  1. Or Saggy, baggy Bigguns.! Flipping spell check!!
  2. I look forward to seeing a horse race with the name, Saddy baggy Bigguns.
  3. And in places like Oamaru, maintaining any interest in racing is becoming impossible. Fewer meetings, no radio coverage, no TV coverage for the poor ones like me, no newspaper coverage etc. But we're led to believe by vested interests that an AWT track at Riccarton will solve everything. There's more chance of me turning into Mae West.
  4. Wow, calling the good folk of Hokitika "gutless".....pretty, staunch hardy Coasters I've always found.
  5. It depends on who is hitting his thigh.😀
  6. My corporate box at Oamaru has to remain empty for another meeting .
  7. And what are your thoughts on Celine today.?
  8. Bev Williamson. If she's having trouble remembering a horses name, she uses the technique of identifying the drivers....as most of them are her family. Very easy to listen to.
  9. We have an excellent commentator at the Oamaru trials.
  10. The panic buying of toilet paper will be one of my lasting memories of this virus. Quite bizarre.
  11. And in Oamaru, even though there have been no positive virus results, we are in level 2, and the panic buying at the supermarkets is in full swing. And I'm not allowed into the Kurow trots.
  12. Jacinta's sister?
  13. I know it's rather insensitive given the circumstances, but every time I see "Covids return", I think it's a great name for a race horse.
  14. He might make it to the Kurow meeting, and we'll form a guard of honour.
  15. It's a big improvement on the non activities that happen at most Oamaru meetings. Most excitement is generated by the chap who gets his dog to carry the programme around in its mouth.....or by counting the number of loose nails in the grandstand seats.
  16. And then you've got numpties like me who have no idea what's going on, and all I want is a winner for today
  17. A no hopers grade.... sponsored by Mehe perhaps??
  18. Same in the south. Good winter tracks sitting idle while Riccarton gets hammered.
  19. Don't the nurses come around and make sure they're all secure for the night?
  20. If I had used grammar like that at school, Mrs Wickens would have pulled out the strap.
  21. I think we know someone who is in need of some English grammar lessons.
  22. Agree. I wonder what the reason was. I am a simple lad and I always take careful note of the drivers. Being Oamaru based, I carefully follow the Williamson boys. I got caught many years ago at Invercargill when I saw an owner/trainer take the reins of his horse. The gentleman concerned was a very large unit, and not surprisingly, the horse was well beaten, and very tired.
  23. Yes, intriguing. The horse finished much further back than recent starts. Always go with Matty.
  24. It was good to see the wins being shared around by a variety of stables, not just the big ones dominating.
  25. There's no need for that. Offer something sensible or log out.
