Happy new year to you too Forbury . My limits (self imposed) are not looking for 1k at a time, but am sure they would review it if they were. I go in with max 500 per week (usual most on any one horse would be 100) so get by fine winning 500 . usually thoroughbreds (VIC) are the best value and lowest risk . Using a limit is very Important . to either TAB and/or one's self if you want to win on the punt.

Paddy P seems to favour Irish and UK races. Am very sorry the NZ tab doesn't meet your needs. Is quite alarming in QLD the online TAB betting is virtually a different agent than going down the road to an agency. They are trying to get everyone to do everything on-line so they can keep tabs on you , rather than the anonymous bets at an agency. Proposition numbers are even different for the same events. And 'offers" vary. So currently I am using 33 %online tab, 33% tab agency , 33% Sportsbet. No bets refused so far.

Hey I see the New Years Eve selection at Alex Park for the big farewell for Mark and Nat has been set up by Chief and Karrots. Gammalite (a brilliant Auckland Cup winner 1982) is back to clean up 2020 !! what a fine performer.!!!!! I"ll pop my selections there to leave you and Chief in the dust Karrots !!!

Just checking form and hard to go past a top NZ cup winning trainer (Court), with top driver Blair O on board . both drawn 2 , so right in the firing line . RACE 2 Magic sign RACE 8 Stavros the Terror. Also Graham has 3 Very decent , very recent Grass track winners engaged with Sheree Tomlinson driving. RACE 9 Gilligan's Island, RACE 10 No Time Like Now (sweet belle likely to go close in this race ) RACE 12 Mongolian Marshall so if you like her driving ,they must all be a chance. This bloke CAN train a winner.!! he is a gun.

In Australia you can apply to the Chairman of stewards in your state to race a one eyed harness horse. They may grant permission if trials satisfactorily. It is an offence to not apply to stewards before racing. TWO EYE SEE won a Group 1 a few years ago (20 wins from 50 starts) after lost eye as a foal in paddock accident. Probably the same in NZ (not 100% on that but nearly all rules are common)

Horse went brilliantly last start in a G2. I am hoping She gets the Reward of a Win today.!!! fingers crossed.

What a great display from NZ's best trotters !! They are having some fantastic contests lately. Doing NZ trainers, drivers, owners of the trotters proud. Not sure who gets the vote for Best ever? Perhaps LYELL CREEK with 56 wins from his 113 races ? SCOTCH NOTCH did well for Australia (2 x Interdominions) and the Late Great Graeme Lang who sadly passed away early this year , perhaps with broken heart , just one month after his son , The Late Gavin Lang did with cancer. The end of 2 Amazing era's in Aus Harness racing. The latest generation see's TOUGH MONARCH , the only one from Aus doing battle with the fine kiwi trotters lately, placed in the Dominion H'cap, but a little short of winning form. Ex- kiwi Tornado Valley has cleaned up for a year or 2 in Oz, but maybe coming to the end of his dominance now. All hope is with Matty Craven and the new star (hopefully) 3 year old trotter PINK GALAHS . (the Galah BOAY would even like her.... ,lol.) PINK GALAHS (10 wins from 13 this year) won the Victoria Oaks and Victoria Derby G1's in October , but did the sensational job at that time, of taking on the OPEN class big boys in a GROUP 1 as well , and Won in 1.54.3. Tornado Valley and Tough Monarch amongst the beaten brigade. (crazy good for 3 year old filly) So am hoping PINK GALAHS comes back well, for some Great racing and contests with MMan and Sundee if we are lucky as fans of great racing. Mark getting beat on Amazing Dream and Italian Lad must be like enraging, as Forbury is expecting him to WIN all the time !! Yeah , I think he was feeling more guilty than forgiving. But you can't do anything about poor Stipe decisions. I only got suspended once , and that was to take the blame for another poor young chap on a badly hanging horse as it didn't worry me. couple of weeks on the French Riviera to enjoy ! (sideline anyway ...lol) Poor Pete did absolutely nothing wrong in our Christmas Cup , (IMO), victim of circumstance . Grant and I were scratching our heads ,but onward and upward !!! As a magic race for GAMMALITE , but been battling Galah (with the Amazing Dream drive) and Forbury (with every drive , every race he watches..lol) so might leave you to battle with Brodie and Karrots for now. The start looked awful chief , mainly because you VERY very rarely see a horse throw away the huge advantage in QLD 'shortcourse' racing , and 'Leave the Fence' so to speak. This race in question was a longer journey than the norm , and this was Big striding COLT THIRTY ONE too. probably wins the race if he drew 2 instead of 1 . but that's life ! and Mikie (like me too) would of been delighted. AGGRESSION ! yeah , get the readers to google 1983 Interdominion Final to see GAMMALITE aggression , knocking down El Regale (drew 1 on second row) to get in behind Popular Alm. Oh no! the vision just misses that but you can see EL REGALE (poor old John Noble) galloping and settling 4 back the fence. No trail today John !! crazy times.

Hi Mikie, I wasn't gunna post on this again as was trying to Post something nice for NZ and it didn't work. and now the shit has hit the fan it seems. with you guys. and I feel guilty. YOU ARE CORRECT in something happened the Stipes didn't like SADLY (You Should Be A Stipe !!) and Pete was suspended. I didn't even notice ANY of this personally (wouldn't of posted to start contraversy otherwise ), and so am saying I don't agree with the stipes nor your assessment of the race. I spoke to Grant to see "What's going on?" Pete got suspended? Grant says at the mile peg he came out sharply of the 1 out 1 back trail contacting Lilac and putting it out 4 wide , thus leaving Petes Horse on Colts back. It FOLLOWED through behind colt inside Lilac . Lilac instantly pulled back to the rear as no chance after. Pete did the same 300m later. WHat's the big Deal ????? not cheats , just unlucky. Grant says he was lucky to get only $200 fine , instead of the 3 weeks suspension for 'Skittling" those 2 horses and putting them out of the race. He says he left them out to Dry , but that's racing ??? He Was not attacked at all . He tried to attack the leader from the 300m and came up head and a bit short. I hope that helps your Assessment !! Trailed the leader, couldn't keep up from down the back . You're a hard marker mate!! She did something wrong too? No because I'm actually still supporting the sport and drivers. KingoftheStars and Lilac Flash were both LAST at the bell 1000m Out. At the 800m NO ONE was near COLT THIRTY ONE. the second placegetter BRIGHT ENERGY back in the field commenced his run at this stage but was NO WHERE near COLT THIRTY ONE . Bright Energy came up to his wheel then switched back to inside 400m out. Does that help ?? COLT THIRTY ONE had No-one outside him from the 1200m to the finish ???? Pretty lucky for him compared to usual pressure he gets ? Are you watching the same race as me? DON'T believe ME if YOU don't want too. Yes , have just had a look at the stewards report and Pete has a three week suspension for Unacceptable Drive. Grant also got a $200 fine for coming out abruptly after first lap and contacting Lilac F which sent it wider on track. So you are correct then Mikie ! the stewards saw something they didn't like!!, as well as you. I still don't agree with Pete being guilty of anything myself (Opinion) as was trying something that didn't work. Apologies for last sentence of post prior as comparing your opinion with Forbury is not nice. (terrible) and apologies if any of humour not appreciated. Agree with you about the McCarthy set up. I think they'll all be in USA soon with Andy, Todd and Luke reunited. Triton's camp went there as well this year. Thank-you for help with Amazing Dream earlier , sorry can't help you with BetFair thing as don't know. I do feel that Grant was trying to win the race as he always does. Would of been great.
