I would be thinking the novelty factor alone would have got people betting . Appears not . Information , what's that , there used to be information available , the TAB has done all it can to negate getting information to punters , so not sure that is relevent .
-
The thing is Mr Pitman , industry participants shouldn't have to go to anybody to get this information , an informative and transparent industry such as ours where participants are such an integral part of the industries success should be kept upto date as a matter curtesy , not all this cloak and dagger shit that has dogged the industry for decades , where some considered power brokers have all the information but all the other plebs who are really the ones who prop the industry up just have to make do with any little crumb of information they deign to drop off the top table . Obviously you are one of the chosen ones seeing as you appear to know information regarding stakes , makes me wonder what other titbits you choose not to share . And none of this is commercially sensitive , who are they competing with , it's an industry project , or are people thinking they are of such rare importance that only they should have this knowledge . They are fooling no one .

The pools were no larger than any other midweek meeting , just another MEH ! Wednsday Autumn raceday . I hope their just not relying on this being a game changer , because it simply isn't going to be , no matter how much people hype it up . I really want something or someone to turn NZ racing around , not the great as it used to be , just turn the flow and maybe start improving , but it aint this . They can hype it up as much as they want and talk about being positive but the reality is being realistic will get us further .

I've noticed that now that the jocks have worked out the pace that the front runners are starting to control better , and kick to win .
-
There does appear that only 1 or 2 in each race are really sprinting off it , be interesting to see if that trend continues .
-
Murrey Baker summed it up perfectly when Rodders asked him how his horses would go , he just if they handle it they will keep coming back every 2 weeks , simple .
-
Bernard Saundry a bit of a proud peacock , says these tracks will be used fro midweek racing and Sat's will be grass track racing , so i hope they are going to put on plenty of mdns on Sat's for the mdns that require wet tracks .

Aiden acting like all his xmas' have come at once , feel sorry for his wife in the boudoir .

I know it's early days with only 2 races run but the first 2 winners haven't even trialled on the track . So no adjustment needed with those 2 , although both trained at Matamata who have their own A/W training track .

Go cart racing .

Are there signs of cracks in the Cambridge AWT training ranks?

Question , is there any reason that the product that the A/W is made from cannot be dyed or coloured green in some way to make the surface more aesthetically appealling . -

And now the piss poor losers have decided to add a 1600 r65 at counties rather than split the r65 1600 at Te Rapa , got 32 nom's but can only run 14 , so that's 18 that don't get a run , what about the poor buggers near the bottom of the ratings , if all 18 choose to run at Counties , the bottom 4 miss again , that's before you add in the horses that have been set for the Counties races . When will they wake up , look after the people that are putting their hands in their pockets to race a horse , they are a pack of bludgers . This is them just trying to manage fields and doing a piss poor job of it , they could have put on a consolation of 10k , same stake as the counties race , and it ensures everybody is catered for . They deserve all the shit and criticism that falls on them , yet again failing racing participants . -

Welcome to NZ racing . -
A very flawed genius , and a wasted talent .

Well there was enough nom's to run 2 extra races . Go figure . -
Geez now you've just double downed on the difficulty of understanding level for them . If they have done any of that , and there is great doubt about , they're not sharing . No one , and i mean no one , has been able to produce anything that resembles any of the above . One would think if they had and it gave a positive spin on it all they're egos wouldn't be able resist putting it out there for public consumption . Plus they can't use the argument of commercial sensitivity as no one else is in competition with them . So we must deduce from all of that , that they have not done any of the above , but i am more than happy for someone to correct me . What some will say to me is that i am a naysayer and should be blindingly more positive and trusting in where they are taking us . But as i have said many a time , show me the information that will guide me into that positive frame of mind and i will gladly follow .

You mock me Freda , we have to protect the future .

I see they have canned the steeple chase for Hastings next Thursday due to the firmness of the steeple course and replaced with a jumpers flat 2500mtrs . We built A/W's to negate the loss of race meetings from too much rain , perhaps we need to build a jumps specific track which is kept relentlessly wet just to ensure we don't lose too many jumping races .

I have seen that they have run trials on it when it has been " slow " , are they going to give an indication of what level of slow or dead or heavy , does it get heavy ? , as they do with the grass surfaces i.e. slow 6,7,8 . Or is it mearly going to be good , dead , slow or heavy , as ever when it comes to track readings they do like to keep punters in the dark . -

Ha ok didn't see that , got a bit enthusiastic thinking they were getting pro active , should have known better . So i do wonder what the point is at keeping telling us that the track is synthetic with a given time , are they expecting it to change into another surface ? and if it does will they provide the given time it occured ? -

I see they are giving a reading for the track on Wednesday , 6.2 yesterday , showery today and a 7.32 reading . Be nice if they let us know exactly where these readings sit in relation to normal grass track readings . Obviously the wetter the higher the reading but does 7.32 mean dead 4 , 5 or 6 or is it still in the good range , if anybody knows give us the heads up please . -
No jumps Thurs , assume poor nom's .
-
That won't be an issue , because if they had xfered it a large majority would have scr'd as they require the wet track , so they would say it was justified because they still had a race meeting , even if the cup only had 10 runners .

Now B Popplewell reinforcing the bullshit agenda , ends the day saying we can look forward to Wednesday and the first raceday on an A/W in NZ and that they have carded enormous fields , really , wasn't it enormous nom's but only 12 horse fields carded , in fact the stayers race has only 10 runners . God knows what the limits will be at Awapuni , maybe greyhound sized fields . -
Victoria have only enough to ensure that in the middle of winter horses aren't going to miss opertunities because of too much rain , they understand that they aren't expecting them to prop up their industry . And even for an industry their size they don't programme meetings on them to the disadvantage of other courses .
