  1. First time I've ever got 10 out of 10. Try again...L O'Sullivan??
  2. Well there's not enough hugging, and telling us to be kind to one another, so I'm ruling out Jacinda.
  3. The three tracks where I was introduced to harness racing have now all gone. Hutt park, Manawatu and Forbury. Good luck getting the next generation interested.
  4. It's all very weird.they want to grow the product....by removing it's accessibility to so many regions.
  5. I've finally found a good reason to be in the south. Some grass track racing....apart from these stimulating cold winter nights.
  6. Why close Roxburgh.? An iconic summer meeting with the apricots. Good fields, well attended. Save the industry by closing popular destinations...bizarre
  7. That would involve common sense, sadly very short in supply.
  8. Which would be the nearest course to you when this takes effect?
  9. So it's all a joke to you that my heart operation and cancer treatment are deferred because the arrogant Ardern says so.
  10. Galah is strangely obsessed with polls. Must be Twitfords PR guy.
  11. That was a Labour party run and organised poll. Maybe gullible is the word that accurately describes someone who believes it.
  12. And some of us have had urgent heart and cancer treatment postponed while empty hospitals wait for covid patients.
  13. Perhaps ensuring penguins were keeping the required distance from each other. To be fair, they bring many people to town who spend money. If the racecourse closed down, I don't think many would care. But if the penguins decide to move on, it would have a big effect.
  14. And I see our hard working police officers were patrolling beaches today, telling people off!!
  15. No. I apologize. I'm being rather naughty. Lockdown is taking its toll.
  16. It's been a really good thread. I agree with recent posters that Forbury Park is still important, it has a role to play in a major city. It's an important middle point between Canterbury and Southland. Obviously the facilities are an issue, and that comes down to money. Let's hope that there is sufficient energy and vision to make things happen, as it would be good to see it come back with a bit of oomph. After all, Otago....it's all right here
  17. I talk enough s**t. That makes me well qualified.
  18. In view of your "man crush" comments earlier, the "softest hands" observation now puts things into perspective.!!
  19. Poor king Ludwig II. Seriously mad. I must aspire to be more like him.
  20. That's the most disturbing thing I've heard in ages.
  21. Agree entirely. In my area, not one case of the virus. Yet businesses are going to fold, and livelihoods ruined. This isn't Spain or Italy, but the response now is ludicrous. And I watch the likes of Brad Williamson, down the road from me, with his plans for his champion trotter, upended. So, yes, there are many who are being affected, unnecessarily.
  22. There are a lot of people under pressure at the moment. That doesn't give them the right to lash out as Mr Orange did. It's time that adults responded with maturity and self control.
  23. Good points.
  24. And wasn't Jamie Bates in the same era, for you?
  25. Nah, Cindy will make him Minister of Health.
