Who is your trainer Longowner? Do they have a clean record? -
NZ Metro Nominations very poor for Sunday 18 July.

Well what do you reckon the criteria was Brodster? Here's a clue - they needed six spots and there's only eight active juniors in the north island. And when the finalists were announced, one of those eight, Crystal Hackett, had been driving for about two weeks. The other, Leah Hibell, had had four career drives. So what does that big, smart brain tell you, guy? Let me help you out a little further. A very quick google search gives the points earned. Hopefully this satisfies all your tough questions. And let me save you the effort, Captain Obvious. Yes, it's lop-sided and yes the North don't get anywhere near as many opportunities to earn points. RELEASE The qualifying period has finished for the championship which will feature the top six junior drivers from each island based on points. The qualifying period began on August 1 last year with winners of any Junior Driver race throughout that period gaining 7 points and winners of any other race gaining 5 points. Last year's champion Kerryn Tomlinson is back for the South Island team which will be captained by John Morrison, while the North Island will be led by Luke Whittaker. North Island Luke Whittaker (Captain) (217 points) Alicia Harrison (175 points) Andrew Drake (69 points) Zev Meredith (65 points) Nathan Delany (55 points) Kaleb Bublitz (26 points) South Island John Morrison (Captain) (630 points) Sheree Tomlinson (434 points) Sarah O’Reilly (413 points) Ben Hope (383 points) Mark Hurrell (345 points) Kerryn Tomlinson (288 points) -
Astute observation from you champ.

Well Maria has been racing horses at Auckland for over a year and all form guides plus her HRNZ profile say Pukekohe. What do you reckon champ? Perhaps she's just on a year-long holiday? -
The drugs must be good in Brodieland. There are currently 40 junior drivers in the South Island.

God, you are an absolute wounder.

This would have to be in the Brodie Top 5 Hall of Fame of absolute nonsense drivel. It's clear reading these forums the last few days that you need to step away from the keyboard. -
What was the Facebook page that had the harness turnovers.

He is listed as owing $2900+. This was his fine and costs from an earlier hearing.

Top 15 all time with 1448 and thats after virtually stopping driving 10 years ago. and a former World Champion. Notwithstanding your point Martin, about leaking, which I tend to agree with, don’t let your stable’s issues with Jones cloud his qualifications.

Chief, where are you finding these documents... my humble google searches turn up nothing (looking for other clubs like the Central Districts ones plus Invercargill and Winton). -

But it costs owners to send a horse to Manawatu....

Well he will get whatever they can cram in to 40 hours a week. You would think that means up to 4 meetings a week?
-
Let me paint a picture for you guys. Davey Mac was a contractor getting up to $1000 a meeting give or take. That’s for all Southland gallops, trots and greyhounds. How much do you think that costs a year? Would think probably at least $130,000. Evans is on salary of approx $70,000 to call an unlimited numbers of meetings within reason from South Canterbury to Otago. By letting Davey go they cut the wage bill from $200,000 to $70,000 plus lets say an extra $20,000 in incidental costs (motel rooms and travel/food subsidies). To someone with no feel for the fabric of the game, just numbers, that would make sense. It’s a damn shame but MacDonald was surely within a year or two of retiring anyway? As for Lichter, that info isn’t too hard to source - you just have to ring people within the company that are disenfranchised. Certainly wouldn’t be getting it from Guerin, they are what you might call the opposite of friends harking back to the Geoff Small controversy days.
