  1. Would bringing Peter Lamb out of retirement help solve the issue?
  2. More thinking of giving restricted punters a fair chance.
  3. I wouldn’t say I don’t rate him. Pete Lamb just set the bar incredibly high.
  4. Never mind head to heads Brodie. They should bring back Peter Lamb as the South Island starter.
  5. I was thinking the same thing Reefton. Two meetings today and two they day after tomorrow. Surely one of them could have been scheduled for tomorrow as like you say a decent chunk of the country are on holiday.
  6. It’s not really relevant to anything to do with the conversation but I don’t think English is actually an offical language of New Zealand. There’s been a couple of petitions and bills in parliament to make it one but I don’t think they were drawn.
  7. As I previously said they have big junior numbers, there issue is retention once players reach college and other clubs, most of those kids to go schools affiliated with other rugby clubs and that’s the major issue. The other issue is that Wests got relegated 10-15 years ago and when the competition was restructured Wests (like stokes valley) we’re left in the wilderness no one with any prospect or ambition was going to play for Wests. I’d suspect 20 years ago senior football numbers were still higher than rugby purely for the fact it’s less physical and people can keep playing for longer. I don’t dispute your point that rugby numbers are on the decline but the wests situation is not a good example as there are external factors at play.
  8. Wests rugby have some of the strongest junior numbers in the country. The issues for wests is that they lose players when the go to college as they don’t have a college in the area and other clubs are affiliated with the colleges that most of there juniors go to but your right senior rugby numbers on the whole in are in decline in the capital.
  9. Well said Newmarket. I’d be exactly the same.
  10. I have never rang them but presumably someone would ring his tip line to get in early and get a better price rather than waiting till it’s public knowledge and the value is gone.
  11. Unless they are restricted.
  12. Not sure about the top 2 and top 4 Brodie but you could take the head to heads on the self service machines.
  13. You could take them at agencies from what I saw.
  14. Sorry my bad, I just new one of there place bets was a collect.
  15. They had a place bet that was a collect too. $17,000@ $4.20 I believe.
  16. Don’t think you can do multis on those markets.
  17. Are you not a fan of the Mexican greyhounds Brodie?
  18. This is money back rather than a bonus bet back though isn’t it?
  19. Wow you must be some punter Happy.
  20. I remember in early 2000’s there was one on a Saturday that was for a million dollars. From memory it was reasonably well publicised and there were all sorts of people that you didn’t normally see in a tab takening them. Rugby and League pools was another one that use to attract interest when the jackpot got up there.
  21. Both debit and credit cards incur that silly free don’t they? I am guessing a bank transfer doesn’t.
  22. I’m the same, I keep getting the deposit $20 and we will give you a $10 bonus bet when it’s actually pay $22 for $20 credit and a $10 bonus bet.
  23. Will they get rid of there silly credit card fee if that’s the case?
  24. What percentage do you consider us to be operating at Brodie?
  25. I guess it depends what you consider operating Brodie. Is a restaurant that’s doing take aways consider to be operating? I would assume so even though they are making nothing like they would if they were to open normally. I went down the main road of a town near where I live today and the only things not operating were the library a hair dressers, $2 shop and a dentists. Most of the offices would be working from home the retailers I saw were open but you couldn’t walk into the shop you had to order at the door.
