Adore Me would be too fast or too strong. She won about $1.5 million. 1.47.7 mile over at Menangle and a two mile win at Addington in 3.54.6 standing start. Wow , I get tired just thinking about trying to keep up with that ............

King of Swing was last week mate, personally I think Shane Graham handing up cheaply to it with 3 time G1 NZ winner TURN IT UP was a bit more questionable than this weeks Christmas Cup (as lost all chance of winning) BUT thats just my opinion , as is this weeks race. Go Pat Enteebee on back if you think he's right. I don't call horses fleas but go right ahead, very respectful of you. SORRY you didn't call 4 drivers in one race fleas , you just call them Cheats instead !!! lol...... (humour Mikie humour) You put Too many questions to answer Mikie (you must of asked near 20) you watch race yourself as you are already calling me blind. so why bother with all the questions to me , as you are just stirring and have your own opinions , right across Australia it seems. Maybe one day you will appreciate the participants a bit more , but for now chat to FORBURY ! he's got Great opinions!!! and they might be the same as yours.

My opinion is you are reading the race poorly. COLT THIRTY ONE wasn't attacked by anyone. Also have explained to you previously , why Luke McCarthys name Not on trainers licence. You're not happy with it . TOO bad ! the way it is , they wouldn't be doing it if not allowed to do it Mikie. Why family members and stablemates being in the same races is a Poison for you is sad, (for you it seems) but is Normal life and has always happened in Australia and NZ . Try and enjoy the racing !! You ask yourself too many questions Mikie . All the enjoyment is gone for you . fleas and flea drivers ? embarassing

I mean that that disqualified trainer is the Arsehole (not the poster person ) sorry for poor wording.
-
I think you are popping in with Adore Me and Blossom Lady in that case ? Gammalite always had to deal with Delightful Lady, Armalight and Bonnie's Chance. A great trio of NZ mares!!. The AUCKLAND CUP about to go over there for 2020. The 'Lady' won 2 Auckland Cups brilliantly in 80 and 81, Armalight won Auckland Cup in 83 and slotted right in between GAMMALITE in 1982 who held out Bonnie's Chance (just) phew ! to stop your lovely 3 mares getting Grandslam of mares Auckland cups! sorry about that.

I feel the dizzy heights of racing FRed may of got them a little spoilt winning the NZ cup. Funny story with 'Red' from Tassie is Barry Rattray saw he was for sale down there in Tas , picked him up for 20k, then rang QLD and off-loaded him for 40k quite promptly !! Easy 20k profit ?? well done him I guess. Your man NJ did win the Trotters FFA last Sat night with McLovin (as you would know) That qld trainer of Red is a national disgrace and is the dodgy one. many times DQ , and ultimately is the bloke with the racing fixing 3k bet on Shane Graham and Vicki Rasmussen horse that got both them DQ 3 years ago. Arsehole How nice to see them back !! (Shane and Vicki) and winning with ONE CHANGE too !! as we see in thread.

Goodness me, more heads are rolling, ??? Pete McMullen now . QLD leading driver no less and a great bloke and fantastic driver of the DD type. Jumps on anything (any old horse) and gets it to go. Get time you say ? on a 125-1 shot while he tried to get up around field to trail COLT THIRTY ONE for the last lap. VERY UNFORTUNATELY for him Grant went to the Death seat first (pulling out of 1-1 trail) before he got round the field with KingofStars. Why travel 3 wide the last lap and GUT your horse. so he pulled back to the back of field a lap out. THINGS DON"T ALWAYS work out how you want . ... Does that help ?? Can you read the race better than Mikie now ? year out for that? crazy talk? and just after Galah has the 'Goat' Mark Purdon DQed as well , lol...... com'on guys ... these guys drive 100's of races and not only that , THEY WIN 100's of races......
-
What an amazing record by that mare.! Never heard of it before, but based on that report, SHARTIN must be in the Top 10 BEST NZ bred horses ever. ! Congrats to the NZ Breeder !!!
-
sorry Mikie , I didn't see any of that personally. AND DEFINITELY am not calling for 'years Out.' seriously? between you Forbury and Galah , there would be NO-ONE left driving ?? (tongue in cheek?) humour is good You want to take out 3 or 4 out at a time ?? been listening to Forbury too much ? hehe (joke) I would of loved COLT THIRTY ONE to win, Grant is a friend of mine. Shane Graham did him with great tactics and daring with the ALLstars horse. Full credit to him. No need to decimate driving ranks after the fact ?? Good grief man , the first three in the lead photo of this thread all had their Chance? the others Not good enough were Waaaay back 6 lengths behind these 3. How on earth was anyone deserving a Year Off????? I think overall , that I , and in fact you as well , appreciate a good winning drive , and I admire it for what it was/is. APPRECIATE the racing , and enjoy !! It's very competitive !

Tell ya what Karrots, if you want to see a perfect 10/10 drive (on a low class horse on a fast track) check out Jessica Young-Grant's drive on KATHERINE R3 from Addington on Friday just gone. Well done Jess !! She part owns Katherine too, so must be really excited with that win ...lol

Haha that good, I did answer your question ( I said my opinion was Not pathetic about the QLD stipes) So why I am I not allowed to ask a return question as we move on ??? lol .., the irony of that last question hahh Sunday fun. (please don't take too seriously) lol I do not want to criticise your NZ stipes thanks, You are thinking of FORBURY and friends hehe... in fact I have made a point of RESOLUTELY DEFENDING your stipes and drivers through my posts. Every race virtually , drivers make decisions that are Winning ones or Losing ones as well as needing some Luck on occasion. COLT THIRTY ONE has roughed a few in his day .Grant has MASSIVE experience. They both win regularly. BUT , You Can't Win Them ALL ... we'd be Feet up on the French riviera sipping the Champers if that was the case.
-
COLT THIRTY ONE , one of my absolute favourites . First time missed being in the quinella last 20 starts I think. (by 1/2 head) Slow away he was after drawing the 1 , so full credit the winner really, At least COLT THIRTY ONE won it last year. Couldn't lose punt on him last night as too short to back !..... lol. Toughed it out gamely "in the death' last night, just like last week in the G1 behind King Of Swing , and just like Gammalite in his day as well. I would Stewards NOT Pathetic here at all. In fact , they are VERY tough. Winning driver last night, Shane Graham, just back from 2 years 'OFF' for dodgy race, as also is the premier Trainers wife Trista Dixon, back this past year after a year out as well , for dodgy drive. Vicki Rasmussen year off training as well. Are the stewards doing good job there in NZ ?
-
Well after winning a swag of Cups the last few years ALLstars now add the QLD Christmas Cup to their Santa sack with grand 3 year old ONE CHANGE. Now trained by Natalie's sister Vicki Rasmussen, as another fine cog in their wheel, and expertly handled by one of Australasia's best reinsmen SHANE GRAHAM. He has knocked over the all conquering McCarthy barn horse, and the Super horse COLT THIRTY ONE ($1.15 fav) 6 lengths back to 4th. What a great duel. oh boy ! NZ turns out some beauties !!
-
Have a look at "THE BOX SEAT Dec 16th" on the NZ harness racing site under category Video . I hadn't seen that show before , and not too bad, as pretty rational Blokes. On the show , Natalie gives a Brilliant description of the Queen of Hearts race horses and tactics , and this is sure to put your mind at ease, on the topic. A beautiful person, driver, and speaker. You will enjoy very much, and she explains it all so much better than Poor old Gammalite. Have a great weekend !!!

Very good Galah !! I am BEHIND as you say hehe, behind the leader just like Big MachSoaky or Amazing Dream, and driving a Brilliant race.! How are you going up front ? better than LA Rosa I hope ?. sitting duck for the trailing horse. Please note, Was not comparing the 2 horses at all , just how the drivers drove them. Gammalite never quit fortunately , and went on to win an AUCKLAND CUP too. what a legend. Funnily enough Galah , Gammalite knocked poor old John Noble into a gallop in that big Interdominion GF win at Auckland 83' to get in behind the leader Popular Alm. (now that was cheating a little I would say ........lol.......

Quite funny how last Friday you , Galah and others were crying FOUL with Amazing Dream drawn 1. handing up the lead during the race The WINNER of this race you are talking about with Italian Lad, was an outsider MACH LITTLE SOAKY . His Draw was 1 , gave up the lead halfway, then Ran Past Leader the equal fav LA ROSA up the passing Lane ?? Geez, I hope you and Galah saw it ok, so you see what an advantage trailing the leader is. ????? MACH LITTLE SOAKY no doubt a great drive, but Mark a cheat according to you guys??? after doing exactly the same thing . ??? goodness me.... try an learn something by watching Marks brilliant driving .

Thanks Globe !! yeah I suddenly realised that was Lord Module's year when talking about the fantastic NZ Cup win today by Hands Down in 1980. Congrat's on big win today By Dark Horse !! (and also the amazing run by MMan) last week , just loved that drive as made the winner run a national record to beat him I think the commentator said. Gave it everything.
-
You literally cannot watch a race without all these crazy accusations Forbury. I'm in Oz and enjoying the NZ racing this month . I had my 100 on Classie Brigade today. I'm not grizzling in the slightest. Race fixing team driving you say? WTF he was trying desparately to win on the leader , but again it swished it tail and stopped the last bit , as it did in the Green Mile last time. Stablemate beat it , just as he did last time. I'll tell you !!! you are dreaming. Maybe Vinnie race fixed in Auckland so Gammalite could win Interdominion ? yes?

That fast 10 races is done and dusted Mikie. A great innovation ! Only 2.30 in the afternoon here in QLD. You would do me like a dinner with selections with the local knowledge anyway. My win bet today was Classie Brigade and he got rolled. Thought he would jog that in against 5 rivals, after NZ cup placing and running in an Interdominion Final, but guess he did swish tail and lose 2nd at the end of that Green Mile at his last start. so not a happy horse totally at the moment. A poor bet. Best of luck to all having a bet tonight or weekend as well.

Well it's time for a bit of fun as don't know these horses , but here's how to pick the card the GAMMALITE way lol Race 1 . Two Menny Muscles, good driver, good draw, good bet Race 2. Nirvana Beach , Place Only , good driver, good draw, Race 3. Evangelist sure to be 'blessed' in the running Race 4 . Firefox deserves a win , surely this time. might run 2nd lol Race 5 Majestic Chick weak field , so take the good draw for a Place Only Race 6 . Chal Patch drew the Ace, Blair on, top trainer, should be winning Race 7. Classie Brigade fast class races , just reverse the class order , should finish 6-5-4-3-2-1 lol... Race 8. Voodoo priestess Pig of a draw , but Top trainer and weaker class field than she has raced lately. Race 9 Heavyweight Hero Will be throwing his weight around ok, if he trots Race 10 . BOOM !! say no more. lol Gammalite has $1 on sportsbet at $4000-1 odds thank you very much !! now for 8 winners and 2 placings . What could go wrong ?
-
Karrots , to fill you in Hands Down was a rogue in early starts of his career . His First 5 starts he was very heavily supported across all of NZ but failed with bad manners every time. Crashed to the track at Forbury even. oh dear. BUT in the most incredible rise through the grades ever seen, The amazing Trainer, the late Derek Jones MNZM took him through the grades with 10 wins at a rate only the Space shuttle could beat. Low class performer Easter 1980 then Open class by August.!! amazing , a quick spell and a FLOP at Forbury again which had people wondering about NZ Cup dream. But in one of the most Sensational wins ever , HANDS DOWN , came again after the Queen of the north Delightful Lady had headed him off , and he won the CUP in 4.07. and then for 'creme on the cake' , 3 days later he won the NZ FFA as well beating Lord Module. Well done Derek !
-
I can still hear the race callers words now. "Hands Down ! He's down alright!" as he flipped over.
-
Someone like Hilarious Guest and Peter Jones were taking on OPen class as a three year old so that was a BIG ask. causes them to burn out chasing the hard fast ones before they are ready for that sort of task.
-
Well ...ummmm .....aaaaahhhh no? I had tickled neck for those races . Crashed my bike into a car trying to rush home to see the 80' NZ Cup with Lord Module. Very unlikely to crash anything to get home to see Self Assured hehehehehe
-
You are extra lucky to of seen both the Champions of all time. !!(Quinny should of got on a Postage Stamp like Cardy to be immortal too) Mikey was just talking about Henry Skinner who drove Sapling to just Nab Quinny in his retirement race for 3rd. 1980 Auckland CUP and the queen of the Park won Delightful Lady from Lord Module , BUT Young Quinn !!! wow ! the only time I ever saw him , and the best 4th you ever seen by a retiring horse , after he returned from USA , and was running 2nd last a lap out and trailed up into the mix , right up there with Those 3 greats in his final run. . What a beautie !!!
