  1. I have a solution for you. You do your picks for each race at Te Aroha, along with a short spiel as to why the horse will win. PM them to either Doug or N1MUE before R1, both are entirely trustworthy people. They will publish them at the finish of R10. That way, nobody can suck your brain(I'm tempted to comment further but will resist)
  2. And you will not accept my challenge of putting up selections for Te Aroha on Saturday, and regardless of anything that has gone down prior, it is for a good cause($100 donation to charity), yet still you wriggle and squirm, as you will do again, in response to this post
  3. That was a suggestion I put up several months ago, in order to try and find a compromise, but didn't fly
  4. For a moment, one could be forgiven for thinking you were describing Racechat. I find the situation very sad, considering the amount of work I put in, helping to build up BOAY. I'm afraid it is not going to change though. the view is, that it is a reflection on the posters, not on the site
  5. Agree Von Smallhausen would also probably agree, as he has the wittiest sense of humour I have seen in all my time on these wretched forums
  6. If I upped it to a $1000 donation would you put up picks, etc for Te Aroha
  7. Didn't realise you had such a finely honed sense of humour Mardi
  8. A simple no, was all that was required to save these good people who still tolerate you from your filth
  9. So if you are that good, there should be no problem responding to my challenge. You have supposedly done it once before, what is the problem with trying to do it again
  10. Three songs for you on a Sunday avo
  11. I'll donate $100 to a charity of your choice(not you), if you put up a set off picks for each race at Te Aroha on Saturday, along with a short spiel on why you think that horse will win. It's not rocket science for someone of your skill, and some deserving charity will benefit
  12. Pre-race picks please
  13. Just what is the problem Thommo Someone supposedly so well versed in the intricacies of thoroughbred form assessment, should find no fear in putting up pre-race picks or their own market values. I challenge you to put up such for this Saturday's Te Aroha meeting, should be the most well read thread on here in awhile. Even a few of the regulars could do the same to support you
  14. You mean like Racechat, minus you, but unlike Racechat, we've only been going 6 weeks, and slowly but surely building. Quite a few posters put up their picks pre-race as well, which I have yet to see you do
  15. It's simply called competition, usually it improves things, the lack of it in the case of the TAB, is a case in point for the opposite. RC improved it's act when competition from BOAY came along Sure, we would like a whole lot of new members to join, because we believe we can keep a site free of squabbling and personal abuse, with sensible and respectful moderation,.which means people(Weasel) can pursue their love of talking about racing in a relaxed and fun manner, BUT people are free to join whatever site they want, they can actually join all 3 sites, that has never been an issue to us
  16. We have had 500 posts over 60 threads on Thoroughbred in the 5 weeks we have been going, no threads closed down. 2 mildly personally abusive posts, both were asked to leave it out, and the posts ditched, no more trouble. Harness is there, with a few posts, but just make sure you read the last line of the Welcome message, because that is what we are sticking to, and you are all living proof of what can happen if we don't
  17. It was inevitable You know what to do Just pointing out the last line of our welcome message though "If you want to generally cause trouble, not respect others, and jeopardise the good spirit that we are trying to build, then probably better to give it a miss, as the site is probably not for you."
  18. Semantics, end result is the same
  19. You are quite welcome to, go for it Just remember though Doug, from when BOAY was in it's infancy, it was a modus operandi you were happy to accept, in order to get members.
  20. One 'l' only please in Alan. Pete is in charge too, and doing a great job. Now how about some synergy? We will run a link to BOAY on The RP, if you reciprocate
  21. Well sit back and watch Doug, because that is how we intend to run The Race Place. Other ways to achieve that, than by just banning everyone, although some never get the message, so there is no other choice. I won't respond to your little bit of sarcasm Jasper, as we have a no sniping policy on The Race Place, bugger it just call it TRP, saves the fingers
  22. You might also like to explain how I could possibly 'burrow' into someone's private life when virtually everyone posts on here anonymously Sounds like more bs
  23. " I received a complaint this morning that you have been digging into a BOAY members personal life. If that is proven true by another source then you will be banned. It is dead against the principles of BOAY." Backtracking quite a bit aren't we
  24. What a load of bollocks over a trouble maker and troll known to anyone who frequents racing chat sites, Thomass for the uninitiated, and I fully support free speech, but not for trolls, I thought that was common sense Some of the comments about RC are absolutely spot on about the past, Joe Kidd you are right. But suggest a few check it out now, a lot of that stuff has gone, and the site is being run well. Anyway, I don't care whether the site continues or not, Thomas stays or goes or whatever. I have no enthusiasm left for the site, and an owner that tries to concoct that there was a complaint about me digging into a posters personal details, when he knows full well that I have never had access to personal details on BOAY. Bit mischievous there Doug, I hope you don't include honesty as one of your principles. And all this from someone who put 9 months into helping to build this site

If you don't believe me, have a look at the thread with my name on it at RC. They could have had a field day with it, with the issues over Thomass, but Scooby, to his credit, has quelled any further comment on it, not by closing the thread, but by a simple comment about what to focus on
