Perfect drive by Samantha just then on QUIK SHOT at Addington too. But run down by tricky Ricky May who tracked her all the way very unfortunately for the Quik Shot at good 10-1 odds .... go away Ricky ... menace lol........

What about Sam Ottley then Forbs? I Always thought she gave it a decent crack?. 600 odd wins from 6000 odd drives without having the best horse-power to drive. seems pretty good. I was hoping she could of won one of those Group 1's with LA ROSA last season, but got beat a nose a couple of times by the Allstars with 'Bettor Twist'. BETTOR TWIST winning easily just now tonight at Addington for Nat !!! fantastic. 4-1 odds !! hope you got on ... Why didn't your mate BEN HOPE put Nat on Muscle Mountain ???? would be a winner then ? Nat drove a winner for Ben Hope the other day while he was suspended. I hate seeing those good trotters galloping out the back like Muscle Mountain tonight. Is a real shame......

We're pretty lucky in Queensland too Davis !!! . Pete McMullen is the leading (equal with Dixon) trainer/ driver , but wow .... his 3 sisters of Taleah, Narissa and Danielle are just fantastic at rating winners as well , and get plenty of them. along with Brittany Graham too, who drives well when not interviewing Kate Gath after yet another Big Win for her lol....

Ashame to see Matty Williamson suspended amongst the spuds
Gammalite replied to Gammalite's topic in Trotting Chat
Invercargill HRC - Friday, 25th February 2022 Race 7 - VET SOUTH EQUINE SOUTHERN BELLE SPEED SERIES MOBILE PACE Driver B Williamson (MABALENE) admitted a charge pursuant to Rule 869(3)(g) in that he drove in a manner likely to diminish the chances of his runner finishing in its best possible position when unsuccessfully challenging for the lead for a considerable distance through the middle stages with no respite. After viewing replays and hearing penalty submissions the Adjudicative Committee suspended Mr Williamson's licence to drive from the conclusion of racing 6 March 2022 up to and including 20 March 2022 (8 days). No mention of TIM WILLIAMS deminishing his horses chances ??? crazy times at NZ trots lol.. Looks Like it is Brad Williamson and NOT Matt Williamson, that was driving MABALENE. So it should read Brad in the first Instance. (is unlucky to get suspended.) Can you correct that Chief ? -
Ashame to see Matty Williamson suspended amongst the spuds
Gammalite posted a topic in Trotting Chat
See in the NZ news Chief Doug is preparing for race driving ?? sitting on wheels here , in readiness to be pulled by a horse to be another NZ Spud driver. ?? Matty Williamson one of the few 'non-spud' drivers that gets suspended for having a go in a race, when took the leader on (when Tim Williams fault) SURELY , you are still allowed to take the leader on ???? are they (drivers) all turning into quiet spuds ? Timmy should of watched Luke McCarthy at Menangle in the Miracle Mile to see how you cope with early outside pressure , and he might LEARN something. Couple who believed they had dug up the world’s largest potato in the garden of their small farm near Hamilton have had their dreams turned to mash Doug sits on a trolly in a garden at Donna and Colin Craig-Browns home near Hamilton, New Zealand. King Of Swing Retired After Third Miracle Mile Win.
Gammalite replied to Chief Stipe's topic in Trotting Chat
4 starts for 4 wins this year Brodster over all distances , and Not just a Sprinter. Don't forget just last month he WON with ease one of Australia's greatest races over 2800m . The Hunter Cup. defeating Spirit of St Louis and crack NZ stayer Amazing Dream in fast time. One of the very best over any distance his record reflects. A true All-rounder like Gamma lol.... KING OF SWING finishes with 44 wins from 82 career starts and $3.3 Million earnings. By Jingo's !!!! he may of even been a chance of beating GAMMALITE with that sort of record ? lol.... -
The owners fit in the equation. Village Kid won a couple of Miracle Miles but was 'sold off' by Mr Notman to the West of Australia so has to be an Australian win I guess. Don't sell off your assets is the answer lol..... Great Win for NZ just now in the Newmarket !!! at Flemington. Roch n Horse picking up a cool $Mill for the owners. (hopefully a combo of Nz and Aus ones) party time NZ tonight

Hey I wonder if he'll get Muscle Mountain to muck around with then ?? I would Pay to go to the trots to see that lol,.... if Nat was driving 'Muscle Mountain' for Ben Hope, up against champion 'Sundee's Son' . What a contest that would be ????. (In fairness to Ben , he did steer Muscle Mountain to a Group 1 win over Sundee already once before)

$1,000,000 Miracle Mile is on tonight , biggest Oz race. I count Spirit of St Louis as the NZ runner on this occasion. Is a jolly great show of taking it out too. Last week the kiwi in the NSW Derby final was a good 2nd >> MAJOR PERRY . I was delighted with the winner though with mate Grant Dixon training/driving the Queenslander LEAP OF FAME to victory though (won 9 of last 10 now) to stick it to the NSW boys anyway lol.....

Oh yes I see. I clicked on BEN's name on the HRNZ site and it said 3 Wins from 5 starters !!! wow.... bet he wishes he can keep that strike rate up !! excellent stuff. Yes a few Woodend Distractors around the forums are gunna be devastated with these results. Suck it up fellas..... Ben from a class family with class results like Dunn's , Purdon's etc..... Love it when the new blokes win too, keeps the oldies on their toes lol.......

New trainer Ben Hope put Natalie on REFINE to drive last night at Addington with Instant Top result. $5 win. Well done Ben ! if that's his first training success. and thanks Very much for the driving engagement. good for the pocket. The Aussie girl Nat , naturally winning with her other drive too. Shan Noble. Alas the 35-1 double for Nat went begging as I'm a bit shy of Shan these days. Has been a year since his huge 4th in the NZ derby to KRUG as well, when circled the field from poor draw to sit parked. Had huge multi at $4 place on Shan Noble riding in the derby too, but THE FALCON pipped him for 1/2 head third. Of course The Falcon beaten last night by Shan Noble lol..... that hurts.....lol. But anyway, Well done Mr Ben Hope !! like Brent Mangos with the huge success he had with putting Natalie Rasmussen on SOUTH COAST ARDEN for the Jewels and NZ FFA past year. very smart driving engagements. will more trainers follow that lead now ???????????? I'm about to rip down my Vinnie Knight, Steve Irwin and Shane Warne posters off the wall, as the boys are going down like flies and pop up a Natalie one !!! will look great !!!

Can see what you are saying about a large penalty for frivolous things. But Integrity IS NOT BEING Lost. Steve Smith got large suspension penalty costing him millions $ because someone in his team used Sandpaper on a cricket Ball ) frivolous beyond belief IMO. People have been rubbing the ball on pants buttons , bottle caps , etc for decades. Did it myself. If people ARE BEING caught and PENALISED Chief ....... this means Integrity is HIGH . Rules breaks are Not Ignored. All good ..... Mr Galah is on the money , Integrity is being shown with ENFORCING the RULES . all good. BTW I think getting speeding tickets for small breaks of the speed limit is frivolous too, but you need rules ......... and you need to penalise the rule breakers ???? Steve Smith didn't even touch the ball himself so was well and truly 'Ripped Off ' lol...........

My personal opinion is its a good rule. (No syringe or Tubing raceday) Solution = Tell Ms Wigg to use a spoon or feedbin as suggested on this thread, and/or worm on a day that is Not raceday . very easy. She probably will from now on too lol....... I've been to the races with trainers who have sneaked a syringe of something in the truck or at the 'wash bay' was more common so you could wash the neck a bit to hide injection evidence if need be. you are just cooling 'hot' horse after transport apparently. Whether you think 'Stewards in trees' spying is bad for Wigg , etc , or whether caught by dobbers (possibly like Alford) or even seen from outer space satellite , or long distance binoculars, if trainers break the rules , they deserve to get caught.??? (including those road driving at 70kph in the 60 zone, etc IMO lol... I always drive at the limit or under speed or drink and have had NO Penalties therefore ?? It's easy . Race driving has rules too. But blame the horse for errors (interference, etc) then, lol........ and there are a lot of 'silly rules' too. BUT you just have to go along with them , OR do something else altogeather where you can follow the 'rules'. many did with the silly whip rules too !!!

A great level of disrespect for authority comes to a head on forums. Not just governments slammed for 'making decisions ' for the well-fare of the nation. But racing rules as well. Rules are Rules. You break them , you are penalised . (just as you would be for breaking road rules whether you think are 'Stupid rules ' or Not. you can't make exemptions for excuses . I'm sure Ms Wigg realises that and can cop it on the chin. (her penalty) Really the stuff tubed on race-day is quite benign as well , but has some effect on performance. So it's not really the 'CONTENT ' of the syringe on raceday that is the rule breaker. It was syringing and/or tubing action. Most QLD stables tube drench the day after the race , to aid recovery. Raceday administration is not an option. Race day treatments via Syringe/ tube are banned. Therefore through this thread the Galah is correct. Penalty stands unfortunately. (for her) Rules are Rules. Foul play would be commonplace without them?.. Mr Alford.

I'm running out of icons to look up to with the latest one to be bowled out overnight in Shane Warne. With 2 of the best Aussies passing young in Vinny Knight , a good friend and fabulous horseman, Steve Irwin (the crocodile Hunter and loved by the nation) now Warnie has checked out (almost in sympathy for Rod Marsh who passed this week as well) Every Australian bloke enjoyed his on-field and off-field antics and Flambouyant life-style , that cost him his marraige to Simone , but not his character. Like many a rock-star like Elvis or Freddie , Warnie has left us after a fine Innings , where he scored more than any of us could hope for. (including Liz , lol..... ) RIP Warnie 🏏🏏🏏🏏

Hot to Trot was young Nathan today with 5 wins in a row while in the 'Groove' . a nice day at the office. SAND WAVE looks the pick of them , and had the fastest time, with another solid win. Are they getting slower at Winton than they used to. ? or a drivers 'sitting in' to very late in the race or something. ? looks very slow sectional times in a few races today.
-
Nah , they are just doing things like mix saddlecloths to keep him entertained lol.

Can anyone explain this RIB decision - 23 Feb 2022 - Race 6
Gammalite replied to Chief Stipe's topic in Trotting Chat
The NZ Tab sponsored 'BIG fence obstacle'. Here come the 'restricted' riders and punters now.... -
Looked a beautiful day at the South islands trots at least. SouthE Qld is terrible with 3 days downpour non stop. I'm ok thanks but nothing can do for a couple of trotting mates. One has a metre deep water through his house and has been evacuated from Caboolture (just north of Brissy) and the other has a foot of water in his house. was looking at photos he sent . what a shocker. Chaos everywhere. Gone crazy like the Ukraine. Well they still raced NSW last night and King of Swing ran 'parked out ' last lap and ran 1.47.9 mile last night. OMG. and Grant Dixon took 2 Queenslanders down for the NSW derby heats and won both of them !! how good ? MAJOR PERRY won the third Derby Heat for NZ !!!! excellent stuff. The locals there will be annoyed lol.....
-
Wow , not only is VE a great ambassador for the NZ breeding industry, she has won in NZ for her early fans and owners too , and that breath-taking Melbourne Cup win recently was the stuff of Champions.!!!! Winx would of struggled to do that. So if she does the France 'Arc' trip , and becomes the best in the world, Winx will live in her shadow lol.......

Going to miss the Oamaru racing now , as rain is still pounding down after 2 days Brisvegas, and houses are leaking so have to go look at that for repairs. never seen anything like it. In the meanwhile here is another fine kiwi horseman winning the Waikuaiti Cup very easily as Robert Cameron did above as CosmicB spotted with 'Bionic Star'. Here's another one to name ???? Here's a nice horse on his day , and a trainer still winning Big races in very recent times lol...

Does Amore Vita have the 2022 NSW Oaks at her mercy?
Gammalite replied to Chief Stipe's topic in Trotting Chat
NATHAN JACK ! back from the years out disqualified. What a driver he was ! and still is ! winning from that alley. Overpowering Madrid late in the piece to take the victory with JUST HOPE. 10/10 drive. AMORE VITA very game parked out last lap and close up 3rd. Nathan Purdon would be proud of her still. A -
A great edition of the race set to go on Sunday . some more good tough horses. Lets see a couple of Waikouaiti Cup winners from the past , and see who can spot up the horse and driver . Here's the first one......

Spose .... Brad could of yelled 3 simple words to Tim " Come Back Round" and we wouldn't have this silly thread. Anyway, another day they'll race again. No comment on stupid whip rules , hate the things. Better off watching Verry Elleegant fight like a Tiger >>>>> go girl !!!!!!!!!!!! VE better than Winx IMO lol.........
-
That's Exactly right. But Brad poured on the pressure so 'that plan' of Tims' was coming unstuck obviously. As I said earlier , they were clear of the field so a Good Decision would be LET them go , then whip around that runner to the front again. Happens all the time in Aus. Maybe not a known tactic in NZ ?? not by Williams seemingly anyway. Gassed his horse and ran unplaced instead.
