But there are no facilities for racing at Cambridge
-
I quite liked Cubes, and probably the disappointment in helping start BOAY get up and running, has been that he did not join up. He may have, but just hides it well
-
It's all under control Waipa are moving to the new Waikato complex, location unknown, in 2026 Sounds like a plan Wonder if the Auckland traffic planners had any input
-
No wonder you top scored in PJ's last comp Ian
-
Talking about TA horses, whats happened to Embellish. You could have said the same things about him this time last year. Beat TAS too
-
The major irony I thought anyway, was, the judgement on someone else's alleged poor personal habit, when the person delivered in a manner befitting an uncleaned toilet bowl
-
Raises the question of, do you schedule based on what is best for the horses, or what is best for racing overall. The Derby in March, clearly gives more time for the 3 year olds to mature, and is a lead into the derby at Randwick, but course attendance is poor The Derby on Boxing Day, gave 3 year olds more time, was out of sync with the racing in Aus, but was very popular, that is when the ARC allowed picnics, boot parties and BYO in the infield. It's ironic, that this was cut out, sure there were the troublemakers, but mainly it was 'middle NZ' enjoying a bit of relaxation at the races after Xmas Day, with the Xmas dinner leftovers and a bottle of wine. Now it's the nouveau riche getting pie eyed in the stands, which seems more acceptable. Can't beat tradition, look at NZ Cup Day at Riccarton, even though the field for the cup was piss poor

Decorum Started by chevy86, Friday at 09:57 PM 6 POSTS IN THIS TOPIC chevy86 Open Class - R121 MEMBERS Reputation: 1,408 Posts:1,486 LocationDetroit Report post Posted Friday at 09:57 PM Hey Scooby, what's happened to the recent Race Cafe decorum you have been lauding? Seems there is a newbie on the site who has followed up some implied slander of Robert Dunn with the temerity to call distinguished poster Tasman Man an "asshole". Best you drag him out (he lives in a dark recess just north of MP's anal sphincter) and give him a few with the rotan until he embraces civility. 1

If you look through the balance sheet for the most recent NZTR Annual Report, they don't even have a budget for Marketing and Promotion, I don't think they even have a Marketing person, so how can all this happen. Next they will be talking about an industry working group, you know the sort, that donate their time to 2 meetings per year..........amateurish
-
Anybody that did the decent thing and supported those being abused(and got moderated for their trouble) is now here, so that won't happen. Chevy started a thread about the supposed new found decorum over there, lets see if he has the balls to take issue..... I doubt it

That's a very good post Ghost You forgot the high degree of wank factor in many of his posts "I went to the gypsies Tuesday, superb day, thanks to Edward Rennel for looking after me, and the NZRB for having me at their table."
-
That wasn't the irony I was thinking of, but pretty good
-
Too gutless for that, as I understand
-
Anyone pick up the irony in this post?

The new decorum, you tell them Scoobs, it's your site blahblahblah Now just watch all the adoring sycophants and cronies fall about in admiration poundforpound Open Class - R121 MEMBERS Reputation: 1,252 Posts:1,382 Report post Posted 2 hours ago What a wonderful week. Riccarton was superb every day, peaking with an absolute blinder yesterday. I don’t know whether it’s just me but the CJC have no peer when it comes to accomodating owners and laying out the red carpet for their guests. I went to the gypsies Tuesday, superb day, thanks to Edward Rennel for looking after me, and the NZRB for having me at their table. Now Felaar, I understand a couple of low achievers from the cesspit have made less than gracious comments about him. I thought he did well this week, he’s still a year or two away from being a proper horse, he’s unfurnished and a bit angular, but he proved he could get a trip yesterday and that’ll determine his future plans. He couldn’t win giving them 12 lengths start when they run 35.25 off the front but he was genuine, and was the only one really running on. I had an opportunity to meet Chelsea Col and Cubes for a drink at Riccarton ( twice with Cubes ), what splendid company they are. Sadly I had to endure one of their friends, a very obese and unhygienic gross unwashed thing called Al Walker who apparently trades under the name Kakama ( translates in Maori to “a very big pile of shit ) Note to Al, lose some weight you big sweaty fat cxxt, and get some deodorant, you smell like a Turkish wrestlers jock strap you filthy bastard. Stop fiddling with farm animals too, they leave an unpleasant smell on you fella, and change your panty liners more than once a fortnight, yours smell of stale urine. Orher than having to endure the fat fetid fickwit Al Wanker I thought it was a splendid week, and I’ll be back next year to boost the local economy again. Thank you again CJC, you’re doing a mighty fine job.

He let rip at a lot of people, under protection of his bum buddy. That was the issue many had, as when they tried to let rip back, they got moderated......... kangaroo court. Anyway, the chickens are coming home to roost now, as debate on the site becomes almost non-existent. They'll wheel him out soon to provide the paid entertainment and keep the cronies, sycophants and sadomasochists happy

More 'pretty' writing from NZTR, this is pie in the sky, fanciful stuff, where are the dollars, promotion costs big money The Promotion While the components of the promotion to support the proposed new Carnivals are yet to be fully defined the summary below provides insight into the vision: ● Supported by the LOVERACING.NZ brand ● Secure a major sponsor(s). ● Partner with NZRB and Trackside (TV and Radio). ● Partner with NZ Media Networks. ● Partner with Australian Wagering Operators and Content Publishers. ● Partner with Australian Media Networks – Racing.com, Channel 7, radio platforms RSN etc. ● Develop and retain ambassadors and influencers. ● Partner with a charity. ● Leverage the history of feature NZ Group Racing. ● Integration with breeding sales periods ● Develop link to regional tourism authorities and Tourism NZ.

Recommend you get your water checked DB
-
The race is literally an R90 grade
-
In fairness to Trackside, and hindsight being a wonderful thing. They didn't know there were not any serious consequences coming out of the incident, such as a horse breaking a leg or a driver being seriously injured. In the case of the latter there are family to think about
-
If they had awards for best photograph of the year, this would get it, classic. What do they say nowadays, it would go viral Fortunately no serious consequences for drivers or horses, so okay to talk about it. Ben Hur would love it
-
That would be the site that didn't exist 8 months ago and is now vying for market leadership. All thanks to the dimwit and his puppet master

In retrospect, you have to put the win into perspective. Great turn off foot, huge margin easing down, widest around the turn, a tick over 33 secs for the last 600m, BUT, beat nothing, and the time was slow. So who knows, but an exciting journey to be embarking on for the connections
