  1. Monday Morning Weather: Raining Track: Slow 8 Rail: True | 23mm Rain Last 24 Hours Weather and Track updated at 8am Monday 24 December
  2. First true test on Boxing Day A lot of rain fallen in Auckland with a lot more forecast today, but race day fortunately, looks like it will be fine. What's the update on the state of the track Nothing on NZTR yet
  3. But the plan is to eventually sell Cambridge to help fund the Waikato Greenfields project, so why not do it once and do it well
  4. Yeah and it's Xmas, and I actually did quite well off Rock On yesterday
  5. BOAY has never restricted freedom of choice, unfortunately the reverse does not apply, as many here are on the permanent moderation list on RC. I have a big issue with them(I alluded to one privately with you concerning privacy) I did something about it and helped the Chief get this site going, and they don't like it, tough, that's competition. Had the site been run properly in the first place instead of like a kangaroo court, BOAY would not exist, end of story. People will decide for themselves the various pros and cons
  6. Not my call
  7. Heresy I have a brain
  8. Can't kiss and tell
  9. Prefer a bit of Freddie Another One Bites the Dust We Are the Champions
  10. Certainly would prefer it, while you can't sanitise debate, things are getting more than a little bit too niggly whenever there is involvement on a thread. While he is not transgressing any rules of the site, the constant mischievous questioning, is tantamount to trolling, and not conducive to a good site environment.........not that a few others don't sail pretty close to the wind, but it's a matter of balance and they contribute significantly
  11. 134 vs 19 on Thoroughbred since this morning
  12. All good, keep it up
  13. Comp goes ahead regardless, on the Comp section Only thing at issue is what the prize ends up being, and I know most of you don't care, so it is irrelevant
  14. It's one of our businesses Grand a day before Xmas guaranteed return
  15. Nah, delivering the missus flowers today, but thanks anyway
  16. Between him and his bum buddy, they stuffed a perfectly good racing chat forum, so why would you have any confidence in what the guy has to say
  17. As I said before, it does not worry me in the slightest, in fact Mardi's suggestion on the prize is a very good one
  18. Thanks(Mardi) These comps are many things to many people, most don't care about the prize, more a bit of kudos about doing well and a bit of fun Look at it positively though Mardi, Barry and Curious. There are many on here who will be taking note of what you guys post, and re-examining the ways they punt As the cheese advert goes, these things take time And it is Xmas
  19. Thanks for the offer, but we'll keep it as stated As previously stated also, we will put something together along the lines of what you and Mardi have said in the New Year. A lot more time required, to run a comp like that, so Xmas New Year not ideal, for me anyway
  20. Right then, comp open, go for it, fields have been out a while, BEWARE early posters, a truckload of rain forecast for Auckland before Boxing Day Don't get too worried about the rules, just pick 10 horses and 2 best bets, and we'll do the rest Try not to post your entry on here, but if you do, I don't really care.
  21. Just to clarify the prize then 1. One $600 bet to the winner - win , place, each way?, when?, where" 2. Bet successful, they keep $300, plus 20% of anything above $600. A $1200 collect for instance, they keep $300 plus $120 = $420, the remaining $780 to a charity of the winners choice
  22. Very good Barry, the big fish are just as sweet You'll be all good for a donation then to the Boxing Day/NYD comp
  23. Remember in the thread it was claimed The Chief still owed money to a prominent CD trainer, perhaps that had something to do with it
  24. A lot less than 33, but other than that, pass, still learning
  25. Just so no one can point a Thomass finger at me. And posted well before Barry's post, so not cribbed hesi 1,309 Replied: 11 hours ago Greeting gents and good luck today I will go for a little bit of value with #3 Dolcetto in Comp Race 9 Good course stats, unlucky last time, has to strike form soon, in a weakish field I also like for a lot of value, Rock On in the Cup. Been watching it the last few starts and starting to run on nicely, so maybe today
