its ordering. The new trains are too big for many of the nation's platforms. A spokesman for RFF, the national rail operator, told France's Info radio: "It's as if you have bought a Ferrari that you want to park in your garage, and you realize that your garage isn't exactly the right size to fit a Ferrari because you didn't have a Ferrari before. We discovered the problem a little late...We are making our mea culpa." The only element his analogy omitted was: "It's as if you're a garage maker who bought a Ferrari." According to the Guardian, France's Minister of Transport described the situation as "a comic drama." It was certainly comic, as the fact that the new trains were too wide for the platforms was revealed by France's satirical newspaper, Le Canard Enchaine. It squarely put the blame on the biggest brains: "The clever engineers at SNCF forgot to verify the facts on the ground." It seems that the RFF's engineers sent the SNCF the measurements of platforms built in the last 30 years. However, many of France's platforms were built longer ago than that and these have different dimensions. The SNCF's engineers took the data verbatim and ran with it. Until they got stuck. The mistake was discovered in 2012 and has only just squeezed onto the public platform. Now, 1,300 of France's 8,700 platforms are being re-engineered to accommodate the new trains. The cost will be some 50 million euros (around $68.4 million).

Ways the new TAB betting platform could be worse.
Nowornever replied to Joe Kidd's topic in Galloping Chat
I have a 1Gig fibre connection and the website is still so painfully slow, I do not know how anyone with a slower connection must cope with this abomination. Pending bets! Why can I not search by bet type like before and instead have to trawl through pages of bets to find what i want? It is a database for christs sake! Make it easy for the customer. Why does information I want to view after the race disappear? Some of us still want to view the pool information after the race has jumped even if you don't. -
30 HOURS TO THE BIGGEST COCK UP BY TAB
Nowornever replied to TIME FOR CHANGE's topic in Galloping Chat
In fact it is getting worse in my opinion. More often cuts you off in the middle of putting a bet on and you have to go through the 50 clicks just to get back to where you were. The win/place, trifecta, quinella and first four pool amounts disappearing after the closing time is just ludicrous. They can get rid of the pools after closing time but a bloody betslip from five races ago can sit there on the side and bugger up other bets you are trying to put on. A lot of my friends have ditched putting a bet on via internet and will go to the TAB instead or not bet. This must be hurting the turnover and heads should roll if it is! -
I agree. I believe they threw the book at him as a benchmark for future cases to come.

Can you write Get F$@#ED and send it back?

I am on the side of Saliesh here. It is not compulsory to talk to the media or a right of the media to interview every horseman if they don't want an interview. Good on him!

Not sure which is more embarrassing the news or the tweet!

The best tipster is not Brodie...it is....
Nowornever replied to Happy Sunrise's topic in Trotting Chat
Well done he found the favourite or second favourite in the last seven races. Bold tipping indeed. Almost as good as the whales video tips who usually pay around 1.50 for a win but get beaten more often than not. Mark McNamara I think the best tipper of the presenters and he is not afraid to put his balls on the line and tip out a horse paying $20.00 -
Remind me who the two horses it passes again were? The only two horses I saw it pass were One Over The Skye and One Over Dover who were in a full gallop and being severely restrained. One Over The Stars actually lost 10m and ended up back with the 10m horses. The rest of the front line went clear of One Over The Stars as did Trick Star and Spotlight the Valley from the 10m.

WTF it only galloped for 30m or 40m! No issues there from what I saw.
