  1. Whale going for some value. Plutonium Lady $1.35 Need To Know $1.90 Tyrone's Bit Of A Lemon $1.30
  2. No restrictions unless you are restricted from entering!
  3. On a positive note! Outside of premier meetings some of the most even supporting races I have seen at Addington for a while. Race four an absolute cracker for the junior drivers. I think there is a $6000 first four injection in that race as well.
  4. Fair enough if you call a 31.7 second quarter a sprint. I prefer think it was a grinding finish from a horse who had done the least work of the first four home.
  5. Looking more and more likely by the day.
  6. Just saw Nigel McGrath case was dropped this afternoon for lack of evidence! http://www.harnesslink.com/International/Race-fixing-charge-against-trainer-dropped
  7. What next Full License holders downgraded to Amateur! Time to downgrade the RIU to full retard.
  8. Run a "tote only" same as old format with $200 entry on the harness grass tracks around the South Island on a Sunday and count me in every time.
  9. Used to be a great competition and I entered quite a few of them back in the day. Tote pools were definitely bigger during the Competition and I thought their main goal was to turn over more money on-course. The lower entry fee might help them attract more teams but why couldn't they lower the entry and keep the old format.
  10. This will be like a red rag to a bull for Brodie!?
  11. So you are telling me I can not go into a TAB and put $240 (In three separate $80 bets) to win on a horse paying $12.00 and collect $960 three times maybe at different locations. Hang on I have just collected $2880 and not had to use ID. What sort of sorcery is this!
  12. If you are cashing in a winning ticket pretty hard to restrict you if you have already won. Keep betting under the $1000 limit and no issues
  13. Not sure all my collects previously have been from TAB account refunded to bank account from which I had to show ID. I collected in cash this time to see what was the difference and was the same. Produced ID and got the money. It may be a different procedure depositing money (more than 1K) or collecting from a ticket or voucher but I am guessing show ID and get the money. For me was a 30 second transaction to show ID and collect. This weekend I will try to deposit $1000 in cash at a different TAB and see what happens. Any reason why you can not test this yourself Brodie?
  14. Had a couple of $1000+ collects last week and no issues at all. Have always had to produce ID so same procedure as before. What about the poker machines in some TABs. Some guys put thousands through there $100 at a time. How do they counteract that?
  15. Interesting Rock On not wanted on fixed odds out to $6.00. All the money for Tim Willlams in that race
  16. None,One,Two,Three or Four Matt Anderson on fire and driving three of them.
  17. Not a great drive at all.
  18. Looks a top horse for sure. The $120,000 paid for him could turn out to be a bargain
  19. Sorry Brodie been busy. Some of us have a life outside of whingeing about restrictions on online forums. In the interest of anyone that might be listening I am going to say losing punter! Well I suppose I could be fully retired but I choose to manage my own properties. I have never worked for a Govt agency.
  20. Incorrect. Semi retired. And every time I collected money from my TAB account in the past be it 1000 or 50,000 I still had to present ID to recover it from my account so will not impact me much if I still have to do it going forward.
  21. At the end of the day I am all for stopping any money laundering that could stop any terrorism or crime. Just like the airports making it difficult going through security just a sign of the times but necessary in today's climate.
  22. Well The DIA is setting the terms here according to Rusty But I believe all businesses need to do a risk assessment that determines the dollar level. https://www.dia.govt.nz/AML-CFT-Information-for-the-NZ-Racing-Board
  23. From an earlier post from RUSTY One of my good mates works at DIA and specifically within the AML CFT compliance unit. I bailed them up over lunch today and asked about this $1k v $10k issue. Apparently it (the $1,000 figure) was a deal struck between the TAB and the DIA. Originally the DIA wanted it to be $500!!! They settled on $1,000. We both have an employment background working with a lot of different legislation. There is no breach of the Act here with the TAB doing what they are doing. Pissing a lot of their customers off, yes perhaps, but not a breach of the legislation. Nothing in the Act to say they cannot do what they are doing. Who is right here? Brodie or RUSTY?
  24. Who does what? The agencies who supervise the AML/CFT regime and the businesses (known as reporting entities under the Act) they monitor are: The Reserve Bank of New Zealand supervises banks, life insurers, and non-bank deposit takers. (See also: Financial market infrastructure oversight) The Financial Markets Authority supervises issuers of securities, licensed supervisors, fund managers, brokers and custodians, financial advisers, derivatives issuers, DIMS providers and peer to peer lending and equity crowd funding service providers. The Department of Internal Affairs supervises casinos, non-deposit taking lenders, money changers, money remitters, payroll remitters, debt collectors, factors, financial leasors, safe deposit box vaults, non-bank credit card providers, stored value card providers and cash transporters, and any other reporting entities not supervised by the Reserve Bank or the Financial Markets Authority. The Ministry of Justice is responsible for drafting and administering the AML/CFT Act and regulations. The Financial Markets Authority took over the AML/CFT functions of its predecessor, the Securities Commission of New Zealand, on 1 May 2011. The New Zealand Police Financial Intelligence Unit collates and analyses information relating to suspicious transactional activity.
  25. Not sure if you have been reading all the comments from this thread. This is not a TAB policy. The TAB are not implementing this on their own bat. They are being forced to do this by the Government.
