    I guess you can just enjoy Iraklis intelligent conversation and the Buffett at Valentines without worrying about not being able to get a bet on due to TAB restrictions if the Auckland fields don’t interest you.

    How can you not get excited at the thought of being able to take a Dr Luk Chin quinella and trifecta in race 8 at Auckland.

    The Brodster is a heavily restricted punter so his passive income has been reduced hence why he would be at Valentines with his brother on pension day for a 5% discount. Brodster would also be salivating over the small fields at Auckland as he can sneak a bet on and come in under the tab $1000 anti money laundering policy (which he is not happy about) without having to sign in blood to get his money.

    Finally Brodie. It has taken many many years but you are on the money. I totally agree with you that the standing starts are just not good enough since Peter Lamb retired.

    I think the north island has really missed a trick not appointing Peter Lamb as their starter. This single move would help with both the above issues Brodie mentions.

    Each to their own and not a criticism (as they can do what is they like) but I found there bet on to bravery born at $2.80 just bizarre.

    Yeah your are right Chief. I’m not knocking them at all as they can run there punters club how they like bit there did seem to be a couple of strange bets at times. Ronaldo has the right attitude about it, an afternoon’s entertainment and half your money back isn’t a terrible result.

    Yip a lot of pub tabs don’t put any form up and I also know of a couple that charge for form guides outside of the major meetings that they put up. The main reason given is cost of printing in relation to the commission they make from the TAB.

    Was Peter Lamb the starter? It may have needed the walk up standing start to get momentum. Did the driver get put out for excessive use of the whip?
